Deja Puke: Don't be surprised if you see a storyline on one of the six remaining sudsers in the near future that is a blatant ripoff of a "Whole Town in Peril" umbrella story another soap did in the not-so-distant past. Considering the soap that did this story originally (Twice actually!) was panned for it big time, you'd think it wouldn't exactly be a benchmark, but what do we know? We're just silly online fans.

I can only see it being OLTL, GH or Y&R.

DAYS doesn't have the money, AMC is the soap being ripped off, and this just isn't B&B's style.

Hey, if it is OLTL maybe Gigi and Cole die in the aftermath of the tornado.

Reading Jamey's blind item, I think more and more that it's Y&R, from his statement "but what do we know? We're just silly online fans. " I remember that one interview the writer's did with Nelson where they said the online fans opinions' don't matter.

OLTL, GH or Y&R would be my top 3 picks too. I think there's a slim chance it could be Days. For sure not B&B, you're right totally not Brad Bell's style.

What 2 stories are they ripping off of AMC? The tornado? I dont remember it getting panned. I personally loved that. I generally love disaster storylines and would love to see another on a soap

Yeah the AMC tornado, wasn't the 2008 one panned?

I can't think of any other soap that has had a disaster in the recent past other than AMC, maybe the OLTL snowstorm, but it obviously isn't that.

OLTL had a hurricane a few years back. I think it was 2006 or 2007

The thing says whole town in peril but that sounds like a typical GH plot. I immediately thought of their sweeps style stuff like with the virus. Didnt they do that twice? I remember the original quarantine when Tony and Courtney were killed off and I remember hearing about some virus 2 years later. I wasnt watching then so I wouldnt know

Its gotta be Y&R. Bill Bell must be rolling over in his grave. Y&R was once so above and beyond this kind of tacky soap opera garbage.

It stinks of something Y&R would do. Another desperate stunt to draw attention from their rotting core. Chompers, Victor, and Ronan and Nick save the day as those who are unworthy (JT, Jack, various female characters) either die or are weakened and feeble.

Y&R's Clear Springs was universally panned.

If it is Y&R than I guess Maria is doing an homage to the Wizard of Oz. It would be hard to find out who the Scarecrow would be.

Wasn't it a tornado? It happened during Marcie and Michael's wedding or just after. Duke was killed during it and it was in 2006.
