TE: Is Bianca ever going to get a love interest, like every other character on AMC, or in your opinion is homophobia in daytime TV alive and well?

CBL: I think it's actually the opposite of homophobia. I get the sense that it's so important for AMC now, as a trail-blazer in the gay community, to make Bianca and Reese right in some way and to do them honor and treat the story with respect. I know there will be a love interest for Bianca. She loves so hard that it would be impossible not to explore that with her! But I think they're taking very tiny steps and being extremely cautious and sensitive in order to take as much time and give as much significance to this important part of the Bianca and Pine Valley and to avoid any mistakes. It's so important to them that they treat Bianca's love life with respect. I feel that on set everyday, and I have the utmost confidence that when it becomes a prominent storyline, it will be rich and deep and complex, and I'm grateful for that. I feel very safe and will fight for love in Binx's life!

I'm glad to read that she's confident in this. I guess I can understand why the show would want to take it so slow. I think it's obvious Bianca/Reese are over, they should have ended a few months ago though. I'll be looking forward to when Bianca moves on from her and finds someone new. Seems like CBL is here to stay and I couldn't be happier, she is great.

TE: How hard where the recent scenes you did with Alicia Minshew (Kendall), After Kendall loosing Zach. She made me cry. How do y'all do it?

CBL: Alicia is incredible. I think her depth of work on those scenes was astonishing, as good as a lot of work I've seen in movies and on stage, and I want to applaud her for that. I really just watched her and did what moved me. We wanted it to be really focused on her, and so my strategy was just to listen to her and be there for her, as an actor and a person. Some moments, I was sad that I had to imagine all the history between these characters (besides the youTube frenzy I participated in when I got the job...) but that's also what's so fun about this job: taking the facts and imagining what I would have done in those circumstances. Then, it was just about listening to Alicia and letting her direct the scenes. I also would guess that, as a person, she was missing Thorsten, too, as was I. I only met him a few times but he can really get under your skin, in a good way. He's pretty incredible and hard not to want around, so there was a lot of mourning going on, and we could all relate to it. The shared feeling made it easier to come together and it felt very real and honest. That's probably why you cried; we were crying, too!

Those scenes were very sad to watch!! I'm glad to get some insight into what went on behind them. I had a feeling TK leaving as Zach influenced a lot of what was going on there.

The twin can play Molly Montgomery and AMC and go the way of Sabrina/Frannie on ATWT...twin half-sisters.

Wasn't that already done with Lily Montgomery and Ava Benton? Twin half sisters who were, like, five years apart played by Levin Rambin who was, like, younger than all of them? Pretty soon, it'll be a Montgomery trait.

I forgot about Ava Benton! Leven really showed her lack of range at that time. Ava was such a caricature. It was a sad showing for a show that has had so many successful single actor twins (Adam/Stuart, Alex/Anna, Kelly/Kitty).

I never cared for the Alex/Anna thing. As you said about Leven, I thought Finola Hughes showed her lack of range.

BTW, you left out Natalie & Janet (I know they weren't technically twins, but...) :)

How could I forget the amazing Natalie and Janet! Oh Kate Collins, you still own this man's heart.

I remember Finola recounting how hard playing Alex/Anna was because for so long she was playing Alex as if she were Anna. The twins were too alike. She asked David Canary how he was able to do it year after year, but it was such a different situation. I did like when they began to soften Alex, and make her more feminine. Whereas, Anna was more rough around the edges. Finola did regal very well; though I am sure it was not acting, I once saw her step into a Rolls at LAX.

I guess another big AMC twin failure was Karen and Cindy Parker. They never did explain how Karen, Cindy's sister, had her married last name. Maybe Fred was playing around in more than just drugs.

Yes, Karen -- Cindy's evil twin sister! Karen didn't last long, did she? I remember her kidnapping an infant JR!

She was in and out. It was weird to see Ellen Wheeler as Karen in the audience at Cindy's funeral. And the bad wig... do not get me started.

LOL. It's funny how this thread morphed into a discussion on dual roles & twins.

Here's video I found of Ellen Wheeler as Karen:

I LOVE Finola Hughes, and miss Anna on AMC, but I agree the Alex/Anna thing was a gigantic bust, mad3e all the more confusing because she played each the same. I think she's a talented actress but without much range--deadly for that kinda role--but to make matters worse, the writers never made any real broad differences between the two characters. No wonder they shipped Alex off so quickly.
