I'd like Bridget to find happiness as well, just don't know if Owen is the one to provide it. TIIC seem to be angling for the old "and baby makes three" storyline with the older wife out in the cold. Rather than see Step-phony be right for the gazillionth time, I'd have the three be (Jackie/baby/Owen) with Bridget being the crazed outsider using the baby as the wedge.

I think B&B needs a complete overhaul and restructure. It was great in the summer but as the scandal plot has died down, there doesnt really seem to be much. The show seems to be centered around a triangle with the Forresters at one end, Jackie M/Marones at another and Spencer as the 3rd. Id dismantle Jackie M and incorporate it into Spencer as Bill is stronger as a lead character than Nick or Jackie

Characters to drop:

Jackie

Owen

Nick

Agnes

Oliver

Whip

Donna

Marcus

Justin

Sure thats alot, but really they dont seem to work and/or dont have much going for them. I would actually give LA another earthquake and use that disaster to kill off a bunch of them. Owen, Agnes, Oliver, Justin and Whip can die. Nick feels he's lost a big part of who he is and doesnt feel happy or fufilled in LA anymore, so he decides he wants to sail again and leaves to do that. Marcus leaves to attend school and Donna goes to be close to him and get away from the Forresters. With her husband dead and her company destroyed by the earthuake, Jackie doesnt feel she has the energy or drive to rebuild. She accepts Bill's offer to buy Jackie M and leaves for a European cruise. The earthquake story would basically be used to get rid of the dead weight and position Bill to make Spencer the secondary force on the show

House of Spencer

Bill's spent so much time trying to get Forrester but realizes it would be much better to start his own, or rather take over another and compete with them. I think Jackie M failed, bc it tried to be a cheap Spectra immitation and no one can immitate Sally. Spencer would be a different empire and a force to be reckoned with. For one, it wont rely heavily on camp. Katie would be appointed CEO and Liam would work for him. Thomas, disgruntled with his treatment at FC, joins up with Spencer. Amber would be kept on from Jackie M. Brooke also realizes that she is fighting an impossible battle as Steffy and Stephanie will never let up on her and accepts Katie's offer to join her new team. This will of course cause problems with Ridge as they are pitted against each other in the fashion world.

Steffy/Bill/Katie/Thorne

Bill may have his own fashion house but he still controls stock in Forrester, which Steffy wants, while he wants hers. They will dance around with each other, trying to one up the other, but ultimatly find themselves in an affair. Katie will grow increasingly suspicious of them and will lean on Thorne. They used to date and will get close again. Despite not being his father, Thorne finds himself drawn to Liam, which Bill hates, and these two men will become main rivals.

Liam/Hope/Ridge/Brooke/Deacon/Bridget

Liam and Hope are cute together and will continue to play up the young love with them. She will continue to help him as he tries to find his new place with his new family. She will also face some issues as she meets her birth father, Deacon for the first time. With Nick gone and Owen dead, Bridget struggles to pick up the pieces of her life and continue on as a single mother. She goes back to practicing medicine (as she did not fit as a fashion designer). Her life is turned upside down when Deacon returns and finds herself drawn back to him. Id put them together and have them be a dysfunctional couple whom tries to make things work. Of course his return will also alarm Brooke, who hasnt dealt with him in ages. Hope wanting to know him better puts Ridge in a bad position and he will fight Deacon as he doesnt want him anywhere near Hope.

Stephanie/Eric

I think one of the biggest problems with B&B is that it relies on the original 4 way too much is scared of letting new blood take over. I think its time these two get married once and for all and thats it. No more divorcing and Eric going after younger women. Let them be stable. Stephanie will of course continue to meddle in her chidlrens lives and offer her opinion and Eric will primarily be limited to the corporate stuff.

Stephen/Pam

They are good as a minor couple. Id continue to showcase them a few episodes a month, nothing big. Eventually they would get married. Pam is good with the comedy and Id rely on her strengths there. They seem to be non-existant these days, but they could work in a limited capacity as supporting characters to their families dramas

Rick/Amber/Thomas

There should have been a triangle here already bc the two guys dont like each other and both have history with Amber. She finds herself drawn to both, not knowing what she wants. Taylor and Brooke however know they dont want her with their son. They at first try and encourage Amber to be with the other and manipualte things which causes the two of them to fight. Eventually they realizes that its better to work together and they plot to get Amber out of their lives for good.

Taylor/Whip

I think she really only works as a Forrester and while Id love to put her back with Ridge, I dont think Bell will ever make her the endgame for him. Maybe they can put her back with Thorne as they only dropped their engagement bc of Alexandra, but I think theres more potential with Katie. It might be best they drop her to recurring and just use her as the mother of Thomas and Steffy as need be. Id keep her with Whip, but Id drop him, writing him being in the other room or out of town during big events.

What do you guys think? I think this would be a great way to restructure B&B Theres enough there that they could rotate around different characters as the lead story while the rest have developments to keep things fresh

I thought the same exact thing...those birthing scenes were very realistic! One of the most realistic I've ever seen. I thought she did a great job as well.

Couldn't fit Taylor in, sorry lol!!

Great ideas Cheap...the Liam/Hope/Ridge/Brooke/Deacon/Bridget one is my fave, I could see all of this happening. I like your idea about bringing back Hope's dad and having them meet for the first time, I also love Liam/Hope together and that would leave them with something in common (both being acquainted and building relationships with their fathers). LOL, I would be a little sad about Owen dying in the earthquake though, since I like him with Bridget together, but Deacon/Bridgette could be good I guess, he could be a father figure to Bridget and Owen's baby and have what he didn't have with Hope when she was a child.

I love Taylor too but she does kinda feel like she's on borrowed time. Whip, I felt never really belonged and he and Taylor got together with no storyline or much investment in them. I could see them maybe doing a medical story with her having cancer or some other ailment.

Deacon is over at Y&R now but he'd be put to much better use on B&B especially since he's been referenced quite a bit in relation to Hope. His return would definetly have a big impact on all these characters.

Oh IA. I think one of the reasons why Jackie M doesnt work is theres no competitveness between it and FC. The Marones have become friends with the Forresters and things are just too easy breazy. Whip is married to Taylor, who's kids are at FC. Bridget is a Forrester herself and has no reason to want to see FC suffer. Stephanie became close friends with Jackie and Nick. Things are just too nice. It wouldnt be that way if Bill was in charge. FC needs some real competition from a rival company which wants to see it brought down and Bill assembling a team of individuals who have beef with them would accomplish that.

Jackie is just...a crazed lunatic!! I foresee her doing something very reckless with that baby. Bridgette is going to start trying to drift away from her and she'll want to move out or something with the baby, and Jackie is not gonna have it. She was showing signs today of going crazy...wow @ her saying "my baby" and not giving him to Bridgette when she asked. She is definitely starting to go off the deep end!

And I love the name and idea of Logan Knight ;-).

I gotta admit, I really liked the Budge/Owen/Logan scenes. I love that they named him Logan too. (I was surprised Brooke and Ridge never used that name.)

It's obvious Jackie's trying too hard. And her criticizing the name was heinously presumptive.

:lol::lol:

I loved the end of today's episode when Bridget sprung on Brooke and Rick that she thinks she's in love with Owen. Their horrified faces and hers ... I don't know what it was, bliss? The contrast was just so funny. That look on Ashley Jones face just cracked me up, trembling lips and all.

Jackie: "She's a Forrester"

Stephanie: "She's a Logan. It passes on through the mother" LMAO! That was funny but Im not liking the extreme change in attitude Jackie has done. She was always level heade din this story. They are making her borderline psychotic and it seems to have come way too fast and out of nowhere. And Bridget is in love with Owen? This story has some serious pacing and writing issues

And eww, today Rick called Bridget, Budge. Ive seen people on here refer to her as that and I thought it was just some fan nickname to insult her. Is tehre a story behind that on the show abc Ive never heard her referred to that before. What an ugly nickname for Rick to call his sister

Bill needs to tone down his hate. Its over the top and unnecesay.

Not sure I like Hope's new hair color and the style. It was weird not seeign her with the rest of teh family and she should have been there instead. Surprised Katie was invited. I cant recall Bridget having anything to do with her since the Nick situation

When is Jennifer Gareis going on materntiy leave? She's as big as a house and it feels as if she's been pregnant forever. She disappears for a couple of weeks nad I think she's gone but then she pops up out of nowhere

    • I can not see Kat as a police officer and do not want that for her. Thats not her passion nor does she care about that stuff. The stuff with Eva and Leslie is specific to her life and wanting to protect her family. Her "detective" skills have more to do with her business background, which makes her very analytical and pay close attention to details. If this show had a corporation, she'd make a shrewed businesswoman and CEO
    • I would make Jan, Ashley's mom, Anita and Vernon's maid. It would lock in to why Leslie would choose to befriend both her and Mona. It also gives Ashley a connection to the Duprees and explains how she befriended Naomi. I would have had Derek start the show as a cop to explain his connection to Jacob. Kat needs to realize that she is MADE to be a detective. Have her go through police training, making the appropriate comments about the uniform along the way. Have her prove she is so much more than a rich princess, even to herself. Then, when Jacob's partner is proven to be dirty, Kat is assigned as Jacob's rookie trainee. At the same time, Naomi does finally get a case she can follow through on. Her client is a person that Jacob arrested. This puts them at odds because Jacob knows this person did it, as does Kat, but Naomi only sees the extenuating circumstances and believes he deserves a lighter sentence and a second chance. THAT is when Jacob will turn to Kat in frustration and she will lose her virginity to him.
    • This opened my eyes and appeals to my logic. But, don't you also think that the fact that they are so ill-suited means that, by soap-opera-laws, they aren't a long term item?  I like how Belle is written now, so I appreciate the fact that she is in this story.  But, I don't believe anything will become of it, and I think EJ is going to mess it up very soon.  Which explains why I don't get too worked up over it. I'm also suspending my outrage until I see how EJ treats Belle during her mourning.  If he cheats with Cat, then we'll know that he was never meant to be happy.
    • Kristen also raped John post-Paris with a Magic Mirror.  Her pregnancy was "delicate" and they couldn't be intimate.  She had already lost the baby, needed to get pregnant immediately again and set a Stefano tricked out Magic Mirror to hypnotize John and John thought he was  having sex with Marlena.  John woke up the next day and thought it was a dream.
    • The show is only a few months in and still finding it's footing. I'm hoping MVJ has years of story in place for these characters and will pretty much stick to that plan (obviously with tweaking along the way) I do have some issues with the initial structure. Making the Duprees the centerpiece and not having a male with that name. Making Martin Vernon and Anita's would have solved that and made the age of the character more appropriate. I agree about not having a young couple in the beginnings of a romance. And having too many married couples. Jacob and Naomi could be just living together. That makes the possibility of other relationships more viable than within a marriage. Same with Smitty/Martin. Having them married with kids limits the story especially in terms of them as a gay couple.  The white characters existing in another universe is also a problem. That ties in with the workplace/job issues. I don't think they needed the hospital-instead the police station/real estate office or Martin's workplace could have utilized and have Derek/Ashley/Vanessa/Smitty/Shanice etc working and interacting there. ATM too many characters are meeting up in cafes etc-we're not seeing them at work. We needed to see more of how various characters interact eg Jacob/Bill, Ted/Bill. There were a lot of extended family scenes but there should be more one on one to get a sense of character and family dynamics. Leslie is a great character but her bag of tricks is getting over exposed. I would hate that she is kept on and other character's made to look like idiots by accepting her presence. They'll need some good writing and twists to keep her around. We can only hope some of the lesser actors improve as I don't want too many recasts or writeouts. So it's early days and I look forward to seeing the show evolve. And give the Duprees some staff!
    • Thanks. I barely remember any of the backstory there, just his ties to her parents. It was all so convoluted, everything with Tangie.
    • 81 and 82 were rather bad, with the infamous invasion of the Kirkland family. But sometime in late 82 or early 83, Claire Labine was rehired as head-writer and immediately put the focus back on the Ryan's. This time Labine's tenure was short, but she did great work. The entire show was compelling again -- especially the Charlotte Greer storyline (one of the best plots of the entire series).  But Labine was fired, yet again, and Ryan's Bar was bombed, resulting in most of the action being transferred to Greenberg's Deli, and a focus on younger characters with little connection to the Ryan family. So that is what you are probably seeing from 84.
    • It wasn't that altruistic. He made Tangie a substitute for Blake and was apparently so creepy about it that Tangie spent the years in between getting away from him and running into him in Springfield believing that he had purchased her to be his child bride. It was only when she got to know Blake that she realized that she realized his feelings for her were paternal and suddenly she and Roger became friends.
    • When I watched 1999 Daytime Emmys in real time, I was like "Daytime Emmys will never top this" and that's exactly what happened (at least IMO).
    • Yes in Sami's case lots of people took issue with her being with Dumbell Austin outside of the Carrie issue, cause she drugged him and raped him by pretending to be Carrie. Austin didn't consent & well Ejami fans have used that as a smokescreen against the backlash of Sami & EJ being paired. It's also not so much as being paired with someone period, but paired with his victim & his victim sister. That's a line that should never be crossed by Belle/EJ esp Belle cause Sami isn't the only person in her family that EJ has terrorized. For all points and purposes since she was aged to a teen, Belle has been a daddy's girl so on top of the betrayal when it comes to Sami it's also with John. He ran him down & murdered him after raping her sister. On top of all the other evil [!@#$%^&*] he has done. "Good dick", ONS with a monster one time is one thing we all have lapses of judgements, it's whole different thing to be a whole bird who throws her self respect out the window for a roll in the hay relationship with a monster & act like you have selective amnesia about his many crimes towards your family. While getting on your self righteous hoiler than thou horse about others. No there wouldn't be as much as outrage if he was paired with someone like his equally rapey Black family terrorizing sister, or Ava, Gabi or even Nicole. So it's not as much as about him being paired with someone period, it's more of who he should never be paired with his rape victim, her sister's or anyone in the family of the man he viciously ran down. I don't expect much of anything from EJ but I expect a lot more from Belle. As far as Kristen goes Brady has been called everything but the word of God rightfully so for being with his rapist, his brothers rapist, the psycho who terrorized his parents for decades, family, the woman he claimed to love after she violated her by using a mask of her face

Please register in order to view this content

to pretend to be her so he would sleep with her. Drugging his sister ie,: Sami. If Kristen was paired with someone that wasn't her victim or victims like Alex, Xander, [!@#$%^&*] even Ben no one would really care for the most part. So I hope this gives you a little insight and I hope you know I wasn't trying to be rude.
