I doubt they would bring this up after so long unless she's going to be having a baby by the end of the year. The rerun of her and Jason talking about having kids last fall makes alot more sense now

It didn't used to be that way. I think in the 90s you had Maxie , Michael, Goergie and Brook Lynn, and that was it the for the entire decade. (Maybe Dillon)

In the 2000s you have one after the other

Kristina, Morgan, Molly, Lila Rae, Emma, Josslyn, Aiden, Jake, Cameron, and then there were all the failed pregnancies like Carly 2 failed ones, Courtney, Lulu, Sam, Liz's 1 or 2 failed ones, and maybe one or two I am forgetting. GH is Romper Room.

Sam is the last person who needs to be rasing a baby. I just never bought her as the type of woman to be yearning for a baby.

Sure there have always been a lot of people that get pregnant, but until recently they're were very few that actually made it to birth.

In the 90s on GH, you had (that I can remember and I think in order):

Maxie (Frisco & Felicia)

Dillon (Paul & Tracy)

Serena (Scott & Lucy)

Lulu (Luke & Laura)

Georgie (Frisco & Felicia)

Brook Lynn (Ned & Lois)

Michael (Carly & AJ)

In the 80s you had:

BJ (Tania & Tony)

Jason (Alan & Susan)

Lucas (Tiffany's siter & whoever the dad was)

Tom Hardy Jr. (Tom & Simone)

Rick Webber Jr. (Rick & Ginny)

and maybe 1 other that I missed

The babies use to be spread around through the families and they did a good job of making it so the next generation wasn't all related to each other, but now, just in the 2000s, we've had Kristina, Molly, Cameron, Jake, Lila Rae, Aidan, Spencer, Emma, Morgan, and Jocelyn- all of whom, except for Cameron, Lila Rae, and Emma, are related to each other, and now if Sam has a baby by Jason, it'll be related to everyone too!

Do the other soaps average 1.4 babies per year? I know DOOL has been bad lately with non-stop babies, but I attribute that to the hiring of an ABC hack writer. Just the other day I was listening to Robin and Liz talk and all they prattled on about were their kids. That's why soap children suck most of all, because they ruin and cripple the parents. I am glad Lucky escaped from the dire fate of just being daddy of the year. He is out tracking down Balkans and galavanting around Ireland, and Liz has nothing on her mind except singing "Baby's First Christmas" by Connie Francis. Robin...if I never hear the word "Emma" again it would suit me fine. Jake, Joss, Spencer...they can all run into the Pied Piper anytime GH feels like it.

Most of the current soaps seem to have multiple pregnancies every year with at least one birth.

AMC - Angie and Madison are currently pregnant. Before that Amanda and Bailey had babies in 2009 with Annie and Randi both having miscarriages.

Y&R - In 2010, Lily had twins and Mac left town pregnant. Victoria also miscarried last year. 2009, Ashley miscarried and Sharon had a baby.

OLTL - Jessica and Natalie are both currently pregnant. Marty miscarried a child last year and Stacey gave birth. In 2009, Marcie got pregnant and gave birth

B&B - Amber is currently pregnant. Bridget had a baby last year. In dont think there were any pregnancies in 2009. Previous year had Katie pregnant.

Days - I dont have to go there as you mentioend it.

There's been no shortage of pregnancy storylines on the soaps in the last couple of years. GH might be more noticeable as most tend to be related to one man (Sonny)
