GH: Spoilers!

Here’s the Scoop!

You go after my husband and then “kidnap” my kid… hell yeah, I’m going to threaten to end your life. Do I mean it literally? Most likely not. Apparently, Lisa Niles takes it seriously enough to report Robin to Lucky. Gee Lisa, when you took Emma without Robin or Patrick’s permission, they waited on calling the Police, but when it comes to a rightfully angered wife and mother, you go a tattle telling. Give me a break. Dr. Niles feels her life is in danger, especially when she finds her locker in shambles and convered in blood. Karma, Lisa – it's karma and it’s biting you right in the butt. Of course, Lisa is pointing fingers in Robin’s direction for the trashed locker. Could it be that Dr. Niles needs a doctor of her own to settle whatever is going wrong in that head of hers?

Lisa throws herself in front of Robin’s car! And then she claims that Robin tried to kill her! Will this crazy bitch just go away already? Not yet! Another literal movie ripoff needs to take place first. Robin finds one of Emma’s toys boiling in her lab. Then, Dr. Niles convinces (or tricks, depending on how look at it) a co-worker to switch spots with her, putting her in the OR with Patrick.

I must admit, while I’m not a fan of Dr. Niles… Jason Thompson and Kimberly McCullough redeemed this entire storyline with Patrick’s confession. These actors proved in these scenes why Scrubs has Super Couple power. Can Robin look past Patrick’s betrayal and forgive her hubby? Despite his countless apologies, Robin just can’t seem to forgive his transgression. Would you? I’m such a fan of these two that I can’t help but root for them to work it out. Is this all one big old smoke screen though? Are Scrubs trying to put one over on Lisa to keep Robin’s butt out of a jail cell?

Brenda… *sigh* I haven’t had a blog up since Ms. Barrett’s return to the GH fold, so here will be my two cents on the situation. This has been a terrible way to bring her back, especially if you expected her to bring back the numbers she brought with her last time. I admit, I haven’t paid too much attention to the ratings for the time around her return. I was strapped to a parking lot slinging booze at the time. However, there is zero suspense and very little to tie her to anyone in Port Charles, as with her last return. This longtime fan is bored to tears, except for the occasional flashback. I can only imagine that a few of you agree with me. What’s ahead for the world’s shortest supermodel? Sonny finds her in Rome! On the run from the attempted murder charges and the fear that he won’t make bail, Sonny decides to flee Port Chuck and head to Rome in search of Brenda, who has agreed to become Mrs. Murphy Sinclair.

Everyone is covering for Sonny… Dante testifies that his father is not a flight risk, despite daddy dearest already leaving on a jet plane. Olivia believes Sonny’s self-defense story, despite begging her boyfriend to live so that they may be together. I know he’s actually telling the truth this time. What will Olivia do when she hears Johnny lie to Claire about being unarmed?

Back to Brenda… Jason figures out that Sonny jumped bail to go to Rome to see Brenda. Dante steps up for his siblings, who find out their dad fled the country without even a good-bye. Carly wants Jax to get to Brenda before Sonny can. Sonny gets to Brenda first and, as their eyes meet, Brenda is attacked! “The Balkan” is after Jamey’s beloved Brenda. Despite warnings that she should move back stateside, Brenda refuses to bend to the threat.

Is Carly confessing? Brook threatens to spill all to Lulu when Carly refuses to cough up the cash for breaking up Lante. With nothing left to lose, Brook shows up at Dante’s and tells Lulu the whole story. Unable to believe that Carly would do this to her, Lulu confronts her cousin. Carly shocks Lulu when she confesses to the scheme, but Carly never goes down that easy. She changes the story enough to make Brook the one to take the ultimate fall.

With nowhere else to go… Brook Lynn ends up at the Quartermaines. Granny Tracy catches her stealing from Edward’s piggy bank and gives her the boot. Nikolas offers her a place to stay at Wyndemere and a job as his escort. Where’s Elizabeth? She went to be with her sister Sarah… aka Rebecca Herbst’s maternity leave.

CRAZY and RANDOM… Jason, Sam, shoot-out. Jason, Sam, Lucky burning cabin. Sonny confides in Brenda that he is on the run. Dante and Lulu hit the sheets. Tracy misses Luke. Nikolas needs Brook to have proper etiquette. Matt wants the real deal with Maxie. Will Jason and Dante work together to prove Sonny is innocent? Michael still struggles with his time in prison. One of Kristina’s friends flirts with him and Michael tells Jax he doesn’t want to go back to his old high school. Is Sam a little insecure about Brenda being back? Is Johnny offering Lucky a job?

My thoughts:

Robin/Patrick/Lisa stuff sounds great. Loving this storyline. Can't wait to see how Lisa getting run over plays out. I wonder how Mac will react. Will he believe Robin is innocent? Will he put his badge on the line to prove it? Will Anna, Robert and Felicia (okay, wishful thinking on the last one) swoop back into town to help Mac prove Robin's innocence?

Brenda/Sonny/Jax...Sounds like it's getting a little bit better. Sonny is an ass for just up and leaving his kids without saying goodbye. Other than that part, I have no objection to him running to find Brenda...Since she's "been on his mind lately" I suppose it sort of makes sense...And I'm glad Jax is going to find her, too, but WHY Carly would encourage that, I don't know...Weird. Oh well.

As for Brook, I think this sounds great. Honestly, though, I hope it isn't a 123 thing. I hope she's at the Quartermaine's for a few weeks or a month. Plenty of drama with Tracy, a relationship with Monica, bickering with Edward. And I hope it all works UP to Tracy kicking her out. I don't want it to fly by in the link of an eye, ya know? It should be real storyline...Kind of looking forward to "Pretty Woman" with Nik/Brook!

As for WHY Liz would go visit Sarah..I don't have any idea. They loathe each other, and Liz hasn't mentioned her since 2002, when she left town...Would have made more sense if she took her kids to see Jeff and her mother, because even though she's not CLOSE to them, she's never said she hated them, and it would make sense for her to want her kids to be close to their maternal grandparents!

So, it kind of sounds like GH is going to grab my interest for the first time in a long time. We'll see how it goes.

I do agree about that part. I think it's a little too far to make Brook an all out hooker. It would have made more sense if he hired her to clean or be a nanny to Spencer. Something he didn't really need her for, or she wasn't really qualified for, but yet he did because he had pity on her....Hopefully by escort, they just mean she'll be going out in public with him. If he starts buying her cars every time she gives him a handy, I will flip a switch.

They just mean someone to go to him at events (although I have no idea what events Nikolas even goes to). Otherwise, they should have boring Lucky go weep at Brook Lyn and yell FAITHLESS WHORE!!! At least he might be interesting for once.

And it's OK to some extent. I could see them as a romantic couple. I could see him helping her through her rough patch. But to hire her as an ESCORT? How is that helping her? I just think they're playing it way to close to the original "Pretty Woman"...I would have much preferred her be a nanny or something.

I would like to see them start off as friends. Because I think the true testing for romance is if the actors have chemistry as FRIENDS first. Because I never buy couples romantically unless i think they have chem. as friends, or even enemies! just some spark.

And I swear to god if Brooke says "I don't kiss on the mouth", im changing the channel to Let's Make a Deal.

First of all, if you ever bothered to read the post I made in reply to yours, I stated that I was NOT serious about not watching GH anymore, but it was just something that pissed me off. And I still stand by what I said, that they are shameless in the way they treat their veterans. But when I said that I was done with GH, it was an overreaction in the moment. Which I stated in later posts, which you clearly couldn't be bothered to read.

And second of all, just because I post General Hospital spoilers and comment on how I think they sound, does not mean I am watching the show. In this case, you were correct, and I am. But you didn't know that, and as usual, were going out of your way to create drama.

So, I'm done with this conversation.

Moving on.

    • John Black actually was the ultimate good guy soap hero. So I don’t mind the town gushing over him. It’s deserved.
    • Be glad it wasn't a Perry production.

    • The whole town gushing over John Black as if he was a saint is eye rolling.  I guess death really colors people's memories over his many flaws, but I guess that is normal and human nature. I'm still confused as to why Leo hasn't been written out.  The actor stank up two soaps with his sub par acting, what does he have on TPTB's to remain on these soaps.   What's the point of Cat?  I hope the new head-writers figure out her purpose and develop her character. And I much prefer scenes not focusing on John's death because life does go on for the world when someone passes.
    • Wasn't there a break in Zaslow's first run? I thought Roger was off-screen for a while, and when Zas came back, Roger was hiding at the boarding house and Nola figured out there was something hinkey about him. I'm pretty sure Simon chose to leave the first time and was replaced by RVV. I don't want to assume Jordan's issues played a role in his first departure, but Maeve said in an interview that at some point, it became very hard for her to work with him and she asked to work with him less. That seems to fit 1986, where suddenly Vanessa is essentially Ross' law clerk and not at every Lewis family moment.
    • He needs to divorce her arse with her constant cheating.   She's no better than Doug... she's F*cking pathetic.
    • I didn't know of any interruptions for Maeve Kinkead after her 1997 return. Her runs would then be 1981-1987, 1989-1996, 1997-2000, short arcs until the end. I knew Maureen Garrett second run was interrupted from a 2009 interview but I couldn't recall the exact year. Her runs would then be 1976-1980, 1988-2000, short arcs until the end.
    • As I said in May, I have no problem with Martin and Bradley being married. You can still do all the fun introloper storylines with them as you do everyone else. Both men of a certain age, and it is very believable for them to have either a first love or have been previously married. And, you can do it without either of them cheating!

I said something similar during the premiere week. Bill was the perfect age to play Martin as Vernon and Anita's child. I would've much preferred this version, but oh well.
    • I don't know how you want to count Maeve. She "retired" in '00, but would come back for appearances. I don't know however if she made an appearance in '01 or '03. In '02 I believe she came back for Josh and Reva's wedding. I assume she came back when Gina Tognoni took over the role of Dinah. And I know she was back for Ross' memorial service. Maureen Garrett was around until at least '00. I don't think Holly was in town when Ben returned though. I just got pissed off about Jerry all over again.
