March 17, 201412 yr Member I always thought Jane Sibbett was irritating. Her voice isn't all that calming either.
March 17, 201412 yr Member Her voice isn't all that calming either. Just think - she was the runner-up to Patricia Heaton for the Debra Barone character on Everybody Loves Raymond. Can you imagine her screaming at Doris Roberts' Marie? Only dogs would have been able to hear her. Yikes!!
March 17, 201412 yr Member Can you imagine her screaming at Doris Roberts' Marie? Must I? On the flip side, though, she seemed well-suited to her role on "Herman's Head" (an underrated show, IMO).
March 17, 201412 yr Member She's very shrill and one note. Her voice is too nasally. And I have visceral reactions to her face too. She can be OK at bitchy one liners but that's it.
March 17, 201412 yr Member Must I? On the flip side, though, she seemed well-suited to her role on "Herman's Head" (an underrated show, IMO). Doris Roberts would have mopped up the floor with her!! Never saw Herman's Head, so I can't comment on that.
March 30, 201412 yr Member Okay, I heard about this. It was a loooong time ago and I believe JD and IR got into it over IR allegedly flirting with JD's fiance at the time (the one he dumped for Fergie). I believe it was at the Daytime Emmy's in the early 2000's. Yeah, I remember that, too. At least JD didn't name his kid Peanut!!
May 4, 201412 yr Member Oh hell, you remember I gotta big mouth. Just to be nice and so that nothing [else] comes back to bite me, I'll just post the positive stuff... Kristoff St. John... nicest guy of all. Can't say enough good things about him. Absolutely Y&R's No. 1 welcome wagon. Shemar Moore... the same. Kristoff and Shemar were the nicest, most accommodating, genuine people there. So many of the men there are so nice and open to conversation and taking the time letting the "little people" feel special: Christian LeBlanc, Thad Luckinbill, Josh Morrow, Michael Graziadei, Greg Rikaart, Doug Davidson. Don Diamont is kind of intimidating, but opens up if you strike up conversation. John Enos is very tall and intimidating and doesn't seem to want to be bothered, but not mean. Just intimidating. Keith Hamilton Cobb checked me out. Just sayin'. Black guys love redheads. Lord knows I know all about that... He was apparently standoffish to all the other interns, but was sweet as pie to me! Michelle Stafford: Coolest chick there. Can curse like a sailor while rehearsing. "[!@#$%^&*] me in the a$$!" was said a number of times, but it was all joking fun; she wasn't really upset or anything. Very nice, very funny and open to talking. Lauren Woodland: Sweet as pie. Talked with her a number of times. Grew to love the character she played cuz I knew the actress was so nice in person. Jeanne Cooper: Love, love, love! Had a half-hour conversation with her about the industry one day at the end of the work day. Here it is almost 5 o'clock, she's totally able to head on home, and she sits with me in her dressing room and we talk about daytime, her son Corbin, the industry, lack of respect from primetime, etc. Great, great lady!! Thad Luckinbill: Very accommodating and open to meeting fans. Introduced himself and was very open and nice when my family came to visit the set. Same with Greg Rikaart. And for those of you wondering, the following men I got to see shirtless up close: Joshua Morrow, Keith Hamilton Cobb, Christian LeBlanc, Doug Davidson, and Winsor Harmon (Thorne on B&. Joan van Ark... wow, she's um... eccentric. Maybe I'll explain more later. Tonya Lee Williams... wow, what a fun, lovely woman. I actually helped her on a project, scanning many various articles and photo spreads of her for some sort of portfolio. Nice woman and very appreciative of my help. Didn't see much of Jess Walton; she didn't have much story at the time. Also got to meet B&B's Susan Flannery, Winsor Harmon, and John McCook thanks to Y&R's producer Kathy Foster, who knew I was a big Flannery fan. Susan Flannery was so nice and warm and kind. I also met B&B/DAYS' Joe Mascolo in his dressing room and talked about his former DAYS... That reminds me, I also mentioned Eileen Davidson's former DAYS while talking with her. Wish I had had the chance to talk with her more, but she always taped her scenes first thing in the morning so she'd be out the door by like 9am! I pretty much saw all the B&B'ers too. Katherine Kelly Lang is super-beautiful, Ronn Moss is super-tall, and the guy who played Thomas Forrester (his name escapes me at the moment) is much better looking in person. You'll notice there's a few Y&R peeps I didn't mention. That's because, as the saying goes, "if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all." ...Just realized that none of this had to do with any feuding. Well, there was *one* feud between a star not mentioned and the directors in the booth that I witnessed, but like I said, I'll keep mum. I know this post is old, but why were you on set? Thanks for sharing your stories!!! ;-)
May 4, 201412 yr Member I've also heard that Don Stewart and Melinda Fee of Guiding Light back in the late 60s/early 70s were disliked by the rest of the cast - that they were mean and also that DS never knew his lines, forcing all his screen partners into last minute rehearsals with him. Maybe he should have taken a cue from Jacquie Courtney and written his lines on his hands and sleeves!!
May 7, 201412 yr Member Sorry if this has been discussed earlier in this thread, but wasn't their some kind of heat between Roger Howarth and James DePavia on OLTL???
May 7, 201412 yr Member Oh, okay, lol. I've never heard of any discord between Roger Howarth and James DePaiva. But I wouldn't be surprised if that were true. No offense to any JDP fans out there, but he's always struck me as a little...uh...surly?
May 7, 201412 yr Member I thought I had heard somewhere that they had gotten into an altercation either in or right outside the studio over something to do with KdP
May 7, 201412 yr Member I know that Lisa Rinna and Kristian Alfonso did not get along during LR's first run on Days. They apparently got into shouting matches, even while taping scenes. During one of their little temper tantrums, both actresses stormed off to their dressing rooms and refused to come out until the other was gone halting production schedules one day.
