I'm guessing the people who didn't see it are people who didn't even know that Pamela Rebecca Barnes ever existed in the first place. People who saw the original series almost had to have an inkling from the start. Just the name Rebecca itself tipped me off. Then her reaction to Chris bringing how Chinese food? Dead give away. Loved it!

Okay, Ann just won me over... that scene in sleaze's office!

I guess you could attribute it to the fact that she's headed into town, but I was laughing to myelf at how she always looks like a million bucks in her blazers, leggings, and heels whenever she goes to see her slimey ex, it's like pathological. But damn, she got him good!

John Ross renting out the old Ewing Oil space was like fanfic gone right. Nice touch.

I actually think JH did a pretty nice job with that scene where Elena stormed out.

Carl mentioned JM's rumored pec implants above, and they sure did look like swangin' titties when they were playing basketball.

I actually thought she was going to be that stupid to sleep with him...well the writing cliche......I just hate how they try to make her this million bucks Ewing yet they try to make her out to be the next Miss Ellie with her shotgun comments and stuff...ugh To me she is no Mrs. Pam Ewing or Miss Ellie. I did like the scenes but she is NO Ewing.

JH is ok in my book. I did love the Ewing Oil Building shown again but I think that was the one JR bought after losing the original Ewing Oil to Jeremy Wendall. I think Bobby did finally get the offices back. I loved the old Ewing Oil Building set. I didnt particuarly like the new set that JR bought.

LMAO at your JM titties....hahahahahaha...when he laid on top of JB I thought damn those are huge tits....LOL

Yeah, it's a little hard to believe that it would be an empty shell like that now. It definitely looks like a new building/raw space that has never been inhabited.

I must say, I really enjoyed this ep and was so tickled by J.R. at the end. I'm very glad that they got a second season and I'll be watching as many of the old seasons as I can in the next few months. Random memory, yet I'll never forget that night in the 6th grade, we had our first little hormones raging school dance, and my cousin and I came home and there was my aunt and uncle watching the Dallas finale as we gave them the play by play on the dance. I watch now and think, "Larry, Ken, Patrick, Linda, you may NEVER die! You better live forever!" Much of the joy is just seeing these old characters again which is such a luxury given that so many of our beloved stars have passed away. I want to see these people, these characters while I can, even if the writing isn't as great as the orignal series. And let's not pretend like those last seasons of Dallas were exactly Strindberg. I'm soap thirsty after this year of cancellations and Dallas 2.0 is hitting the spot.

It was nice to look forward to something again. Dallas was my favorite nightime soap and it's glad to see it back on tv again. I wish they would bring back some of the original extras that are still living. It is great that we wont have to wait till next summer to see the next season and come the new year a new season of Dallas arrives. It's great having it back after ATWT was cancelled and no other show has seemed to empty that void.

They showed one of Cliff's henchmen carrying Tommy's body into a vehicle during the scene between Cliff and Rebecca. I hope the actor is back next season. He is very good looking and can act.

I loved the finale and the entire season in general. Its been amazing! My only complaint is the new generation. I tried, but I just can't invest in them. It feels like the writers have no idea what their doing with them each episode, but John Ross is the most entertaining of that set.

I can handle the acting, in fact its much better than some of the acting from the last 2 seasons of Dallas. I could hardly watch Cally Ewing.

I think there's something to be said for the fact that I can stomach the not-so-great acting of the newbies but it'll be a cold day in hell before I bring myself to watch the online after show specials hosted by Camera Whoreison. I just can't.

I liked the episode, but I wish there was an outright cliffhanger like soaps used to have. Where is Katherine Wentworth when you need her? Cliff turning on Christopher this was is a little sad, Pam would be so disappointed in him, as would the first Rebecca. What is Audrey Landers up to these days anyway?

See I was hoping for a outright cliffhanger too but I am fine with it. I know what you mean about Katherine Wentworth...so good....Until you mentioned I hadnt realized that Cliff turned on Christopher. Since I cant stand Christopher because of the casting I dont mind it. Yes, Pam would be disappointed I think thats why the producers wanted her back or want her back on the show. I know some of my friends thought they might pull a fast one and Victoria would be the cliffhanger. Audrey Landers was in the first reunion movie in 1996. She has expressed interest in returning to the new Dallas but no word if producers are interested in bringing Afton back.

    • I actually thought he came off as younger. It's so hard to buy Martin as Nicole and Ted's son unless they had him when they were 12.
    • @chrisml Isn't remarkable that, on a soap whose brand is built on twists and mysteries, that Raven's last straw was as simple as Logan saying that she was incapable of loving Jamey.  In the episode when Raven exit's and leaves Jamey with April, I can remember feeling the subtext that Raven is also trying to talk herself into leaving him behind.  There's so much in that little scene.  She's trying to stick it to Logan for saying she was a bad mother.  She's both granting April's wish, and damning her with the old adage of being careful what she wished for.  And, she's hinting to Draper that she's going to boff his father. It remains my favorite scene, and it still blows my mind that was not the end of that episode.
    • Oh lord not Drew just figured out it was both Nina and Portia that set him up. Willow WILL never leave this man.
    • And in addition to Patti being de-aged, she was no longer a nurse, divorced from Len(fair enough) and her two children were not seen and barely mentioned. So basically she was a totally new character. For newer viewers it didn't matter but any loyal viewers would have been wondering about all the changes with Patti. Sarah Whiting always puzzled me. The writers finally decide to acknowledge Jo's family and do so by making up a never mentioned adopted teen. Why not just bring in Tracey, Jo's actual grandaughter? As for Liza, perhaps it would have been wise to rest the character when Sherry left. They were big shoes to fill and her Liza was so identified with Travis. I don't recall what was going on in the story at that time but if they knew Sherry was leaving, write it so Liza would leave town to care for an ailing Janet and take a breather with the character for a few months.
    • Ahh interesting. Yeah, that's sad for A-M. I will say, he and Nick became fast friends when Susan started working at Spaulding. A-M/Lucy/Nick/Susan had a lot of double dates in those 7 months. A-M was Nick's best man at his wedding to Susan, which now that I think about it, is odd that he wouldn't have considered Fletcher. I remember those two were so close at the paper, and even living together with Ben. Once Tangie left SF, Nick left the paper, and Fletcher/Holly were rarely seen... so I guess they felt that friendship wasn't shown often enough anymore (which again, lazy writing).
    • I honestly don't think Alan-Michael ever really had a friend on the show. Maybe Cameron or Samantha, but otherwise... *Cameron was a high school friend who ended up dating teenage Dinah after she broke up with A-M. Samantha is Phillip's biological sister, who A-M treated like a sister. Interestingly enough, they were born the same week on the show in 1981, but A-M ends up being older than her when she returns to town in '89.
    • I thought he was very cute too, and a likeable presence even though on paper Cliff was a prick. I wonder if he was well-liked by viewers or someone at the show as there's a point in these episodes where he could have been written out and was not.
    • I'm not a Derek fan at all (and not even all that much of an Ashley fan, but man has she become awful in their relationship--like she's not even trying.  But also I admit, I don't think I'd ever live with someone, even someone I was married to (I know they're not married) in a bachelor apartment unless I had to.  Even just a one bedroom would make a big difference.  I'd probably end up hiding in the bathroom a lot

    • Going back to this, I'm even more confused why Amanda would say that only a year later (lazy writers), because I'm watching April 29, 1996 right now and literally all of the current on-air Spauldings (Alan, Alex, Amanda, A-M) and Coopers (Buzz, Lucy, Frank, Eleni) are on a plane together for Lucy/A-M's wedding. Along with Reva (which right now makes sense because she's married to Buzz), Dahlia (so out of place, but by default because they can't let a high school kid they just took in stay home alone), and a very random Rick (he's barely had any interaction with any of these characters all year haha).  It's like a madhouse on that plane, which is pretty comical because most of them don't get along... but they very much know each other. Still miffed that Bridget is totally forgotten here. And David. And Nick/Susan! Couldn't they have waited to fire them until after this wedding?  It was only like 2 months later. They had to make Alan be A-M's best man (which is wild to me) bc A-M doesn't even have any real friends on the show right now.
    • You're right and I do imagine many longtime viewers were put off. I suppose the show felt many of the longtime fans were gone, so in that sense I get it if the show had continued. They should have taken greater care with the generation below Patti. It's hard to remember she was meant to be mother to Sarah. I wonder if that is one of the reasons they killed Sarah before Patti arrived. Or were those different teams?
