I really disagree. I think AMC should invest in bringing back Reese, and continue to explore Rianca's relationship. There is so much more that can be done with them, and Bianca needs her wife with her in PV to be there with her and the girls. The girls miss her, thats been established more than once. There is no excuse for Reese to just be hanging out in Paris doing her Architect work! I will be disappointed in AMC if they don't bring her back.

I'm going to play devil's advocate because I felt Greenlee, Natalia, Jesse & Angie's dirty looks at David were justified when he put on his jacket and there was blood on the sleeve, which I'm pretty sure was the point of that scene. Since we know David wasn't responsible for what happened to Ryan, we know the blood was from trying to help him but the gang isn't so sure.

As for the rest of the episode:

I too hated Ryan's dreams of Greenlee. Sadly, someone behind the scenes is deluded enough to believe this is what we want to watch. At least it was easy to ff through.

Natalia's return was marred for me by her saying that Jesse is the greatest police chief Pine Valley ever had and it was wrong for him to be suspended. Once upon a time, she was calling him out on not going by the book and now she's his lapdog!

Bianca moving back into Wildwind makes sense to me and I think she might be the friend Caleb needs to open up about his past. I'm sure he has more secrets than we know so far.

I loved Caleb confronting JR because it means the Cortlandt/Chandler feud is coming back in a big way. I'm excited for where this is heading.

No, it was established Ryan had a brain aneurism in the lobe where he was shot 2 years ago. Plus, Greenlee knew that the blood on David's jacket came from trying to help Ryan, because he took it off in her presence.

"The gang" is just being a bunch of idiots.

I'm surprised Greenlee hasn't blamed him for her infertility.

Killing Rebecca was short-sighted and stupid and it accomplished nothing, especially when they were lucky enough to have an actress the caliber of Laura Koffmann in the part.

That's the problem with heroes and villains on soaps, it's all or nothing. We know how bad David is. We don't need the Dr. Evil Chorus re-enacting The Crucible everytime his name is mentioned. Just like some of us have no interest in hearing how wonderful Ryan is day in and day out. They can send his ass back to Krypton anytime they're ready.

There was plenty of alleged backstage politics going on with that situation. It wasn't just "let's kill off Rebecca... just because!"

This is just my personal perception, but whenever a character goes into a non-speaking coma, that means that contracts are being worked out behind the scenes.

Unfortunately, Ryan has been up and about and as vocal as ever in his coma-visions. So that means this coma is just for dramatic purposes, and they're giving Ryan speaking scenes (the sappy Rylee fantasies) to reassure Cameron of such.

I missed most of this episode yesterday, but I did happen to catch the lame Rylee dreams Ryan was having.

So in his mind Greenlee is still dead, then she comes back to him, and once he wakes up he'll believe that he's picking up right where he left off with her?

I appreciate you! I've been asking this question for weeks! She's giving a whole new meaning to going deaf, dumb and blind!

Her ego needs to be, as her wifehusband would say, put in deep check! This is all because she doesn't want David to win. Sweetie, he owns the hospital. Game over, get your ass home. Quit stumbling around and walking into walls and wandering into traffic.

Vee: "Oh, for the love of God." If that happens...!

I would say each new dumb plot twist must be like a dagger to Agnes Nixon's heart, but the poor dear has suffered so many, she's probably used to them by now.

Where is the real Angie Baxter Hubbard? The one I grew up admiring? I WANT MY ANGIE BACK, YOU BASTARDS!

I'm torn here. I somewhat agree with you. It's in character for Angie to not want to let go of the hospital or of being a doctor but it's OOC for her to be so stupid about it. The idea that she can keep this a secret until they see if the drugs work is laughable.

And, excuse me, if she's on "experimental" drugs isn't she part of a drug trial? Shouldn't she be checking in regularly with the specialist who prescribed them? Oh wait, he didn't prescribe them. He just had a bottle of them sitting around his office so he gave them to her and let her go back to practicing medicine.

On another topic, as soon as the budget allows it they REALLY need to get a set for Chandler Enterprises. Three twenty-somethings shuffling papers in the living room don't make for a believable corporation.

    • Yeah I saw it and it's still idiotic. I like the Pope, but it's not interrupt shows newsworthy
    • As someone who was watching OLTL at the time, Dano did excellent work, but the writing was weird. Dano even got Emmy nominated for what she did. However, it did feel that the writers did not know what to do with her, but to be fair, it did feel like a lot of that was that the character was a network mandate and the writers were making it up as they were going on. I didn't watch Dano's trek around all the soaps. That kind of thing would have worked better with an ABC performer not someone who had been off OLTL for decades. I can't imagine AW without Felicia Gallant. I really don't want to because she provided so much joy for me when there was so much disappointment on that show. The only time I thought her character didn't work was the John/Felicia storyline but it got Anna Holbrook an Emmy so I can't complain all that much. It's just another example of drama at the expense of character.
    • Bringing this over from the soccer/soaps ratings thread yesterday:  Errol said: "CBS put out a notice that it could preempt at a moment's notice as the Pope selection continues, dependent on how long it takes, of course." New pope just chosen, name to be announced soon. Yeah CBS-NewYork channel 2 is airing Pope coverage instead of Y&R right now.
    • @brisbydog - I like that you have a signature font, très chic Abe and Paulina's new apartment was the first thing I noticed.  I don't understand why people over a certain age in Salem automatically move into a condo? When it seems just as simple to make the set seem like a detached home.  But, I will give points to attention to detail of choosing colors that compliment the Black actors in the scene. Which then led to the second thing I noticed.  Why would EJ want Kayla's office, when his is 3xs the size?  Also, even if he buys the hospital, won't Kayla get to keep her office? Lastly, can we at least give Cat the agency to decide on her own with whom she wishes to date?  Do men actually need to negotiate on her behalf?  She's stunning.  My advice would be if Chad is friend-zoning her after a year together, move on to his richer brother.
    • OH!!! I love it. I can't believe I missed that. In one of the 2 fan events held the 2 years after the sorry end of our lovely show, both  Anna Stuart & Stephen Schnetzer attended & I got to talk to each of them. Obviously I was in heaven. Although at least I didn't do my shy star struck thing.
    • We probably won't get any of our CBS soaps today cause of the Pope stuff, cause you know they have to air it on regular network despite having 24/7 news channels

    • lol Cass and Donna went on a bowling date!
    • As well as insulting our host, being rude to some of the nicest members who correct you, and having an inflated sense of duty. While others may be able to add numerous offenses, the egocentrism to force any conversation off-topic to focus on you is the most egregious act for me.  This is light entertainment, an interactive discussion, not the shallotpeel-hour.
    • Yes, that is why. I mean, not last minute but it was not what Shapiro originally wanted. First, she tried to buy the show. Then she tried to buy the character. Meanwhile several other companies also tried to buy the show.
