The actor took 2 months off to do something else I forgot what it was. Markko went to film school in LA. Hes returning to OLTL and Llanview the end of this month. I really dont know why hes coming back at all. He'll be backburned or used to prop Langston.

He did a Shakespeare intensive at the Public. Yeah, I thought he was coming back, but unless they even out all these new guys with some new girls, I don't see it happening. Unless Markko ends up with nutty buddy HAAAnnah[/starr]. Of course we know

Cole won't be.

Kelly is only tolerable as Ethel to Jessica's Lucy.

Dear Ron:

Can you please kill off Ford? Do one of your signature 360s on this character, and have him go psycho and die? Pretty please? These Langston and Ford scenes are excruciating.

Nauseating and automatic FF material as are most of the Ford broho scenes.

I always liked Viki's sons, I liked their relationships with their mother and now more than ever I feel like her twin girls have been played to death. Well, Jessica in particular. Still looking forward to this paternity thing, but I hope the show doesn't feel that it's too crowded having Viki's sons around too. That could perhaps be an excuse, but I think the fact is they're more interested in men like Todd and John. And there is still so much mileage to ge gotten out of Kevin and Todd, geesh, Viki bending over backwards for Todd always drove me up a wall yet was oddly intriguing and showed Viki as flawed in spite of herself. NF was my favorite Joey, I've seen more clips of Chris McKenna, the spirit of his Joey too is the kind of Joey I'd like to see back. I always remember ES's sentiment that the show needs a kind-hearted guy like that. Brody is sort of like a tougher Joey who gets more ass.

Viki's speech to Todd in 98's hostage crisis admitted her favoritism of Todd over Kevin. Kevin never will get it either because Viki sees Todd as Victor Lord. The father she hated and loved. She wants to see the good in Todd to believe that there was some good in Victor, too. T&V are very twisted with the whole legacy of Victor haunting her so much she can never look at Todd without seeing her rapist father's specter.

I miss NF's Joey to this day because he was so Joe Riley's son. Kevin is all Buke and I never cared for him at all.

Nice of the show to let us see that everything with Eli was all about Todd and his pain...

I cut Todd a lot of slack today. His wife just died yesterday so he's in a world of hurt. Plus, he showed real regret in not coming clean with Blair about not trusting Elijah one inch.

That would be an interesting angle but I think the show sees it as Danielle being incomparable and Matthew, knowing he is a loser unworthy of her, lashes out because she is gone. Matthew stopped existing as a character when they shoehorned her into his story. That story was the best on the show until she started.

Disagree. It's Starr who is the incomparable, perfectly pretty princess. Danielle is deeply flawed and written more like Todd. She lashes out, says things she regrets but unlike Todd, she does apologize.

Danielle and Matthew were the first teen couple I had shipped since Lucky and Liz in 98. I usually can't take teen angst but theirs was far deeper story. Danielle and Nate are as shallow as a puddle and he's the one that is the worthless loser, IMO. Matthew will be just fine with some edgey material as he did last summer when he was ripping his parents to shreds, long before Danielle showed up.

I wonder what this Eli stuff would be if they did not have to include John or Todd...a lot of stories they are in seem unnatural because they are all inert characters. They just have to sit around and wait for stories to fall into their laps, which they continue to remain barely aware of.

John saves the day has worn as exceedingly stale as Jason's shoot-outs. I'm more shocked when a month goes by without such scenes.

aww thanks. Im not sure where they can or will go with his character as they never branched him out outsie of Langston, and they are clearly going in a different direction with her

. Now all you have to do is email this off to Ron and Frank and Brian.

Oh they're going to do a triangle of course! I have a smidgeon of hope that Ford will take a big fall. His "big love' for Langston is barf inducing.

Agreed! I was thinking the same thing yesterday!

At first when you only saw the side of her face with hair covering a lot of it I actually thought that was Vange. <_<

I really hope that Tea isn't dead--she's my favorite character.

We agree on this much.

But lost me on doing Big Love for Tea/Todd/Blair. I found the Tea/Blair friendship one of the most contrived piece of crap. They should rightfully loathe each other and that's when FL/KDP shine the best together, too.

The one good thing about Blair being involved with Evil Eli is her not gonna being involved with

Father Ford.

Leia, you've been missed.

Yeah I decided to become a fulltime Nanny to help save money for grad school this year which took me to a long summer on the Island. Then I read what they were doing to Vange.

I don't think that doctor is attractive like REG is. I don't know what it is but there's something really off with her mouth. I can't stop staring at it and it looks like it is not a part of her face.

Erika Slezak hated that speech and has publicly called it hogwash.

IDA. Their friendshipw as probably the best thing to happen to both characters this year and Im upset that it developped after I dropped the show. They really had little reason to still be fighting all these years as their issues all stemmed from Todd. That triangle is beyond old, tired and played out and did nothing for either but made them come across immature and silly, especially Blair. Once they finally moved her on away from him, she's been shining. Her friendship with Tea wasnt too contrived bc it was rooted in the fact that Tea was dying. Death kinda changes people. Plus they both have kids which they share via their connection to Todd and Blair loves her daughter as Tea loves her children. I thought it was touching and sweet of both women to finally accept each other and work over their issues for the sake of the children and most of all themselves.

You know what, ITA with you there. I think I  groaned back then assuming we'd be stuck with a bunch of little rich bratty shitz in Hogwarts minus the magic, but we were really outta there in no time. Wasn't there a jerky guy who Matthew and/or Dani didn't get along with too? I have friends who went to boarding school in MA, I don't think I've ever seen a show that dramatized that experience at length. On soaps, kids used to get sent away to them all the time. Matt and Dani would have totally ended up doing it, maybe that's why we got the hell outta Dodge. :P Nah, but I guess it was just a gateway to intro. Dani and get Matt back on his feet.

Yeah there was a bratt who came around. I thought he was going to turn out to be Duke and Kelly's son. Yeah if they HAD stayed there I prob woulda complained. And it's usually bad news to break characters into different locales on a soap for a long time--yet I think, if well done, having the "Summer teen scene" all have to do Summer school in some faraway boarding school (even with the Hogswart's [sp?] influence) could wrok really well.
