February 19, 201511 yr Member Geez. I guess they had her with her hair being fixed mid-slaughter to show us she was a girly gal but a tough one too. I laughed when she pulled that guy out of the van... The odd thing is if this had come out about 10 years earlier I could see it doing well.
February 19, 201511 yr Member Thanks for the information, Carl and khan. I've heard of even most short-lived shows from the 80s, but that one escaped me.
February 22, 201511 yr Member Billy Moses left to become William R. Moses, LOL. I think FC would've left him on the show forever if he hadn't left. He certainly would've filled the void left by Chase and given Melissa more storylines.
February 22, 201511 yr Member Lady Blue aired maybe 3 episodes before the axe fell.It aired Thursday @9 up against Cheers/Night Court on NBC and Simon &Simon on CBS. In Wk 2 of the season Cheers was #6,Night Court #17,Simon #22and Lady Blue #61 out of 69 shows airing.
February 22, 201511 yr Member Billy aka William R. Moses wound up replacing William Katt on the Perry Mason TV movies in the late 80's and early 90's after Katt decided to leave the series. Katt is the son of Barbara Hale (Della Street). Billy was married for a time to Tracy Nelson the daughter of Ricky Nelson. They had a daughter together. Tracy's mother Kris is the sister to Mark Harmon.
February 23, 201511 yr Member I remember when Lady Blue premiered it was supposed to fill the time slot set for The Colbys while that show was being set up on Dynasty (they had to finish that Moldavia nonsense before "Colby's" characters could be introduced on Dynasty). Of course it was a huge bomb and I remember it being shipped off to Saturday nights where I caught an episode or two. I could be wrong about this but I seem to recall that it was only supposed to be a limited series until The Colbys was ready to go.
February 24, 201511 yr Member No one did it better than Jane Wyman. Angela is one of those roles I cannot imagine anyone else playing.
April 13, 201510 yr Member Here's a question for all of you - what do you think were the best and worst storylines FC ever had?
April 13, 201510 yr Member I don't remember specific storylines but once Melissa was dead, I think FC was the worst. Pilar Ortega was a really bad character and then, in the last season, we only had Angela for a few episodes.
April 13, 201510 yr Member Kristian Alfonso's Pilar seems to be universally reviled. Was it just because the character ate up so much screen time, or was she just poorly written?
April 13, 201510 yr Member For me it was because they tried to made a pseudo Melissa and Melissa was unique in the show.
