Before Ryan's Hope hired Nancy Barrett to replace Faith Catlin in the role of Faith Coleridge, Kathryn Breech was offered the part

AFTERNOON TV STARS - AUGUST 1977

Excerpt from

Kathryn Breech: I wanted to do it myself...

One of the things Kathryn considers luckiest of all in her life is her role on “One Life to Live”.

She'd only been studying with Herbert Berghof at his studio for a couple of months when she was cast in a workshop production. The wife of one of the producers of “Ryan's Hope” spotted her obvious ability, and informed her husband that he might have a perfect new Faith Coleridge. At just about the same time, the “One Life to Live” people expressed interest in her for the Karen Wolek role. ”I wanted very much to create a role, not replace someone else,” Kathryn explains, “so I chose the 'One Life' offer."

SOD reported that John Phillip Law (Jim Y&R) was a strong possibility for the role of Reed on ATWT ,who was slated to come between Lyla and Maggie.that was Dec 83.That role never eventuated.

The late Roya Megnot (Ava LOV) claimed that the part of Felicia on GH was hers but she wasn't sure about having to sign immediately and relocate to LA for 3 years. ABC was still interested and in NY she tested for Stephanie on LOV,Tina on OLTL and a part on EON. She then landed the role of Ava as Patty Lotz was fired on Friday and Roya started the following Monday.

At first I thought you meant Reid who was on ATWT last year!

I'm glad they never had Maggie and Lyla fight over a man. Then again I guess Anne Sward might have enjoyed having some sort of story.

Roya as Felicia would have been dynamite. She had such an exotic look.

Who was Stephanie?

Hank Cheyne tested for Adam Cory on AW before landing the role of Scott.

Mitch Brown (Jed Allan's son, ex Capitol) was offered a test for TomHardy on GH but didn't take up the offer. David Wallace landed the role.

That's why I can't get into who should play her and who would be so wonderful and so on. No one will. They could cast Marsha Warfield as Victoria and you'd still have the same crap.
