If you're a David fan..up yours.

Welcome Back! Jesse Hubbard and Angie Hubbard!!

And oh god ... I'll say this again, I could give two sh!ts about tubby

Rebecca Budig's Greenlee is NOT dead. She returned on August the 3rd 2010...that ending sequence was AMAZING!

Welcome Back Greenlee and I love how they wrote that she knows she f'd up, she's trapped, this is gonna be fun to watch unravel. She actual showed signs of becoming an EPIC AMC character today.

Here's how I took that scene, it did 5 things, it made everything understandable, Ryan cares about her, so much that he'd risk his life, Greenlee is trapped but isn't a victim, she told him not to worry to keep him from risking his life, Tubby being there trying to help Ryan showed he's not all screwed up, even though he is. I loved when Ryan refused his help, told GreenMe call 911, he'd rather die than to let him nurse him back to health. And lastly Jesse was suppose to look out for Ryan, but when his wife called he said F*CK THIS! I ain't his babysitter, I'm going to MY WIFE! That is the real Jesse Hubbard.

What is it with the tempers and egos in this thread, huh? Can't we just respect each other's likes and dislikes w/o baiting each other? Not even "Spyder Games" was this juvenile. (And no, I'm not a David fan, so don't go thinking I'm only upset because I am.)

If they are, they'll be joining the likes of yours truly and Amello, who think they should ALL. DIE.

Oh I didn't mean it like that. I just don't care to hear the she should have blah blah blah...she's hurting David right now, and I can't stand Greenlee. But today I felt her character, I felt what she was going through. And again I can not, will not, have not, felt that she is blameless, but chubby over there sure isn't helping his own cause. But they are setting his swan song SL...I've been saying this, thinking it, feeling it. There is no question that's what's going on.

I'm almost there w/ one character..almost.

OTOH, they could be tearing him down completely just to build him back up. Think about how many times they did the same for Adam Chandler.

Yeah, I think they have it set up to go either way. If VI chooses to leave, they'll have him leave town in shame (again). If he stays, I think they will move Liza into his orbit with Marissa in his life as well. No one can fill the hole that DC left, but at least David has a long history with the show. I'm not all that interested in seeing some random new bad guy show up in town this late in the game.

    • Thanks!   Was anyone watching during this time? Wondering how Peggy’s rape played out onscreen. It just seems cruel to subject the Brooks family to this trauma a 2nd time.   Feels like the writers have already given up on the character of Jennifer, even though she sticks around another year-plus. She should be a passionate and fierce protective mother, but instead she seems just reactionary (and not even mentioned in this recap) This was also the case in ‘73 when Chris was raped. The writers are definitely more invested Stuart as the Brooks parent.
    • BTG got another SNL reference at 00:50  CONTEXT (so it isn't misconstrued) in this joke swap segment, Michael Che frequently makes his white cohost Colin Jost read racist jokes written by Che.

    • It's obvious that Israel's presence is a major divisive issue, and this is something that the EBU needs to deal with. According to the now published results Israel got 13 out of a possible 19 max points in the semi-final, and while their song isn't bad there's no way they would get those numbers without some kind of manipulation/political voting. They are clearly using this contest as a way of improving their somewhat tarnished reputation. I know that some people are comparing this to the massive sympathy votes that Ukraine gets and which propelled them to victory in 2022, but I feel that that was a more genuine show of support than this concerted effort from Israel to influence the televoting. I even had an ad on Youtube from Israel in Swedish(!) asking for votes! It might not be against any rules, but it feels a bit icky nonetheless.
    • Yeah, as you wrote, an Israeli win would have been a political disaster. Congratulations to Austria. 0 points from the televoting to Switzerland was a disgrace. Other than that, I really enjoyed the show ... but I'm also glad that Eurovision season is over

    • Hahaha Sorry if I was too negative, I just started typing and typing once I got going hahaha
    • @dc11786 Thanks for taking time to answer my various questions, along with giving your thoughts on the different writing teams. I wonder why they didn't just have Ryder and TR leave together if Jane was going anyway. The discussions over the last few pages have made me more interested in watching these episodes than I have been over the years - without the extra details and analyses provided, these years can be difficult to decipher (not helped by how often Jo seems like a side character).
    • I didn't think this was very good (I've never yet seen a good episode of this revival), but you do get a lot of Michael Stroka. And if you are a Donna Reed Show fan, you also get Paul Petersen.

    • A very rare, fascinating look at camera blocking in a 1980 episode. Very loose, almost startlingly so (who expects to see Will Vernon with a cig dangling out of his mouth?). @vetsoapfan There's some Jacquie Courtney content in the back half of the video.
