Pretty Little Liars Discussion Thread

I just caught the marathon run they had today. I'm enjoying the show and I recognize a lot of the actors playing the parents from daytime and prime time soaps such as Holly Marie Combs, Chad Lowe, Laura Leighton, Roark Critchlow, Nia Peeples and Nolan North.

At first I thought it was Jenna sending the texts but that is too easy. As of now I'm not sure who is behind it but it definitely has me intrigued.

I am really surprised this is on ABC Family channel with some of the storylines. Teachers dating students, shoplifting, smoking weed and drinking aren't exactly family friendly stories.

Wow, no one has talked about the show in weeks.

Is anyone else watching the mid-season finale?!

Spotted tonight was yet another soap alum! Emily's dad is being played by Eric Steinberg who was Y&R's Ji Min Kim from 2006-2007.

What an AMAZING season finale.

Ian/Spencer with Alison watching and then being angry struck me as odd, so first thing i thought was Alison must be hitting that, however by the end i forgot all about it because so much other [!@#$%^&*] went down.

Loved Hanna watching Aria/Ezra and then seeing that, who i am assuming is, A watching them too. Actually, the entire Hanna plot was great. I love that she knows who A is and that (again, who i am assuming is) A ran her over. Amnesia? i am sure.

So it seems like Ian killed Alison, but is he A? I doubt it. I still say either Mona or Melissa will be A, for now...

I hope they do follow the books regarding the twist, because it was fantastic.

No that wasnt the end. In the end, Hannah witnessed who A was when she was spying on Ezra and Aria making out. Hannah went to go meet up with Spencer, Emily and Aria to tell them who A was but before she could A ran her over with her car. A texted the girls saying "She knew too much." Im sure its on youtube. Watch it!

No, we only seen a figure running. She prob seen a lot more, esp zooming in. It took her a minute to realize A/E were in the car, and she was looking at them from an angle and A was behind them and ran around a little bit, so she could have caught a glimpse of the person and known who it was, esp if she was familiar with the person.

    • I don't think Chelsea has a true label just yet. She's just finding out she has an interest in women. I think the awkwardness is aligned with the character as we've seen. This is the fool who keeps filming her family when embarrassing things happen and live streaming it. I actually think it's refreshing she isn't just jumping into a relationship  and that they're playing the beats of her trying to figure out who she is.
    • Wow, do I agree with you. Chelsea is coming off as ridiculous. All she does is look for a woman to date while not caring about her business at all. That she's bi is great, but they're not writing her like she's bi. She seems to be lesbian. Yeah, I know -- "no labels." I just don't find the writing for her story to be anything other than awkward.   -- I hope we get some diagnosis finality with Bill's trip to the hospital. I don't want to see these trips to the ER every other day. -- Naomi is going to blame herself for Bill's health problems? GMAB. -- Ashley doesn't read as a real nurse in the slightest. -- Another day, another rinse and repeat conversation with Derek and Ashley. YAWN. -- Kat is making mistakes, but she's fun to watch and listen to, regardless. -- I still think the Joey/Vanessa/Doug gambling story sucks. I know Doug is deeply in debt, but I don't like him acting this meek and submissive.  -- I'm not sure what Joey's plan was from the beginning, or why he had to seduce Vanessa at all to get his way. I'm not sure what Vanessa ever saw in Joey -- why doesn't he give her the ick? -- I'm fine with a story where Doug and Vanessa take out Joey.  -- The fades to commercials were pretty bad today.
    •   Victoria's house (that she long ago lived in with Billy) burned down (I think Aunt Jordan set it ablaze?). Victoria briefly moved into the ranch after the fire, with Claire, Johnny and Katie, I think? Mariah and Tessa and baby Aria had been living in the tack house but they bought a house we've never seen and moved there. Victoria, Claire, and Cole then moved into the tack house as soon as Teriah left. I guess Victoria's children Johnny and Katie would live with Victoria at the tack house eventually? But Johnny and Katie went to boarding school during the school year. Not sure if we'll see Johnny and Katie for the summer vacation or where they would live.
    • Victoria’s previous house burned down.    And I know why characters frequent Crimson Lights 3 times a day for brownies, muffins and empty mugs:   THERE’S PCP IN EVERYTHING.
    • Today was a good episode, and the week for that matter. I think they've also done a better job with background music. The scenes in todays episode weren't as silent as they usually are in the background and it was noticeable. I think the show has found its groove well and I'm still invested.
    • Garneau was in the Liberal party and his riding was in Montreal. He was the first Canadian in outer space.
    • I agree. I really have enjoyed this story from the beginning. I feel like it needed the time for us to care about Doug. They've done a nice job of explaining his motives and making me care for him. I still feel like he's doomed and Vanessa will end up being a widow and now I'm invested in that *not* happening now that I've fallen for him. Friday was good but so was the entire week. I think they're doing such a nice job of keeping things moving. We got good movement with Bill's story this week, Chelsea is attempting to date, Andre and Dani are having tough conversations about their relationship, of course Anita reunited with Sharon. There is *so* much going on and I didn't even cover all of it.  I wish all of the soaps would take a page out of BTG book and start rotating their stories. I love that everybody is getting a chance to shine and they don't just sit on one lead story to the point you get sick of it.
