It's not... it's just the stupid people who did the poster originally used a different background than the original shot had, and they cut around his HAIR... so that's what your'e seeing. So yes, it's a cut and paste... but not his head on another man's body, it's his entire head and body on another background.

I was reading a Digest issue from 1994 or so and they said people were writing in complaining about Nikki doing needlepoint and about how dull her life had become that she was doing needlepoint.

Do you remember this? I wasn't watching every day so I must have missed it.

Dull? I wouldn't say that, Nikki still had plenty to do that year, Jed, fighting with Victoria (to name a few)

I guess people thought that she stayed on that ranch too much, which is definitely true, than again it was one of the most distinctive things about her back then.

It's funny that after watching and uploading my classic Y&R episodes, I don't think Nikki was as much as a couch potato alone at her ranch as we all thought. There are a handful of episodes of her leaving the ranch, so its best to say that maybe she stayed at the ranch about 75% of the time.

Chris and Snapper's Wedding

In this episode, Chris Brooks and Snapper Foster are married. The program begins at the Brooks home as the family prepares for the wedding. Chris's mother and sisters, who are her bridesmaids, gather around to show their support and to follow the wedding traditions. Chris also takes this time to individually thank and bid goodbye to each member of her family. At the Foster home, Mrs. Foster takes Greg aside and commends him for his participation in the wedding, despite the fact that he is also in love with Chris. She also speaks to Snapper on the subject of love and reminisces about her own beloved husband. The wedding itself is flawless, as Chris and Snapper blend the traditional with some special touches of their own.

Don't know what date this but would have been 1974

Jed Andrews and Laurie Brooks discuss Jed's plans for divorcing his wife, Betty, and the alimony arrangements. After Jed leaves, Brock Reynolds arrives and tells Laurie not to destroy Jed and Betty's marriage. The following events also occur: Stewart Brooks talks to his daughter, Leslie, who is worried about Brad Eliot; Laurie invites Betty over and gives her advice about how to save her marriage with Jed; and Leslie confronts Brad about his deceptive decision to allow others to believe he is dead.

1976 episode

Liz Foster bares her soul to her son, Snapper, and discusses her decision to pull the plug on the life-support system that keeps her husband, William, alive; Brock informs Joann that Peg will not marry Johnny since she is still recovering from the trauma of rape; Joann wonders if she still has a chance to win back her ex-husband; Mrs. Chancellor brings a gift for Jill's son on his first birthday and reveals that she has known all along that her husband fathered Jill's child; and Snapper overhears a detective talking to a nurse about the suspicious circumstances surrounding William Foster's death

    • I agree with this. The fail is trying to make Joss some kind of heroine.
    •  That's my station station too. Yep, just turned the TV on and Pope is on. Welp.
    • Yeah I saw it and it's still idiotic. I like the Pope, but it's not interrupt shows newsworthy
    • As someone who was watching OLTL at the time, Dano did excellent work, but the writing was weird. Dano even got Emmy nominated for what she did. However, it did feel that the writers did not know what to do with her, but to be fair, it did feel like a lot of that was that the character was a network mandate and the writers were making it up as they were going on. I didn't watch Dano's trek around all the soaps. That kind of thing would have worked better with an ABC performer not someone who had been off OLTL for decades. I can't imagine AW without Felicia Gallant. I really don't want to because she provided so much joy for me when there was so much disappointment on that show. The only time I thought her character didn't work was the John/Felicia storyline but it got Anna Holbrook an Emmy so I can't complain all that much. It's just another example of drama at the expense of character.
    • Bringing this over from the soccer/soaps ratings thread yesterday:  Errol said: "CBS put out a notice that it could preempt at a moment's notice as the Pope selection continues, dependent on how long it takes, of course." New pope just chosen, name to be announced soon. Yeah CBS-NewYork channel 2 is airing Pope coverage instead of Y&R right now.
    • @brisbydog - I like that you have a signature font, très chic Abe and Paulina's new apartment was the first thing I noticed.  I don't understand why people over a certain age in Salem automatically move into a condo? When it seems just as simple to make the set seem like a detached home.  But, I will give points to attention to detail of choosing colors that compliment the Black actors in the scene. Which then led to the second thing I noticed.  Why would EJ want Kayla's office, when his is 3xs the size?  Also, even if he buys the hospital, won't Kayla get to keep her office? Lastly, can we at least give Cat the agency to decide on her own with whom she wishes to date?  Do men actually need to negotiate on her behalf?  She's stunning.  My advice would be if Chad is friend-zoning her after a year together, move on to his richer brother.
    • OH!!! I love it. I can't believe I missed that. In one of the 2 fan events held the 2 years after the sorry end of our lovely show, both  Anna Stuart & Stephen Schnetzer attended & I got to talk to each of them. Obviously I was in heaven. Although at least I didn't do my shy star struck thing.
    • We probably won't get any of our CBS soaps today cause of the Pope stuff, cause you know they have to air it on regular network despite having 24/7 news channels
