I remember something about the first time Brooke slapped Stephanie, in that I think Susan Flannery wasn't expecting it and was a bit shocked.

Yeah, Joan used doubles from day one. Half of that first catfight in Alexis' studio was done by a double. A double fell into the lily pond. Apparently, Gene Kelly is the one who told Joan, when she was just a starlet at Fox, to never put a stunt girl out of work.

Yes! I know exactly what you're talking about when it comes to Flannery, it's the slap I love from the late 80s/early 90s...it's the first time Brooke hits Stephanie back, they're in Eric's office and Stephanie and Brooke really get into it, Stephanie and Brooke are both being restrained by the Forrester men, Stephanie slaps Brooke and then Brooke slaps Stephanie...the shocking thing for Flannery is that Katherine Kelly Lang actually hit her. It made the scene all the better because Susan's surprise was registered all over Stephanie's face.

I love that Stephanie double slap to Rick!

Not a slap, but a lasting memory from childhood was seeing Alexis scratch Dex's face, leaving her bloody claw marks down his cheek.

Might as well have been an '80s primetime soap...

An epic Abby/Valene scene:

This is one of my favorite slap scenes ever, in this clip. Sid's daughter, played by Karen Allen, comes home after a night out and when Karen snaps, she snaps right back and calls Karen a streetwalker. That part isn't on the clip, but this part is. Sid slaps her, and she slaps him right back! This clip also has a bit of the hilariously AWFUL and just plain hilarious "biker gang ruins Knots Landing" episode. First you see Karen furiously slapping the guy who would go on to rape David Morse on St. Elsewhere. Later, there's a big fight on the beach. Sid, Gary, and Kenny take on the men, but Richard takes on one of the women...and gets a smack!

When Skye slapped that smug look of Sam's face on GH at 1:06...I love how Skye was like oops, she got lost in the moment, I would too if I had top listen to Sam.

I still wish Skye got to choke the hell out of Brenda...her little bobble-head deserved it.
