RHOP

I know, I know. I've gotten way behind...okay...not too much on RHOP vs RHOM (still need to finish the reunion)/SLC (they are already midseason and I'm back on Episode...3?/OC (don't get me started). lol. But I have wiggle room, and I wanted to do something other than either life stuff, writing stuff, and being idle so here goes.

I loved the first trip of the season. And that's where I'm starting from with this. It was a really good trip. It consistently started with light fun, crazy mess, fun shade, and left me thinking of how this group will jell moving forward into the season. And they were GIVING.

Even the buzzkills. Yes, I said it. Jassi...who I like...was being too performative and killing the vibe. Keiarna was also being annoying, but I can't say she wasn't working...and I will praise the fact that knowing she was losing in her attempted attack on Gizelle, she performed a pivot onto Wendy (who was on READY). Well-played on her part. Then you have Angel with her drama from 10 years ago and getting in her feels even though the very people who had been picking on her for EPISODES actually had her back in that moment of finding out like a real sisterhood and she REFUSED THE SUPPORT??? It's a shock that the trip turned out as well as it did.

GIZELLE. I feel like it's going to be another good season for her. She has been on point with her rivalry with Stacey, staying on her neck (and Stacey is staying on hers, too) while giving shady good Confessionals. Meanwhile, her vs Keiarna was unexpected, but I loved how she handled her. Usually, it's other people handling her, so a nice change of pace. How she trumped her was masterfully cuz who is going to get one over on someone whom parent died. Especially vs a brawl? NOPE. And of course, Gizelle being messy by bringing up what Keiarna said about Wendy with Wendy in front of them was to be expected. Stay messy.

WENDY. And speaking of messy...YEP. Her telling off on Keiarna about what she said about Gizelle was just that. And I loved she was on ready when Keiarna thought she was going to come for her. NOPE...lol. Meanwhile, I agree with Wendy in regards to Angel. While I don't like how Gizelle and she have been hazing Angel, Angel does need to have thick skin in this group. Look at how Tia and Stacey are being. Just saying.

ASHLEY. And not to be out of the mess (Producer Cam, anyone?), there was Ashley being messy with her trying to get that Stacey/Chris Samuels stuff out there by talking to Stacey. As a good counterpoint, I do love that she's still with Josh.

STACEY. Still winning. Still rising. And I hollered at her costume for the bachelorette party.  And she is matching Gizelle lick for lick in their rivalry from shady moments to shady Confessionals.

KEIARNA. I found her good this episode. She's been making so many mistakes her second season. BUT I do find myself entertained. And she is moving so much better than her friend is. I gotta give credit for seeing that she was failing in attacking Gizelle (which outside of Stacey NO ONE is doing), she did a Housewife pivot. Did it fail? Yep. But...she tried. And speaking of friends, I liked she was actually there for Angel's breakdown like a real friend.

TIA. Doing everything right as a newbie Housewife. And her vs Jassi was hilarious. She got Jassi without breaking a sweat. And then she was Cynthia-Lite, being a peacemaker between feuding Housewives. And...she has a good sense of humor. WINNING.

ANGEL. As a counterpoint...doing everything wrong as a newbie Housewife. There was a moment for her to be vulnerable and be allowed into the circle truly with her talking about the tea Jassi had and her issues from a decade ago...and she closed all the way off. While I understand completely...those women have been hazing her for episodes now...this could have been a good turning point so they would leave her alone. I felt it was a wrong move.

Later on...I'll talk about the Monique episode. :)

LMAO this is some Disney Channel acting technique from both of them.

I agree. The NEXT WEEK BTG promo gave more than that clip.

And I admit that I am shocked at how stiff Gizelle is.

POTOMAC

Another banger of an episode all thanks to Stacey and Wendy.

Firstly, the telephone call that Charisse clearly thought was going to be a hot moment and then...was nothing. Like everything Charisse touches, it turns to forgettable sand.

K and Angel are flops.

Ashley is bitter and as fake as the wig upon which she placed that unfortunate hat in her VT.

I think Jassi could do well next season once her bridezilla moment has faded. I liked her scenes this episode and her husband was likeable, cooking away.

It's really a shame that Wendy is having such a great season while the insurance fraud charges are pending. There was her mother prancing on her back deck talking about living off of Wendy's money, flaunting her Christian Dior bag, while Wendy's home gets renovated...all while the DMV police are figuring out what Pam Oliver and Eddy Hennessy were up to...

Monique has really evolved. She was so calm while some of the women were trying to kick up a mess with Stacey. Even in the After Show she told Ashley she was wrong about 'screenshots' being used. She pointedly said that Stacey showed her all the text messages and that she'd been able to scroll, so they were obviously not screenshots.

Gizelle feels a little bit outside the group this season, which I think will work to her advantage come reunion time and when she's finally back in touch with Karen.

What an episode agree with lots of this.

The way Stacey handled K with ease and just kept making her look more and more deranged. The way the ladies thought they caught Stacey but Chris actually didn’t know what they were talking about. To which they still won’t accept. It’s actually annoying watching these women decide on a narrative and just be obnoxiously off base but not care.

Wendy handled Angel like the flop she is. They all tell this dummy said the catfish comment but she wants problems with Wendy for ,..reasons.

They are so determined to make Monique hate Stacey and she’s so healed and evolved now, and not following their script. She even proved Ashley wrong on the after show.

Wendy tore that a$$ up. I hollered.

Lest we forget, Bravo was Robyn's one paycheck, and she still decided to play her bosses for fools by pushing a fake remarriage SL while keeping Juan's affair for her Patreon. Cheered on by her bestie Gizelle. Hope it was worth it! At some point, Robyn has to take accountability for her actions in precipitating her departure from the show.

Oh, so she did admit he had an affair? I didn't even know that. Or maybe I knew but quickly forgot.

I’m so happy the Internet is tearing K up. Cause tell Me why she’s so upset on Monique’s behalf when Monique doesn’t care and doesn’t even know Keirna. This ho has been acting deranged with Stacey, the only reason I’d keep her at this point is to see her brother.

She implied that if you paid for her Patreon, she'd reveal all the deets behind a paywall. Someone did pay and apparently confirmed that there had been infidelity on Juan's part, which Robyn didn't really care about.

Then Robyn had to do that cringe WWHL one-on-one with Andy where she acted smug and unserious. She stayed on RHOP another season, but I believe the die was cast by that awful WWHL interview.

I would agree that since she left, RHOP has not missed a beat. I thought Candiace's absence would also have an impact, but I haven't missed her grumpiness either. But at least I understand Candiace's reason's for being grumpy. Robyn's current attitude towards production, when they gave her chance after chance to propagate her SL, is mystifying to me. She bit the hand that fed her.

Agreed on both counts. Just watching this past Sunday's show, it's clear there's still much to mine in Potomac without those two sticking around.

Another +1 to that brother ;) In fact, replace K with K's mother and she can kick it with contemporaries, Gizelle and Karen.

K was doing WAY too much yet again, going up against Stacey who continues to stay unbothered. K and Angel are in their own stank-faced corner, while the rest can kiki together. They really should've upgraded Jassi instead, who clicks with the group so much better.

LOL at Charriisse getting a ticket to the next cast trip. Okay fine, lol, at this point it's entertaining because Bravo will never give her back her flute for her gassy champagne room-for-one.

Monique's newfound zen continues to impress. A welcome return.

All that money Wendy is spending on that home remodel... tsk, tsk. About as good a look as Teresa Guidice paying with cash for thousands of dollars worth of furniture onscreen.

Apparently Todd was stepping out on Kandi and whatever arrangement they had in their marriage. Crazy to step out on your meal ticket.

I had already planned to skip and this just reinforces my lack of interest in returning.
