And hell, OLTL does that to its Caucasian characters (ditches them for newbies without attempting to fully explore their character potential), no reason to expect better for the minorities. And, if they don't plan on bringing Renee back or a recast, it's pointless to continue on with the coma. I have thought for a while now that the character should be sent to soap opera heaven. But based on what I've read in recaps, I think something else is going on and no, I don't think Renee is coming back. She isn't. That's the one thing I know for sure.
