He's always been quite good to you!? Is there something you're not telling us!?

But yeah, the Zane actor's been pretty much on on-point since his first episode. I'm not that big on Zane the character, though. Of course, that's not really fair for me to say because it's been a while since I've watched, but he's always had this air of superiority. Almost to the point of being insensitive to the fact that Riley was still in the closet.

Speaking of which, did the show ever decide if Riley is or isn't out of the closet at school? The last episode I watched, he was supposedly still closeted, but then he's having these intimate, heartfelt conversations in the middle of the hallway, and then he goes to the LGBT club meeting.

LMFAO!! Maybe I should have phrased that differently tongue.gif

Yeah Riley is out to everyone at school, I think he officially came out at school when he came out to the football team and then nominated him and Zane for King and King at the Degrassi dance.

I like Zane a lot because of how open he is & how he encouraged Riley to just embrace being gay and not hide it. Sometimes I thought he was a little to harsh with Riley and your right he was insensitive to him still being in the closet, I was confused with him at times because one minute he'd be fine with Riley wanting to keep it a secret & the next he'd find a reason to be upset with him.

IDK about anyone else, but I am rolleyes.gif at this "I found god" S/L with Fitz. I never cared about that guy much before anyways, seems like the show is trying to make him happen now all of a sudden. He was better as a bully. Plus I really don't care about Claire or Eli that much.

Loving the runaway Alli S/L

I feel like Jenna has been pregnant for like 18 decades, that baby should be out by now I think. Also can the show please stop letting that girl sing!! ph34r.gif

Decided to bump this up since I just read that today happens to be the tenth anniversary of our favorite little Canadian high school sudser (sorry, Edgemont!).

I know! I read that the other day, that is something else. It's funny because his original character was sort of the "hunk" linked to Caitlin's original character. Then in DJH, Wheels became such a troubled character, and with those glasses he had this "bring a shotgun to school" vibe about him not unlike Rick of TNG.

Yeah, being from Toronto, it's pretty big news here. Wheels was almost like a tragiheroine type of character for Degrassi, but a male character obviously. It's really sad he seemed to have a lot of demons for a lot of his own life. The next time I run into "Joey Jeremiah", as he lives in the same town as I do, I'll be sure to give him my condolences.

I assume it must be still doing well in Canada. Nickelodeon should probably just get rid of Teennick because Degrassi is all they seem to have going for them outside of their All That 90s block. They picked up some Australian show "SLIDE" which only lasted one season with 10 episodes. As long as they have that station they will probably keep Degrassi as long as it's still in production. They're about to end three shows on Nickelodeon and they cannot show Sponge Bob all day.

Yeah, I haven't liked the long seasons, either. Honestly, they should have just expanded the show to 60-minute episodes instead of doing the telenovela thing in the summer. Switch hour-long episodes and do regular Sept-May seasons.

12 does look pretty interesting with Eli as an aspiring writer, Adam's romance with the Christian girl, and the new gay guy Tristan. Not crazy about Eli and Clare getting back together, as I hate Clare's granny guts and thought they were annoying together.

    • That is one of the best insults I've heard in a long time.  I burst out laughing when Kat called Eva that.  LOL Their scenes, of course, were really good.  Colby and Ambyr have so much chemistry.  The only thing I'd change is Kat saying "you're dead to me."  That's a phrase usually said about someone you care about.  I would've preferred something like "You will never be my sister," or something similar to that.  Nice contrast at the end with both mothers/daughters:  Kat comforting/consoling her mother, and Eva being locked out by her mother.  Yeah, I wasn't a big of fan of the singing either, especially after your daughter's life has been destroyed.  What?  LOL
    • Trisha Mann-Grant, Ambyr Michelle, Sean Freeman are destined for bigger and better things. They need to move on as soon as their initial contracts are done.
    • Daphnée Duplaix and Trisha Mann-Grant on Instagram live, 5/5/2025 just concluded, saved here https://www.instagram.com/p/DJSsYb7PDv8/
    • I really need to see Anita in a scene that isn't with a family member. In fact, I would have preferred that she would have gotten rid of the mob and had a one on one with Leslie to lay down the law with her.  I'm going to say it, Mike Manning has been completely lifeless on this show. Other than people's superficial fondness for him, I don't get what they see in him as an actor. I never saw him on DAYS though. The show had another really strange cut right before the opening credits where it looked like they almost cut off Nicole mid-sentence.  Kat/Eva are carrying this show on their backs. Lock them in for lifetime contracts, I beg.
    • There's a 1980 scene of Victor and Katherine in the Chancellor Estate living room where they went over a contract that would put Victor in charge of Chancellor Industries, but it was rewritten that Katherine brought Victor to Genoa City so he could run Chancellor Industries.
    • Put me in the minority in being happy about Cat not being Abby. After the two adult recasts played tag with the role, it's time for a few years of rest. I have a huge list of things I hate about RC's writing, but that choice was not one of them.
    • Except she never worked there at all and barely even knew where the Chancellor Industries plant was located  In 1980, Kay attempted to install Derek Thurston (her third husband) in a position at Chancellor Industries.  The show introduced a character named George Packard who'd supposedly been running Chancellor since Phillip's demise in 1975.  (George Packard's storyline in 1980 was attempting to keep Derek Thurston from bankrupting the company.)   We didn't hear much of anything about Chancellor Industries for the next twenty-five years.  Then, at that point, we met Eliot Hampton (?) who'd been running the company for decades and had been embezzling from it.  Jill took it upon her herself to oust Eliot Hampton (?) and take control of the company.  That's when Kay became actively involved in the management of the company.  From 1974 till 2004 Kay Chancellor was strictly a hands-off owner.  It was downright absurd that the last ten years of life, she was written as this formidable businesswoman who'd always been involved in Chancellor Industries.
    • Well, it's going to be something when he finds out the truth.  Agreed.  On that note, I can't until it all comes out. I find Lulu to be ridiculous.
    • I almost posted this because that was my initial reaction too:  this is weird/cringe, to sing around a piano after such a huge family shattering bomb was dropped.  But I got over that and just enjoyed her voice, the song and the montage we saw as everyone's emotions in the aftermath were pouring out.
    • The Equalizer original series was not a big hit yet it became a movie franchise and got a reboot series. The Equalizer reboot lasted 5 seasons, so one season longer than the original series.
