Did he mean romance for Rick? I can't see the show going for Rick/Michonne, as much as I wish they would. (he's denied it in a few interviews so unless he wants to surprise us he's lying) I hope they won't do Tyreese/Karen/Rick.

Another Lincoln preview.

I still have that awful feeling they will kill Sasha and that's going to cause some sort of big tension between Rick and Tyreese (of course they have barely even shared a scene so it's not going to have the same impact, but I still have that feeling).

I'm pretty sure

Sasha is doomed sooner or later. The preview pointed to that pretty heavily, and a similar familial death is what caused Rick and Tyreese to come to blows in the comic book, although I believe this plague storyline is all new.

In the comic Tyreese and Rick became like brothers soon after meeting. That connection just isn't there now. I wish they would spend more time building up Tyreese's relationships with people before they do something along these lines.

Daryl is Rick's sidekick that is not going to change unless maybe Morgan returns.

It could be Sacha who dies, alternatively it could be Karen. Losing Sacha and/or Karen would crush Tyreese. With Abraham's arrival, I have my doubts that Tyreese makes it out of this season alive anyway. This show loves its white men.

There are a lot of guys on the show in that age group. The storytelling in the premiere seemed very fragmented and attempting to give little bits to everyone. So that might mean no more situations like T-Dog barely getting lines in season 2, or Beth holding a baby for most of season 3, and singing a few times. But I do wonder if one guy from that age group will go.

I like Daryl a great deal, but sometimes I feel like the character is so overhyped. I just don't feel that great love that others feel for him.

I like Daryl a lot, but I thought he was going to buy it last year and be replaced by Merle. I think he's got maybe another year or two in him, but at this point it's inevitable that they're going to start killing more of the old guard.

I think he's too popular unless Norman wants to go. I think he might even survive over Rick.

A lot of people have been having that same feeling--Daryl seems like he doesn't have too much time left in him. As for killing the old guard, it better be inevitable. I don't know if most people watch for the zombies and to see people bitten, but any story is only as interesting as its characters, and if they start getting rid of the core people, there will be nothing left to draw in this viewer. Ultimately, I have to believe that it's who all this craziness happens to that attracts the viewers. I have a feeling they know that as well, that's why none of the really popular actors who are core have been killed/written off.

I think he's too popular as well. But do you really think they would kill off Rick? (Unless it happens in the comics, in which case, I don't wanna know!)

Eh, they killed off Shane who was popular. Ha, let Norman Reedus ask for raise.

I don't know if I would count Shane, only because (other than the zombies) he was the main villain at that point and it felt like his story had really come to an end. I mean, there was no way to keep him around, unless he disappeared for a good long while and came back (which I presume Phillip will do at some point).

I don't think they'll do anything to Rick until the show is over.

It depends on how much they deviate from the comic. I think Daryl is the main draw for many now so I think he'd survive over Rick.

In Shane's case, he lasted quite a bit longer on the show than he did in the comic. Beyond that, there was also the whole Frank Darabont issue (most of the actors who worked most often with Darabont pre-TWD are gone...the one left is Melissa McBride).

Speaking of McBride, there's a two-page interview with her in the new Sci-Fi Magazine (December issue).

Unless Andrew Lincoln gets into a contract dispute or decides to leave, no way that ever happens. Rick and Carl will out live everyone.
