Monica's mother is by far the most vile toxic mother across the entire franchise. Just wow. I thought Monica may have been exagerating a bit but that demon is a piece of work. Their dinner was so uncomfortable to watch. I hope she makes enough this season to become financially indepedent and not have to rely on her mother's credit and sustained emotional abuse

I cant stand Whitney and want to choke her at times so I was laughing when Mary said she is gonna make someone want to backhand her. Mary had her number and wasnt here for the gaslighting. Others may play into Whitney's game but you cant fool Mary and Im glad she left and didnt give her a moment to play in her face.

Whitney is STILL lying about Meredith spreading rumors about Angie. I need to see her get dragged at the reunion

Lisa is so damn self absoorbed and makes everything about her. Im sure that Jack is leaving partly to get away from her

Miami premiere tonight. I am only here for any Larsa/Marcus drama.

Marcus Jordan Wants Dad Michael as His Best Man at Larsa Pippen Wedding (usmagazine.com)

AFAIK an engagement hasn't been confirmed. If there is a marriage, get ready for Larsa Pippen Jordan. She's so going to be using both last names.

I'm not going to lie. I'm getting so nervous. lol.

The premiere is tonight and I'm on Episode 14...and have a reunion to go. Yay!!! For me!!!

I love my HW telenovela show!!!! And so much has been going on as I've been binging. The whole mess of Lisa's marriage falling apart and watching it unfold (and still unfolding given what I posted a few pages back) has been real AND chilling. On wow at him going to the press first with that girl. But him telling Lisa something else. And THEN he had the audacity to want to have Lisa go shopping for him. And then he took the trainer...and he's trying to take the house. And how the kids are being affected and Lenny DOESN'T CARE??? Ugh. I respect Lisa for putting it all out there.

Then there is the fall of Alexia. WOW!!! You all mentioned it and I've seen clips, but watching it has been eye opening. Her vs Juila about her comments. Her getting like a dog with a bone with Adriana's man...and then it turned out that he not only OWNED her...but that whole mess was because she did not go down her phone screen completely....GUUUURLLL!!! And then her rivalry with Nicole...oooooh the AmEx scene with little violin was EVERYTHING!!! That dinner scene was easily one of my favorite scenes of the season due to everyone confronting her basis on her attitude. And Alexia....COULD...NOT...DEAL. And just when you thought it was over...Alexia's life hits again with the appearance of the Cocaine Cowboy himself...HER EX-HUSBAND. I knew it was coming and STILL fell out. smh. I have made it to the start of the cast trip so I admit I liked that Adriana was finally able to talk to Alexia woman to woman to try to clear the air between them. And sadly it was ruined by Marysol...proving Adriana's point.

Outside of that, I love that so many individual stories to take in around all the mess. And I feel invested. Julia trying to find time to love with Martina and still do how her heart feels by dealing with her being an empty nester felt real. And I'm happy that she is trying adoption. Guerdy's foine husband talking to her about work/life balance, something that as a single black man post-spiritual breakup (don't ask), has been on my mind as of late. And I love watching trying to navigate that. Adriana is always going to be fun messy for me so her shade is fun to watch cuz 'we are 50 and old and our vision do be going' took me out at the dinner. #doublehomicide Then we have Larsa and Nicole (especially Dr. Nicole) showing off how rich they are. Nicole's dad drama still be popping up...though he was a hoot at her engagement party with Marysol.

So fingers crossed I finished this cast trip.

That said...

ALEXIA. The fall from grace was real. Dr. Nicole clowned her every which way but loose. AND showed class by even apologizing for doing NOTHING. And her and Todd double-teaming Dr. Nicole and Anthony was such a bad look. Season 4 definitely went to her head and shows. And just when I want to write her off, I was reminded of her potential as the telenovela queen by the appearance of her ex-husband. Just ooooo...stuff staying happening to her. And you want to see what happens next. That said...I can see why Adriana would think that Alexia/Marysol are bad influences on each other...and that plays into the whole group history which I love.

LARSA. Has stayed working for that mojoto. She pot stirred that whole drama with that rumor (and no receipts) that led to Nicole vs Alexia/Marysol at the lawyer party.

GUERDY. And THAT is what a relationship looks like. Honest communication. I loved every minute of it, too. And then watching Guerdy work on it while still being herself.

JULIA. Speaking of awwww, I continue to like watching her relationship with Martina as well. And seeing her struggle with the empty nest and now adoption. And I loved that she went to Guerdy about the news. Real female friendship.

LISA. Just wow. I still feel that she deluded herself into thinking she and Lenny would work it out so it is hitting harder. But she put her from the wringer. And the drama with her kids. Her son not knowing how to feel. And her daughter slapping her. Oooooo...real stuff. I was just as shocked as she was. And yes, my mom would have put me in the corner AND a spanking.

NICOLE. lol. So like last season. She started off so slow burn...and then WAS the drama. And this set of episodes...WOW. She took on all those OGS and WON!!! And the Black AmEx. The little violin. The checking of Larsa. They were pressssssssed. I think I love me some Dr. Nicole. But I've loved her since she arrived at the party on a boat. And she still brings drama through her family.

MARYSOL. From making a good comeback, like her BFF, she really has gotten tired, too.

ADRIANA. Queen. And yes, she's extra, but she's always been extra. lol. I don't care. At least for all the extra-ness, there are moments where her human side comes out. I can't say that for some of the others.

But...let's march on to the finale now...

Hehe. Welcome.

That was a pretty great finale.

But this whole season has been worth the wait for me. They get along. They fight. They get over it...usually. And through it all, they do act like a group of REAL friends.

And that cast trip...HELL TO THE NO on that gang-up on Adriana. Like Nicole, I could see both sides of that. Adriana never should have used Frankie as an example though she was not trying to be malicious with her saying it. Just her doing a foot in mouth. If anything, I thought the fact that Marysol was (and continued) to run with that to get Adriana booted was telling. Not to mention high-school-ish. On the other hand, Adriana's feelings are valid. Marysol/Alexia get together and act like mean girls, invalidating any closeness the other girls they get close to bring. And with Lisa busy with her Lenny drama, Adriana is odd woman out. And she was feeling lonely...moreso knowing that tea she dropped about her personal life aka ailmony. And they just ignore her cuz ADRIANA. As if they ALL are overdramatic in Las Cubas. Adriana did not help her case though with the toe drama.

So the finale was about the icing out of Adriana...proving how important she is btw...and about Lisa's drama. And ooooh at her MiL turning her back on her. Sad to see since it took years to get those two on the same page. And now Lisa lost an ally. And the fact her and Lenny were still fighting in the closing scene of the finale. smh.

Which was another thing I loved about the finale. Most HW shows do catch up on all the storylines from the season. However, production can be dicey on story flow so viewers forget about some stories that get dropped midseason or ends quickly. I liked that I felt all the storylines brought up was something that carried throughout all (or the majority) of the season. It just felt...coherent...if it makes sense. Like an actual telenovela which has a beginning, middle, AND an end.

That said...Marysol is DEAD to me and I will drag her skinny butt like I do Teddi Terri cuz she was disgusting. And I kept getting the sense that Alexia would have already gotten over it if it was not for her.

PS. Loved how up to the minute the closing notes were. Because I feel we were just finding out about Marcus Jordan, Martina and the cancer, the restraining order against Lisa dropped, etc. post filming. Props to the Production being on point.

Off to the reunion...

BH

This has got to be one of the worse 2nd episodes to any season. This was BORING! Im guessing the early rumblings about the season were right. That PK/Dorito segment should have been 1 segment but they dragged it out for like a half hour. No one cares!

Crystal's brother and he getting a confessional....no one cares!  I dont even know what was up with Erica. Garcelle and Sutton's scene was the only thing that interested me. I wasnt here for Kyle playing in our faces with her manufactured drama. This season is gonna be a slog to get through. Id give this episode a 4.

Miami

Not gonna lie but i felt it started off slow but it did redeem itself by the end. Im guessing they did that to reintroduce the ladies bc it did moe networks but I thought the first couple of segments were boring. It started picking up though. Julia came to work! She was like Im gonna earn that Bravo check as she CHECKED Marysol. So unexpected but that had me dying. I like how the end was edited with th audience reveal of Guerdy's illness. Its gonna be heartbreaking yet good tv when she tells the ladies. Overall this was much better than BH. I'd give the episode a 7. So far, SLC is still that girl

This was the weirdest and dullest BH episode I've ever seen, and that's saying something because I sat through all of Season 8.

They need to rename RHOBH The Boris & Natasha Show. I don't think I've ever seen so much of Dorit in one episode. Look, I'm glad she came activated and energized this season, but nobody needed to see her and PK cosplaying Pretty Woman. Who asked for PK sausaged into his casino tux? Richard Gere he ain't. Some random caterwauling Take My Breath Away (wrong movie BTW)? WTF am I watching here? This is exactly why production called up Kim and Denise, and told Kyle to ramp up the escándalo.

Speaking of the scripted, post-filmed nonsense that is Kyle & Mauricio -- the only thing I can recall about this segment was how much Mo is going to look like his father in 5 years. And how much one of Kyle's daughters is going to look like Mo's mother in 45 years.

Crystal's brother something-something looking to get married. This is Crystal's story this year. OK.

Erika is clearly banking on the show being so dull that Bravo comes begging for Lisa Rinna to return. So far her strategy is working.

I'm not sure I'm ready for next week and Sutton walking out of the Magic Mike show in outrage.

I agree with both of you. What a boring episode.

It only serves to reinforce to me that Kyle and Mauricio's 'marriage trouble' is scripted AF and is being done in post to try and salvage this season.

It also explains the late in season drafting in of Denise and Camille.

Crystal should not have returned. If a storyline has to involve another party it's an automatic fail.

Rinna, however, is not the answer. She drove the show into the ground as a toxic mess.

They need a return of LVP.

Agreed. Rinna's strength was in being a sh-t stirrer and manipulating the group dynamics. Well this episode was focused heavily on individual stories and Rinn's family life was boring. I do not need to see her with Harry Hamlin or her bratty daughters. She wouldnt have been any more interesting than Dorito or kyle

    • Errol already confirmed she is back at Y&R and in a non-producing role; this alludes to she is not credited for the role she has.
    • I don't think Lisa served a purpose after the serial killer storyline. The writers never gave her anything to do but be Vicky's nemesis. Joanna Going deserved better. Another example of a character taking over the show and then the writers not having a longterm plan for the character.  Exhibit B: Sally Spencer. Such a missed opportunity. It really angers me how they misused her. She could sing and act and they just threw her away in that sexist nonsense storyline. Once the story was over, they wrote her off. The McKinnons should have lasted for years. I will give the show credit for how they introduced Sandra Ferguson as Amanda. I thought it was expertly done. She comes in and she immediately connected to RKK's Sam. She has chemistry with Matthew and she has realistic conversations with MAc and Rachel. That's how it is done.
    • Great points, and it has not completely vanished. Leslie on Beyond the Gates fits the trope (she's still not over that Ted lovin' two decades later), though I will say there does seem to be an effort to make her more complex.
    • I understand why people speculate, but I have to say it doesn’t sound very plausible that Jill Farren Phelps would be working at Y&R in any uncredited role. CBS daytime shows are tightly bound by union contracts and corporate oversight, and that kind of informal arrangement would be a major liability in 2025. Before the mergers of SAG-AFTRA and the two WGA branches, it may have been easier to hire someone quietly or off the books. But those days are behind us. With digital payroll, tighter pension tracking, and increased scrutiny from legal and compliance departments, it’s just not the kind of thing anyone can get away with anymore. Most union members, especially producers nearing retirement, would not risk their eligibility or benefits to take an uncredited role. The Producers Guild of America is also very clear about crediting. To even receive the PGA mark, a producer has to be verified through a formal review process. According to their credit certification guidelines (source), "only individuals who performed a majority of the producing functions on a motion picture or television production" are eligible for credit, and those credits must be official and recorded. If someone is functioning in that capacity, they are not supposed to be uncredited. Studios that are union signatories, like CBS and Sony, know better than to skirt those rules. If anyone has a legitimate, primary source confirming that CBS is hiring someone like Phelps in an uncredited production role, I’d honestly be curious to read it. But without that, this just feels like rumor—not reality.
    • I keep thinking about the persistent trend of eroticizing mental illness on Guiding Light. Sonni and Annie were never more compelling, or more attractive to the show, than when they were manic. It played into a recurring theme: strong women undone by their unhinged reaction to sex. The writers were likely inspired by Basic Instinct and the broader wave of neo-noir films in the late '80s and early '90s, where female sexuality was often equated with instability. The result was a crude portrayal, not just of mental illness, but of womanhood itself. Both Sonni and Annie were introduced as sharp, capable women, brought in specifically as formidable antagonists to Reva. They were logical and composed, standing in contrast to Reva’s emotional volatility. That difference made them threatening, but not especially “sexy”—until desire became their undoing. In a very male fantasy, their strength unraveled the moment they slept with Joshua. As soon as they got a taste of Lewis lovin’, they spiraled into scheming lunatics, willing to torch everything to hold on to him. It was part of a larger trend in the culture. Fatal Attraction, Single White Female, and The Hand That Rocks the Cradle all traded on the idea that female desire was dangerous, barely held in check, and always teetering on the edge of madness. Looking back, it's a pretty grim trope. And while it's not completely vanished, I'm grateful we don't see it quite as often today.
    • Elements of it were silly, but it was a small price to pay to get Zas back. I should say there's a difference between in town and out of town returns. It's understandable for Roger to skulk around town in a bad wig and clown suit when he's in Springfield and running the risk of bumping in to people he knows.  Taking us out of town to find someone always has a short shelf life. Then it usually becomes about another character knowing X is alive but determined to keep them out of Springfield. Like Alan discovering Amish Reva. I don't know how long it went on, but it was probably twice as long as necessary.
    • Elizabeth Dennehy complained on the Locher Room about how ridiculous so much of the writing was for Roger's return. She laughed at so much of Roger's antics and how it was hard for her to take them seriously. Probably another reason she was fired as she didn't play the game.
    • Only thing I enjoyed was Abby / Olivia, etc., and the addiction storyline. Otherwise, I could do without the season.
    • Right? Vanessa had a ball gown for every occasion.
    • Roger's return storyline may have been silly but Roger's return was what lead to GL's last golden era.  It was the combination of Roger's return and Robert Calhoun becoming EP that got GL to finally hit it's stride after some really bad years. It will always disappoint me that the ratings during Robert Calhoun's run didn't reflect the quality of the show.
