July 15, 201015 yr Member CBS coded Monday's episode as special....and of course they were the highest rated episode of the week. I guess they didn't want a higher average for this week to make next week's rating not have a big fall? I don't understand why they would want to code a holiday as a special. 5.57 million people watched Monday's Y&R episode and it didn't count. *shakes head* Considering ATWT had a good cliffhanger on Friday too. Eh...in my view they count because there was regular programming. it really wasnt an actual holiday that was on Sunday..oh well...CBS is stupid...lol Edited July 15, 201015 yr by Ruxton Hills
July 15, 201015 yr Member Umm....I never said you could not be happy but it seems like you are gloating. OLTL is not getting good ratings though. When a network sees that the show is LAST...and ALWAYS LAST in the TV and HH that's not good even with "okay" numbers in the demos. OLTL is ALWAYS under ATWT which is CANCLED! That is NOT good what so ever. Also I want to see ATWT ratings. Its been better as of late. I don't support the AMC v. OLTL viewpoint, and I'm not a fan of gloating. However, let's relax with the use of all caps, and check our facts. OLTL is not always last - just last week. End of May, there was a week when they were the most watch ABC soap. Not that it matters; the ratings are very low for all ABC shows and too close to matter. However, I'll take any improvement, for any show.
July 15, 201015 yr Member Which ones? I am not seeing them. I'm enjoying Tea/Todd/Dani, Cris/Layla, David/Matthew, Blair and Evil Eli & Jessica and Natalie's stories. Most of these stories are very soapy, and I'm intrigued by them.. Just because you aren't enjoying them. Doesn't mean other people aren't. Edited July 15, 201015 yr by Kimmiemae

Got to recalculate when I get a chance.
July 15, 201015 yr Member ABC knows both AMC and OLTL suck that is why we are getting the 3 hour block bluster Brenda Marathon with no AMC or OLTL in sight!

July 15, 201015 yr Member Not true.. OLTL isn't always under ATWT or last!!! OLTL certainly isn't last in the 18-49 or 18-34 demos.. Their .9 in the 18-49 are nothing to writer about though..that goes for AMC too.

Y&R especially usually does well on holidays and bad weather.

July 15, 201015 yr Member Seriously, why did CBS do this? Y&R especially usually does well on holidays and bad weather. They're stupid! Just like ABC was stupid for not airing original programming on Monday where more people are watching. GH isnt airing a new episode either on August 10th. My point is that they are giving GH the three hour block and not the other two soaps! Edited July 15, 201015 yr by Ruxton Hills
July 15, 201015 yr Member ABC knows both AMC and OLTL suck that is why we are getting the 3 hour block bluster Brenda Marathon with no AMC or OLTL in sight! CBS knows ATWT sucks that is why they canceled it I don't watch ATWT so I don't know if it sucks but it's easy to turn the soap-mocking around. Their .9 in the 18-49 are nothing to writer about though..that goes for AMC too. OLTL got 2 0.9's in a 4 month period. Actually in all of 2010, OLTL got only two 0.9's. AMC got a lot. ATWT is lucky to get a 0.9 since March.

Not Nielsen? I don't understand how this works.

If the AMC/OLTL combo didnt suck ..ABC wouldnt want to be cutting its episode count! Eh....ratings for the two shows speak for themselves.....1.8's left and right and OLTL hitting a new low of 1.6...
July 15, 201015 yr Member Just published Toups ratings. GH had a really good week. Toups will link it momentarily. Rux, it's not only AMC and OLTL's episode count being cut. It's not like I'm in love with AMC or OLTL, or GH for that matter, but all the soaps besides Y&R are sinking.
July 15, 201015 yr Member Stupid CBS for not counting Monday. The CBS lineup would have gone up in HH's and Total Viewers had they counted them. ugh!
