I can see Lynn Herring being the best possible choice as opposed to the other three, but I can't recall seeing Lynn Herring and Kelly McGillis' names popping up.

Jon Lindstrom was recurring on GH (as Ryan Chamberlin) when he auditioned to play Damian on ATWT. He got very far, and apparently this was enough for GH to sign him to a contract.

Cat Hickland auditioned to play Angela Holliday on OLTL (she said she was probably too glam for the role). She also tried out for Mindy on GL after Kimberly Simms left. She was upset that JFP seemed to think she was wrong for the role and never seriously considered her - she even said that Vincent Irizarry felt she'd be great as Mindy.
