ABC: Emmy nominated actress possibly leaving in February?

I will praise the soap gods!

I think becky is the top choice for this BI, Kelly Monaco should also be mentioned. Both would be shocking exits, and guza sees both as disposable. (Also, if it is Kelly i will glady take her over on Days as Sarah Horton)

I think the reason she has to make up for that time is she took an extended one, didnt she? If not then her honey moon at least could have to be made up.

Oh I would hate to see either one on Days. This is a weird thing I have, but soap hoppers I think diminish soaps. Ron Moss is on B&B, Alison Sweeney is DOOL, each time a soap hopper hops they just chip away at the uniqueness of each soap. Arianne Zucker, Nadia Bjorlin, Jay K Johnson...these are traditional Days faces and when I see them I get in a Days mood. Tamara Braun came on and I felt "if I wanted to watch ABC stars I would turn on an ABC soap". There have been a few soap hoppers known for their hopping and they don't bother me, but if you bring over too many GH actors, you might as well just watch GH. Natlia Livingston is enough (and in her case one actress too many  )

I guess this is sort of like how in the golden age of Hollywood the studios had their own stars and when you saw an MGM picture it was a wholly different mood from a WB picture.

I will never understand this. At all.

If an actor is good then they can convince me they are playing a different role. Now if the role is a carbon copy of the former role thats a different story. When tamara came onto days i saw Carly for about two days. Then she was Ava.

Natalia Livingston is more than one actress too much, shes about two actress too much. Days is very female heavy now. Also, she is awful so they can fire her and hire just about anyone else and i will be fine.

If only Days could have waited and cast Becky Herbst as Nicole's sister rather than Natalia Livingston. (Presuming Becky is indeed the subject of the BI.)

Bellcurve, you make a good point. They're not doing anything with BrookLynn. She is emmy nominated. She's a Q (Guza loves killing them), she's "special" to Sonny (so we'd get some crying in the chapel "WHY WASN'T IT ME!?"), she's Brenda's goddaughter, etc.

I could definitely see it being AL/BrookLynn :(

Adrianne Leon is not on contract, though. So she can just choose to go. This sounds like a contract player, to me. And really, I doubt the exit would be something "no one saw coming" if it was her. Because she is C level, at best, in terms of storyline.

Time to fire NL and recast w/ BH!

I do not think she would be shocking at all.

Kirsten Storms or Kelly Monaco, shocking. Leon or Herbst? Not so much.

What about Bree Williamson... Now that would be shocking.

I wouldn't mind if they recast Taylor with Becky Herbst, but I don't want her stuck working with James Scott. I'd love to see her and the guy who plays Brady together see if they have chemistry

If it's a GH spoiler, I doubt it's as "shocking" as they make it seem. GH is the king of playing things up and then it being nothing. For instance, the TWO DEATHS! of the traumatic bus crash....Which ended up being a dayplayer with no lines and a girl we'd seen three times.

But I do think it would be shocking if it was Herbst. She's been around for a long time and up to just a few months ago she pretty regularly had story.

    • Seeing Peter Bergman (Jack) and Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki) act opposite each other really makes me mad that their short-lived reunion in 2012 was just that... short-lived. I've always loved the Jack/Nikki pairing.
    • No.  I recall there was also a mention about how distracting it was EOB's Gwen wasn't wearing nail polish as well.  That it was someone's pet peeve. And, yes, the fact characters can have a manicure in prison is the wildest continuity issue here.
    • Can anyone remember Mary Ellen Stuart's run as Jenny? I'm trying to fill in the cracks for missing stuff that we overlooked.  Bulletpoints:  * Dated Ross * Rusty's police partner * Directly responsible for Dinah coming forward about George Stewart (Cam's father)
    • But that's not weird... nail polish is allowed in prisons via commissary. Same with general makeup, haircuts, and hair colouring products.
    • This is DAYS, the show that said you could brainwash anyone with simple kitchen appliances.  An actor's nail polish or lack thereof should be the least of our concerns, lol.
    • It was not that she wasn't wearing nail polish, it is that she managed to get a manicure in prison
    • "We're Knot Done Yet": the name of this lovely podcast AND what JVA tells her plastic surgeon at every appointment. In other news, Michele Lee is reminding me more and more of my old music teacher from elementary school, and I couldn't STAND that bitch.
    • I apologize if this has been covered already, but does anyone know whether Douglas Marland was HW'ing by that point?  If he was, then I see what he meant when he said (in so many words) that he had inherited a mess when he started at GH.  Aside from Alan and Monica, none of that material seems very promising.  The story with Mark Dante and the Corbins is the wrong kind of predictable (y'know, the kind where you know what's going to happen, but you just don't give a crap?), the stuff with Scotty and Laura is cute but toothless, I don't know WHAT the hell Gina and Steve Carlson's character are arguing about and Rick Webber has to be the dumbest man alive not to see David Hamilton twirling his invisible moustache over how to make a killing off Lamont Corbin's declining health.  (By the way, "LAMONT CORBIN"?  What is this, "The Shadow"?  And "Corbin Limited" sounds like some jive I'd hear over on Y&R.) In a way, it's kind of like watching today's GH, right down to the dialogue that's serviceable and pushes plot along but says nothing about the characters' inner lives.
    • It absolutely was; the narrative was there, and they followed it promptly. Maybe that's back when women had babies at young ages?!?!?
