I don't know, but I think Sony is planning a major reboot of Y&R.

God, I hope so. I've tried watching Y&R again recently. It's not even bad anymore. It's bad and boring.

toups: any writer/director updates for November?

I'm hearing that Meng/DeCozotte may spruce up the directing with some new additions, possibly Donatelli and/or Karen Wilkins...

Any news about Cullitons going?

I could see Karen Wilkens directing at DAYS. For the past few months she's already been freelancing as a Stage Manager for DAYS. Passions' former Music Director, Paul F. Antonelli, has been at DAYS for a few months now too. I wonder if Mary Kelly Weir will come back as a Producer, or maybe Lisa will bring in Richard Schilling to be her #2. Albert Alarr is still directing a lot since he became a Producer, so if he stays as Producer his directing gigs might decrease. I also wouldn't be surprised if Jim Sayegh or Peter Brinckerhoff started directing for DAYS.

Why do you think Lisa would bring over Gary Donatelli?

Is Kay Alden "out" at B&B? I had no idea. (I wonder if Ed Scott's joining the show has anything at all to do with it?)

I'd love to think this means an eventual return to Y&R (hey, somebody's gotta send the show out on a good note!), but I'm not getting my hopes up.

Is Kay Alden really out at B&B "temporarily"? If so, what does it mean/why?

According to set sources, Alden had a very bad accident while vacationing in Mexico. She was snorkeling and a boat's propeller struck her. It was touch and go for awhile, but she pulled through. She's probably out temporarily so she can recuperate fully. She'll undoubtedly be back.

Thank God she survived the ordeal. Here's wishing her and her loved ones all the best as she continues to recuperate.

I rank this as one of the most dumb HW changes because she, and Korte, wasn't given a fair chance. It's up there with Brash/Cwikly being unjustly fired for Dena Higley and Karen Harris being dumped for Brown/Esensten at PC.

+ 1,000. ANd they should still come back. THEY GOT DAYS.

No, they didn't. Aside from Sheri Anderson, Margaret DePriest and Pat Falken Smith, no one's ever really gotten DAYS.

Not even Bill Bell?

Well, since I wasn't watching back in the '70's, I didn't feel like I was qualified to make that assumption. :)
