I've heard people say they thought her reaction was fake, they didn't believe she would be so giddy or shocked, etc.

I think she's just a little odd and people aren't used to that because you generally have very very rehearsed actresses in the spotlight now.

I'm getting that people didn't like that she winged it and rambled without saying much. Like, you can wing it and ramble if you're being devastatingly witty and charming, but if there's a lot of vamping and pausing, the most interesting part being an expletive, people start turning up noses.

Except a lot of the people complaining claim that it was all fake spontaneous and not "winged" at all.

It's hilarious. All of the people claiming she beat up Kirk Douglas and stole his cane must not have seen the "bit" ten thousand years earlier when he fought some random dude for the cane. Jeez.

Several Michaels or Elizabeths I can approve of, that's like any person's real-life experience. Y&R is always cited for having two Johns at the same time. I liked how they would say John Silva's full name, again, a nice realistic touch.

Y&R has/had three Johns (John Abbott, John Jr & John Silva) & three Michael's.

AMC has used 'Marissa' twice.

It's odd how many fairly common names were only used once on AMC over the years. The only ones I can remember being used in major or semi-major roles more than once are Mary and David.

David Young (detective on the Zack Grayson murder mystery who later briefly romanced Brooke for a while). Yes, I'm an AMC geek.
