Obviously she didn't kill Viki :P , but she made an attempt at Viki's life you're trying to say? Wait, was she the one who went off on Viki when she had the heart attack?

No, Viki died. She caused Viki to crash her car and she was clinically dead. They later were able to revive her, but VIki died and went to heaven in the story. When Tess found out, I dont really think she cared or had much remorse for it. She was like oh well

I just have to say, I think Bree is a LOT better as Tess than Jess.

She is! But it's also the kinda role a mediocre actress would be better at, let alone relish... (Mainly not her fault--I dunno how anyone could make Jessica interesting...)

Yeah, text book speaking, isn't the point of these personalities to protect the primary personality? Tess out and about and on the loose, "I'ma do me" attitude, does that jive? Or are they in the broadest sense saying that Jessica just needs a break and Tess is going to go all out with that concept? I know this is just a soap opera but when dealing with a very campy storytelling device that is actually rooted in a very serious subject matter, I feel that you have to handle it as accurately and respectfully as possible.

Tess has never made ANY real sense--not even a tiny bit. It's kinda insulting after what Malone and Griffith did to Vicki/Nicki (etc) in the 90s and then to see how Higley justified Tess with that wretched child pornography scene, which, in her circumstances being away from the abuser *medically* would still make no sense.

she killed Viki without a second thought. She could care elss abut the people Jesica loves

I thought that Tess hated Viki and saw Niki as her mother.

As for BW's performance as Tess, she is OK this time, so far, but she was just shockingly terrible in 2008. I don't know what that was about.

Hey, you couldn't give me a brief recap of what made the whole Viki/Nicki story better than the Jessica/Tess/Bess story, and where/why they went wrong? Did they actually portray DID with some realism? Most shows use it as some campy plot device that feels more fiction than fact.

Much appreciated if you do.

They've done the DID stuff quiet a bit with Viki as well but the definitive story was the one from the mid 90s. Viki had about 7 personalities, each potryaying a differnt side of her. Erika Slezak was phenomenal and this was potrayed as serious and not a campy plot device. Giving DID to Jessica was a lame immitation of what her mother went through, partly bc Bree is nowhere near as strong an actress. I di like the original story with Jessica and Tess bc Tess was written as a real person with layers. She started off very one note, but slowly she developed into something more and the story turned into an alter struggling to have her own life as she fell in love and a life seperate from Jessica. The subsequent returns of Tess and Bess have been less favorable bc Tess lacks any real depth or moivation. She is a plot device that they use to move story along for Jessica. She's written as cartoonish and her very presence highlights that Jessica is nothing but a weak mess with no backbone. Theres no reason why Tess should have returned. It sort of made sense last time bc Nash was killed and that was the man that Tess fell in love with but the current drama has nothing to do with Tess. The story would have been better had this been about Jessica with a backbone dealing with and overcoming whats happeend to her on her own. Instead she's taking a break and letting her alter deal with it

Nora to Todd: "You need the legal definition of rape? You should look up People vs Manning, 1993"

What a great line! I cant beleive OLTL had her throw it in his face like that. Unexpected but loved it

Joey is too stupid to live.

Nice crotch shot Gina.

I cannot STAND Aubrey, I can hardly wait for her to go down. How annoying that the flash drive thing got all muddled.

LOL Nora at, "If you need the definition of rape, you should look up The People v. Manning, 1993." That was awesome.

There is no Jess though.

Current Jess is just a placeholder for her scenery chewing alters.

Ohhhh, that, okay, gotcha. ;) Dorian held Viki's life in her hands, office building heaven...

WHAT?? Is Charlie trying to say that he had booty call on the mind from jump street? Wow, he and Viki are so over.

Even though Charlie is a bonehead, I really hope we don't lose him and Echo. I want them around from here on out.

Ben, to piggyback what Cheap said, the mid-'90s DID story was my most favorite s/l ever. It was written with such depth and detail, a dark, riveting, edge of your seat, can't miss a day tale that I loved watching unravel. The *second* it was announced that Jessica would have an alter too, I felt insulted as a viewer because that s/l decision (DID and heredity be damned) has and always will be a cheap fanficky knockoff of the original.

I wish Kelly was hungover every day.
