Soap writers can learn a lot from TWD writers. There are crimes and actions that are too heinous to forgive so milk the drama, give the villain the occasional redemption, then kill their ass off. So the answer to why they killed off Merle is that TWD is not a soap opera, it is well written human drama.

Thanks, Chit. LOL! I was thinking that if TWD was a soap opera, the group would eventually take Phillip and Merle in. Beth would fall in love with Merle and order her father, Glenn, and Maggie to forgive him because he has a "good heart." While Maggie would fall in love with Phillip who is just "misunderstood" and eventually dump Glenn who has loved and risked everything for her. RME.

Does anyone read Erik Kain's The Walking Dead reviews on Forbes? It is one of my favorites. I think he is pretty insightful. This week's review is particularly good. Here is the URL: http://www.forbes.com/sites/erikkain/2013/03/25/the-walking-dead-season-3-episode-15-review-this-sorrowful-life/

Yvette Brown!!!!! SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! The best guest on TTD so far, IMHO! She really delves into the show and its characters and wasn't just sitting there to be funny. She needs to return more often.

Gotta tweet her!

The honest to goodness truth, and I absolutely hate that!

Glenn would become a jealous ex who kidnaps Maggie and holds her hostage and Phillip, the love of her life, would save her from the awful evil Glenn, who's now homies with the zombies.

I thought the best scene Rooker had last week was either the stuff in the car with Michonne or him in the cells with Rick before he left. "I don't know why I do the things I do. I'm a damned mystery to me." I've always liked Michael Rooker since he was a jobbing character actor in stuff like Cliffhanger - he's always had that intensity, but also something very frail beneath, I think.

I am glad they have let Michonne open up as a character, not a cartoon like she is in the comic book, where she's the Angry Black Woman. She has a lot more facets here.

Damn, Damn, DAMN! I just spoiled myself on who supposedly dies. idk how accurate they are and I'll be all types of sad come Sunday if it really does go down like that.

I am glad that I did not. :) My speculation is that Hershel is a goner which is already causing my heart to break so I am prepared.

LOL but the sad thing is, even when I know spoilers I am still always surprised at ish when it really goes down and I see it. I used to beg people to spoil movies for me and then when I watched it that mess was still shocking.

With the finale on the way I had to have an icon for one of my favorite characters, Jim. I wish they hadn't killed him off.

In honor of the finale of such a wonderful drama, we all should change our avi until the finale is over.

Daryl and Merle, baby!!!!!
