Goddard hasnt qualified for the Younger Actor category in like 12 years...lol. Alot of people here are putting people who are too old for this award. The cut off is 25 years old.

She's cute but horrible. I like how adorable she can be but she is definetly the worst child actor on soaps today.

GH has the WORST utilization of its female stars on any soaps. I had a hard time coming up with names as well. The only women on this soap that would qualify for Lead Actress are Laura Wright and Vanessa Marcil. I gave 1 to Vanessa but theres no way I could consder Laura Wright best at anything when she's horrible as Carly. I threw the other to Rebecca Herbst bc I guess she was lead in her story for the first part of her year and did good with the crap material thrown at her

I picked KMc because she had that nice episode with Stone, and I would submit that if I were her. Normally I find her sort of dreary, but I chalk that up to her no-talent co-star. It's tough to find men to submit also. I guess GH has to go with Geary because he is the only GH actor the emmy voters care about, but I can't think what episode he did this year worth citing. I know Chad Duell is unrealistic, but why shouldn't he be put up for Best Actor? So what he is 20, he had the stronger material. If this is who GH wants to give the goods to writing wise, this is who they should put up. I really found the supporting noms easier to fill because the kid who played Keifer was great, and James Franco was great in the monologue episode.

Now that I think about it, calander 2010 did have a strong episode for DZ with the episode Sonny shot him. It was so long ago I forgot about it. I would submit that if I were him. And the guy who played the judge, he might be someone I submit for best supporting. I know the shows don't work that way and all these people are out of the running in favor of their regular cast, but their guest stars and short run actors did have some good stuff--certainly better than any crap Tyler Christopher could possibly submit, or Jason Thompson.

So who’s confirmed on the pre, pre-nom ballot?

Over at Port Chuck, GH’s supporting actresses are collective Emmy winners Julie Marie Berman, Kimberly McCullough and Jane Elliott. That means Carolyn Hennesy, a nominee last year, and a true supporting actress, is out of the race as well.

Supporting actors are: Dominic Zamprogna, Jason Thompson and a lock for the win, three-time Emmy winner Jonathan Jackson. Unless James Franco is thrown in lead, it looks like the Oscar nominee/co-host won’t be competing for Emmy gold. It also means perennial nominee Bradford Anderson, who was thrown on the backburner this past year, isn’t competing despite his affecting performance when Spinelli grappled with hints of depression after Jason offered himself as prison bait.

As for Lead Actress, all I know is Laura Wright was chosen as one of three women to rep GH.

And before you ask: No, the Emmy pre-nom ballot hasn't gone out to the whole industry. Once again, GH is breaking the rules by bloc voting top three favourites by the show’s brass. Like last year, the entire industry is supposed to vote on a list of anyone who wants to compete with the top three pre-noms per category moving on to compete for the final round with one episode of their work as a submission.

As revealed last week, Y&R’s Tracey Bregman is submitting herself in Supporting, DAYS’ Crystal Chappell in Lead, and Y&R’s Michael Muhney is throwing his name in supporting, report sources. Rumblings suggest DAYS’ Nadia Bjorlin will compete under supporting, as she did last year, and, as expected, James Scott under lead actor from a recent interview he gave me.

Two World Turns stars are surprisingly submitting themselves under Lead – and no, none of these actresses are Maura West. One is already an Emmy winner, and another is a multiple Emmy-nominated thespian.
