Ok. That was HYSTERICAL. Y&R was so often hilarious. I love how Mamie recoils in horror.

 

Y&R did those Skinemax scenes better than anyone.

I know Y&R is more of a serious soap, but they always did humor well. It's more subtle then say...DOOL

Totally. I often see Y&R very unfavorably compared to, say, a Nixon soap in terms of humor, and I remember laughing out loud at Y&R a LOT growing up.

One LOL moment was when Esther was on a health food kick and Brock snuck into the mansion a bucket of fried chicken. Does anyone else remember that?

A lot of the lines Katherine and Jill would spew out always make me laugh!

Y&R was hilarious growing up. I remember Jill was arguing with Katherine and she said something like " Now if you will excuse me, I have a distended bladder I need to attend to"......LOL

Jess Walton hated that line.  She didn't want to say that line.  She went to Bill Bell himself and pleaded with him not to make her say the line.  Bell replied, "Say the line."

Ha Ha. Bell was a stickler on what he wanted. They said he and Kay Alden would have their lunch during the show. If he saw something he did not like onscreen, when the show was over he would pick up the phone and call the control booth and eat John Conboy up over it. In the 80's Bell and his family moved to California to be more hands on. He still would watch the show during lunch in his office at CBS.
