I'm rewatching the show, too (well, in some ways, I'm watching it properly, in order, for the first time ever). Starting Season 2 soon and can't wait to get to Season 3.

This won't answer your question, really but... from what I've seen of Season 6, I bet it was at least good.

Depends on your definition, lol. I've loved Xena the day it debuted fifteen years ago. It had every single thing you could ever hope for if you were a feminist. Hell, you didn't even need to be a feminist to enjoy women taking charge and fulfilling their own destinies without a man, but the direction of the show changed in season three and by five it never recovered. All that bullshit with Livvie, set in ice, futuristic crap, blood drinking, and occult tempered my enthusiasm for the show. Apparently it did for everyone else since ratings declined very quickly. Storylines became erratic and inconsistent and they were no longer grounded in Greece. The character motivation and love between Xena and Gabrielle were at times non existent but the show still remained my favorite tv show.

Xena's death was fitting for a warrior but it was sad nonetheless. The show had a lot of wasted potential, especially when it peaked as it became the number one rated syndicated show. Watching the latter seasons was like putting a lovable dog down. Sad but needed.

YRBB, what were some of your favorite episodes?
