to be fair those are Martina's views, not Julia and she's doubled down on that so theres not much that Andy can really do to come at her bc she's taken a stance against it. Gretchen is already just a friend of so it'll be easier to discard her  even before this came out. Her return was a flop. Id this point for next season Id rather she, Emily and Shannon be fired and Id take Alexis back over them

And those people are deluded. Garcelle gave more personal content in her years on the show than Rinna, Erotika, Dorit, Teddi, and Kyle combined. And Dorit and Kyle only had to start sharing the past 2 years b/c they couldn't hide it any longer. It boggles my mind how these ladies let Erotika get off so easily. My foot would've remained planted firm on her criminal azz neck.

Those people online are quite often 'Rinna fans,' and given Rinna's fingerprints were all over the hate-bots attacking Jax mess, I'm side-eyeing this sudden surge in Garcelle haters claiming she was 'boring,' 'brought nothing to the show,' 'the friendship with Sutton was fake,' etc. I loved Garcelle from the get, she brought something grounded and honest to this highly self-produced show. As she pointed out many times, there are deals done between the Coven about what to talk about and distract the audience with in order to hide dirty secrets. Garcelle was often asking the questions on the show that Andy Cohen was tiptoeing away from. The fact that the main cast never really accepted her, she could feel it, and as a viewer I felt it, too. Erika's hatred for Garcelle was especially visceral and I'm not surprised with what Garcelle said about her this week. It is a fact: Erika was a b!tch to her face.

Garcelle looked absolutely gorgeous on WWHL and the sad, haunted look in her eyes has gone. She seems reconciled with life and much happier with where it is going. I felt a pang when she talked about the now-dead friendship with Sutton, but only because Garcelle was acknowledging the hurt and emotional sacrifice she made being on the show. One thing I didn't expect was how Andy hung onto her every word, it's actually quite rare to see him treat a HW with lowkey reverence.

And as everyone here has pointed out, Sutton was a fool to choose these vapid witches over her truest friend. She will pay the price for that this season, no doubt about it. And so will Boz when she is no longer of use.

No one was doing it like Garcelle was doing it. And it was refreshing. Also her being a fan favorite in two years' time and upstaging Kyle's own ghost producing without breaking a sweat should be studied.

Same for me. It was really her coming on that kept me watching. At least for a little while longer after LVP was gone. Another reason for her becoming a fan fave, she was asking the questions that the viewers wanted to know and Andy wanted to ignore. And yes, EricFake was a bitca to her which is why I Ooooo shaded right along with Dorit when Garcelle gathered her when she said she didn't have to make EricFake look bad because EricFake does that all on her own. That comment HIT.

Very. Their friendship was the best thing about the show. I cannot believe she threw it under the bus for those girls that are so jealous of her.

3 for 3. And the word of the day was chin-check.

 

The episode was wild. What started so small...ChinCheckGate snowballed into a free-for-all. And this was all leading up to the Darby, too...an event I don't think they have shown since the early RHOP seasons. I just know there is going to be some mess.

 

Who knew that a Gizelle/Wendy team-up was what I really needed. What really started at the reunion last season has continued to grow and it's kinda giving low-key RHOA S6 when the producers were bringing around new girls and the RHOA ladies would be hazing and shading them as a team every episode. One thing that has never worked out really well on HW shows has been when two real friends come onto a show. And that appears to be the case with Keiarna and Angel. And Gizelle and Wendy (with some help from Ashley and Tia) are seeing cracks in that friendship and lord are they using it. I feel Keiarna and Angel are giving as good as they get, but ChinCheckGate really is telling a lot about their friendship.

 

Meanwhile, Stacey continues to rise. lol. I really feel she's continuing to use that Kenya Moore playbook. Just look at the gay sidekick a la Brandon in Kenya's early season. She has a minion in Jassi (hey, Jassi, hey!) And then she got the tea on what Gizelle has going on. Oooo at her already planning for a Gizelle takedown. Ambitious unlike the other newbies. And this was going on while everyone is still coming for her though mostly this time it was Keiarna and she got her good in the end. 

 

I also liked that while all of this was going on, there were still some good individual moments and side stories going on. Getting to know Angel a little bit more. The same for Tia with her family. And that Wendy/Keiarna one on one with the fourth wall breaking. It was a good feast.

 

GIZELLE. Because I can't say it enough...that Gizelle/Wendy tag-team...just wow! Now THIS...was running the girls. And they co-lead well. That said...I am feeling like she is slowly slipping back into this mix of old and new Gizelle. Still fun, but it worries me that she will get nasty real quick. But that could just be me. I giggled at Tia shading her fashion like a real friend. She's riding high...which makes the incoming bomb Stacey has for her that much more intriguing. 

 

WENDY. Wendy, Wendy, Wendy. I'm having mixed feelings for her, too. Yes, I love her combo with Gizelle. But then we have moments like her and Keiarna that was giving very much show friends vs real friends which was telling. Cuz you ladies are hosting an event for the same thing. You can't combine that AND mend the friendship? Then you get Wendy throwing Angel under the bus in front of Keiarna, kinda proving that point. But then Wendy gathered Angel easily when Angel tried (and continued to try) to get her lick back. Then we still have the incoming fraud mess. Well...I'm entertained.

 

ASHLEY. She had her little moment at Keiarna's brunch. But otherwise, she ain't the one to pick on anyone for picking on Keiarna's scar when she did it herself last season. 

 

KEIARNA. Guuuuuurllll!!! lol. She is doing too much. That said...she WAS giving moments. I liked that she and Wendy had a one on one. And that she explained herself a little better. It sounded like a lot of stuff going on off-screen. But it is a trope we have seen often on HW shows...are you my real friend...or a REEL friend? Sorry that Keiarna got her feelings hurt, but she will just have to adjust if she's staying on. She had a nice pivot by having the Darby brunch and getting Greg to film showing off her family. And her brunch was crazy with Gizelle/Wendy poking holes in her friendship with Angel. Then all of that mess only for her to actually chin-check Angel in front of everyone. And then that led to Angel vs Wendy. Just...mess. I loved it. lol. And of course she was still getting into it with Stacey in the van. And Stacey bested her good. She was all over the place, but I can't say that I wasn't entertained.

 

ANGEL. smh. Well, I still like her. But she's too green for these confrontations. She will learn in time. At least learn to NOT trust Gizelle. lol. We saw her family where I liked what she said about the other side as I am a spiritual person as well and do feel they are all around us. That said...le sigh at the Darby brunch and her being hazed and embarrassed by everyone. I knew she was hurt when she tried to get her lick back on Wendy. And that still carried on in the van with Wendy who was handling her with ease. Poor showing this episode, but still like her.

 

TIA. Her family was...A LOT. And I giggled at her chin-checking Gizelle over fashion when she doesn't even know what a chin-check is. lol. She had a little moment at the Darby brunch, too. I feel she's adjusting nicely and better than Angel I'm afraid.

 

STACEY. And still...she rises. hehe. Gay sidekick? CHECK. Delightful minion to dish the tea with? CHECK. A cast member to feud with (or two? three?) that has legs? CHECK. Juicy storyline? CHECK. Have the cast against her, but still shining? CHECK. Still doing too much? CHECK, CHECK! Sophomore slump...WHHHHERE? And the fact she's about to come for Gizelle? Biiiig ambitions!!! She did not do too much, but she found her moments and they were good. 

 

Another great episode. Onward to tonight...

4 for 4. BUT. That's kinda how I felt about the episode. Was it great? Oh, yes. And it probably is worthy of a rewatch. And they are on their first trip. And I felt there was so much fun...not only on the start of the trip to Navis, but at the Darby as well. Not even just fun, but fun shade, too. And a fun moment in the Gizelle vs Stacey rivalry with what Gizelle did with Stacey's room.  

 

HOWEVER. I really did not like how Mean Girls-ish Gizelle and Wendy were being to the new girls. ESPECIALLY Wendy. While both of the new girls (and Keiarna) were hazed (And Tia gathered Ashley flawlessly while I felt Jassi vs Keiarna was a mini-feud for the books cuz that Beyonce dig...hehe), it really felt downright cruel with how they were targeting Angel throughout the episode. It really threatened the overall good fun vibe going on on this cast trip/birthday trip/wedding shower trip. 

 

Thank God for Stacey. Stacey with her little bomb. Which of course goes back to how light fun Gizelle vs Stacey continue to be. Gizelle was doing the most with Stacey on this trip. But I was waiting for Stacey to drop that bomb on who Gizelle was dating. And I liked how she strung Gizelle along throughout the episode before she dropped it. And you could tell...Gizelle was a little bit pressed memories of the binder with Monique in her head. I was so annoyed that Ashley came to her rescue with the Chris Samuel tea. 

 

I was even more annoyed at a TO BE CONTINUED. But...a sign of a good episode.

 

GIZELLE. When Gizelle is 'good,' she's very, VERY good. And I am surprised that Production she did such a good job with the trip so far in terms of dinner, rooms, gifts, etc. Light with very little silly shade. All fun shade because that stuff with Stacey was funny. But everything with her and Stacey was interesting to watch because Stacey had that ace. Then you had the tag-team of Gizelle/Wendy continuing on this episode. There were times they were fun when they were stirring the pot. But there were times when they were...well...mean girls like when they kept picking on Angel for those BEFORE/AFTER pictures and not letting up. And I'm sorry, I love Jassi so I love Gizelle bringing Jassi and not Cha Cha on the trip and her and Wendy stirring the pot between her and Keiarna. She was keeping everyone on their toes. And if she was not, Wendy was. They really tag-teamed well...to a fault. Cuz the look on her and Wendy's face at the same time when they saw Stacey trying to get to know and befriend Angel was quite telling at the dinner at the end. 

 

WENDY. I hate to say it...because she was looking FOINE at the Darby...but I felt Wendy crossed a line with me this episode. And I know she's a non-entity here and has been, but at least I liked her. Now...on one hand, it IS entertaining, and we still have the fallout from her fraud drama coming so I'm invested in a 'karma is coming' way. On the other hand, she was getting pretty vicious about Angel. Like Gizelle 2.0 if I'm being honest. I was shocked that she was bringing up Angel probably not graduating. She felt a way about Angel not reading it was illegal to bring camouflage to Navis. And every chance she could she poked Angel. And then at the dinner...her matching look with Gizelle....her being extremely condescending to Angel's face...her being a hypocrite because she can't be mad that Angel wanted her lick back when Wendy was literally doing the very same thing this episode. Hopefully, Angel get the Drew Sidora crash course in how to shade back like Drew did to Sheree on their first RHOA season together because so far this has started to feel like kicking a puppy when they are already hurt. And it's also a bad look for Wendy. 

 

ASHLEY. Not her getting a date in five minutes!!!! And all while her and Josh are still casually dating, too. Lord...lol. That said, she wasn't boring this episode. Her vs Tia was a highlight. Of course, Tia ate her alive, but still...lol. And I'm not here for her being Gizelle's lapdog, saving Gizelle when Stacey played that ace of hers.

 

KEIARNA. And speaking of feuds and rivalries, I really enjoyed her vs Jassi. Keiarna might feel some kind of way, but I felt Jassi succeeded in being a fan fave FOH last season. And unlike Jacqueline, Jassi comes across like a fun FOH who has a mind of her own. And with her own subplot of a wedding to her guy. Heck, she got a Confessional, too. I guess I can see why Keiarna felt threatened. That and Jassi apparently has that tea on Keiarna vs Wendy and isn't afraid to be messy. So I enjoyed Round 1 at the Darby. And I was living for Round 2 on the boat on the trip...which Gizelle got popping by revealing it was Keiarna who wasn't wanting Jassi on the trip. Jassi is keeping her on her toes. I ain't mad. 

 

ANGEL. Poor girl. That was how I felt watching her this episode. Gizelle and Wendy were really staying on her neck. And even though her and Keiarna were sticking together thick as thieves, it should be noted that for most of Angel's hazing...Keiarna did...NOTHING. And then the drama with the camouflage...smh. So I'm sure that Angel was happy when Stacey was trying to get to know her at dinner. TBF, she should admit though if she used filters. But again...they did not need to harp on it like they were. Thank God, Stacey stepped in to drop the Gizelle dating bomb.

 

TIA. GATHER ASHLEY AGAIN, TIA!!!! DO IT FOR ME!!!! I enjoyed her vs Ashley oh so much. And I enjoyed that she helped Angel with the camouflage issue. And I was loving her tongue-in-cheek about balls. And I liked to hear that her and Angel seem to hang out off-screen, too. She did a great job with her hazing so far.

 

STACEY. And still she rises. lol. Again, Stacey was in the background throughout the episode. Patiently waiting for just the right moment to hit Gizelle where it hurts. And how she was stringing it along was how you do it. Meanwhile, I liked that she gave as good as she got in her rivalry with Gizelle. Gizelle's joke did not phase her at all. But Stacey with her bomb? Yeeeah bullseye! lol. And as I mentioned, I liked she was trying to get to know Angel. I also noticed that her and Wendy seem to be pretty close at several times throughout the episode.

 

Another great episode. And...Monique is COMING.

Ugh, why am I so behind on RHs? I've finished Miami (I'm going to miss those girls), but I'm about 3 episodes behind on London, 2 behind on Potomac, 2 behind on SLC, and about 25 episodes behind on OC. Catching up as fast as I can, but I also want to savour them.

Gizelle is a BITCH! I thought she did a good job of redeeming herself last season but she's thrown all that good will away. She's a miserable, hateful OLD azz mean girl at her big age. I wish someone would chin check her. I dont get why they are so scared to come for her when this is largely a cast of newbies. They should all rally against her bc she only has power bc they let her have it. Unfortunately Stacey is the only one wiling to go at her and that alone makes her a better castmate than the rest

RHOC reunion looks!

The fact that the OC women tend to conform in all things fashion is actually one of the unique things about this franchise. The only 'standout,' if I can put it like that, is Shannon, an 80-year-old dressed as Shirley Temple.

IMO, Emily, Tamra and Katie look great. 20 years in, and Gretchen continues to SWF Tamra's look.

Gina's dress is phenomenal TBH.
