Oh, nice. Ed Scott. rolleyes.gif Bzzz...

I hope he can whip Flanneria into shape and make her stop walking around the stage like a demented loon in a hospice.

:lol::lol::lol:

He has his work cut out for him there.

Look on the bright side Sylph...at least you'll get to see Kay Alden flash that fakeass grin of hers when she and Ed Scott are side-by-side at the Emmys.

Brad will have the final say on all hiring/firings, but if anyone thinks for a second Ed Scott won't have any sort of "influence" in terms of the production team he picks to execute Brad's vision, in terms of bossing actors/crew members around and so forth, then one better think again.

I bet some people are worried and they should be. Things are about to be ALOT different over there. Playtime/funtime is over.

He needs to get rid of Christy Dooley's looks over substance ass.

He could also steal Mike Denney from Y&R to direct...

Kathryn Foster will possibly be directing again, and could even be a producer if Scott wants to shake up the production team. Scott just better not screw with B&B's signature lighting and think Y&R's classic look would translate well on B&B.

Securing Kathryn Foster has got to be at the top of his list. I would hate to see one of the longtime directors(aside from Deveney)get sacked to bring her on, but Kathryn Foster would contribute SO much to B&B.

I thought the show was good right before Scott was fired. Ava was written off, Stefano came back and we got the hospital lockdown. They were going for a story of Tony and EJ vs John, Tony and EJ vs Stefano and finally Tony vs EJ. Once Scott was out Higley continued with it and John would have something wrong with his head because of what Stefano and Rolf did to him. But one story Higley did rewrite was the Trent Robbins one. In Higley's first episode without Scott Trent all of the sudden had gamling problems even though we before had seen him transfer money to Melanie all the time when she was partying in France. Roscoe Born said that he got rewritten scripts where Trent tried to pimp Melanie out, that's the story we saw play out on-screen. I've heard two other versions of the story, one in which Melanie was Nicole's daughter (the only stuff I'm glad got dropped) and one with Max and Melanie helping Trent with his gamling addiction but he would still remain a shady character. Roscoe Born had worked with Ed Scott and Marnie Saitta on Y&R and they knew Roscoe has wanted a long-term part instead of always playing short-term psycho villains.

Oh hell no to Melanie being Nicole's daughter. The only reason I wish the Trent Robbins story hadn't taken the turn it did was that it ruined Nick. (One of my favorite characters :( )

Another Higley story was Abe running for mayor which Tomlin and Whitesell ended fast by having the mayor murderd so Sami would go to witness protection leading to the introduction of Rafe.

I liked that Higley wrote for Abe and Lexie, they had the autism and mayor stuff, and as soon as Tomlin came on they were dropped to the backburner.

August, September and October of 2008 was an intersting time on DAYS with three different visions. Ed Scott, Dena Higley and Gary Tomlin.

It really was. Ed Scott was a great EP, the show's looks from the summer of 2008, to the end of that year was ghastly.

Word.

Even great directors like Mike Denney have been turning in bland as hell work without a stronger technical producer at Y&R. The writing needs to change first at Y&R, but Y&R has lost all of its signature style and look.

Alvin, I've noticed the lighting has improved. Have you noticed that? It's not perfect by any means, but it seems quite a bit better the last few weeks. Maybe our SCREAMS were heard.

The lighting (and directing) is still far off from where it used to be. The moody lighting the show used to have really enhanced the sets and actors. Now, their current lighting design makes everything and everyone look so cheap.

The directing has also gotten so bland and stagnant on the show.

anyone else think that he will only be at the B&B temporary and the Bells will eventually move him to the Y&R once Rauch decides to leave or they fire him. no way they bring him back into the Bell fold without Scott wanting to be more then just a producer I see a MAB/Scott team down the road
