I hope they are good! I am all for top-tier entertainment. OG RHONY at its best stood out to me because the women could be both whip-smart and insanely clueless at times. But the smartness and knowing quality was always there. And the sense of humor.

So the rumor about RHUGT #5 is that it is basically the OG RHONY cast minus Jill (who was thought to have torpedoed the RHONY Legacy spinoff). So: Luann, Sonja, Dorinda, Kelly Bensimon, possibly Tinsley, possibly Alex, possibly Ramona. The other rumor is that they are going to Scary Island (aka US Virgin Islands). If that is the case, they need to invite Bethenny because, really.

I remember Gizelle and Kal trying to get up Charrisse's Mount Everest steps to her house for some kind of champagne brunch in the S1 finale episode. Kal gave up halfway through. But S2 was so much better, and S3 was a dream. So it just goes to show. Maybe some of these RHONY newbies will surprise us. Maybe they're not all influencers and we will get some compelling stories following these women's work as well as their home lives.

Listen -- and you know how I felt about Bethenny in her later years -- but at least she was truly hustling in a real-world context. Pushing muffins at a Short Hills NJ supermarket. Driving that walking billboard she called a car.

Oh yeah, that girl was a hustler. And despite her icky machinations in her later years on RHONY, I'll never fully hate on her because of the incredible real-life humanitarian efforts she has done for victims of hurricanes, earthquakes, tornadoes, Ukraine, etc.

But yeah @Liberty City that would be amazing if the big B returned for RHUGT 5.  It would be an absolute shi*show of awesomeness.

Looks like her other songwriters didn't tell her what they were listening to when they bashed out Shake the Bottle at 3am over cigarettes and Red Bulls. Jessie Ware should be thrilled! Money Can't Buy You Class was and is a pop culture phenomenon. Also, Jessie looks very Countessy on her album cover.

Lu right now:

Honestly, Jennifer, Marge (yes, Marge) and possibly even Melissa actually look really great. And @Gray Bunny is right, that light lilac is a good color on Dolores.

Fessluh and Fuda's gowns look sloppily made, and I am LMAO that self-appointed wannabe 'fashionista' Jackie looks by far the most basic.

It would be iconic. And you know she wouldn't want to be there, so she wouldn't care what the f**k was happening around her.

Poor Jessie.

This is giving cheap, knock-off Potomac vibes.

Again, poor Jessie. She doesn't deserve this.

Potomac scoop - they're in Austin this week for Karen's 60th birthday (not sure if there is another reason or not).  Last night they went to a gay bar to watch a drag show - all the cameras were there to film.  I ended up going.  Thoughts:

All the ladies were gorgeous and eating up the attention and drag show.  Every split or death drop, they were throwing dollar bills on the queens, dancing and singing and having a great time.  They celebrated Karen's birthday and the drag queens put on a competition, in which Karen, Mia, Ashley, Wendy and the new girl (I didn't catch her name - she has an accent), all participated.  They had to do a runway walk down the stage - top three winners were Karen, Wendy and Ashley.  They did a lip sync dance for the finals and Karen won because it was her birthday, but let me tell you that Wendy should have won - she was so funny and great.

There likely was a fight at dinner beforehand, or during this trip, because you could see some ladies weren't interacting with each other.

Robyn/Gizelle - mostly quiet, especially Robyn, mostly sat in their seats and didn't talk much to the girls, but when the show was on fire, they had their moments of standing up and throwing the bills.

Candiace - loved the fan attention and was standing up dancing/singing throughout, but she sat away from R/G off to the side, near Mia and Wendy.  You could tell she wasn't giving the girls much attention, but she was great with the audience/fans.

Mia/New Girl - stayed mostly to themselves, but had a good time.  Mia wore a cheap cowboy hat.

Wendy - wore blue sunglasses most of the night, which at first seemed standoffish, but towards the end she was having a great time and getting into it.

Karen - living it up and enjoying the drag queens.  She was great, and I did see her and Gizelle speak a few times like friends, so I think they're ok.

Ashley - this one just loves being in a gay club.  She would go off to the bar by herself and interact with people whereas the other girls stayed in their little area and had the staff bring them drinks.  She was fun.

Anyway, can't wait for their next season!

    • I think Krista is too hot or her. I think the current actress works bc she comes across so basic. Thats not a dig but she feels very normal and relatable as an average suburban woman. I think if Krista was in the role, Id want more out of her but I dont think Jan is meant for bigger things

    • The sad thing about SC being a great actor is that his character has never worked. Ever. And yes if I don't know what Liam is about and just focus on acting... I can appreciate him. But as soon as I connect him to Liam... I cringe.  Maybe SC should run till he is still young and find himself a role where he can shine.
    • As I've said before I don't believe the fact that both sisters have cheating husbands (one in the past, one more recently) is a coincidence or anything random. It's pre-thought and pre-planned and the message is clear. Cheaters can be found in all shapes, forms and sizes. Some do it in the most blatant way, they are known serial cheaters and their wives know of their past hook ups (as Dani has already said... she was willing to forgive Bill for his previous mistresses... till Hayley came) and some are more masterfully disguised in the image of the perfect husband. The fact that Dani was jealous of her sister Nicole's happy marriage in the first episodes was not a coincidence. I knew it the first second I heard it. It made me wonder and think what is beneath Nicole and Ted's picture perfect life. The show painted two very different sisters and then gave them the same crisis. It was intentional and dramatically focused on how these women acted after that... How they kept or did not keep their dignity. The contrasts and the similarities are not random. They connected the two stories very well. Telling us that beyond the gates there are secrets... lies and betrayals. And sometimes the happiest ones have the biggest skeletons in their closets. Is all of this a cliche? A soap opera serial cliche? Yes. Does it still work? Yes. And did we need to start with something that is more universal and easier to stomach by the mass audience? Yes. This is only the beginning of the show in terms of stories and themes. We will have years ahead of us to explore different aspects of these people. The first couple of months it had to be a classic sex and betrayal story that makes more people hooked. It's universal. Again. Nothing so far about both husbands being cheaters is coincidental for me. It's too early for that.

    • Yes!!! Mona feels  like one of my aunts, love the way she carries herself. Loved seeing Eva pop-up at the gambling place.  Monday was all around good soap. Can't remember the last time an entire episode held my interest.  Loving the fallout and reverberations from Ted and Shea-Butter Sheila's affair

. Tricia Mann Grant is 90s early 2000s quality FINE. As nice as it would've been to see Anita embrace Eva, I'm glad she didn't because we can squeeze a lot more years of conflict out of Eva, Leslie and the Duprees.   Lauren & Sheila, Viki & Dorian, Katherine & Jill all gave us good conflict for decades. Hopefully this follows suit. I understand the concern. Right now there's an issue of quality of black representation on shows more so than quantity of black shows. I'd like to see more predominantly black sci-fi, legal, political, supernatural or medical dramas over the typical who is sleeping with who. However, this is a soap, and this is what happens on soaps. White soap characters do these things all the time, but have the luxury of being seen as individuals, not representations of their entire race. Husbands/fathers like Todd Manning, Victor Newman and Asa Buchanan cheat, lie and swindle all the time but aren't seen as a commentary on white men. Black characters like Ted and New Dollar Bill should be able to do the same.
    • And that area of the DMV has a high-end glamorous casino the MGM National Harbor.
    • Even under the new writers, Jamey episodes are the shortest and the weakest A lot of people were unnecessarily clowny and bitchy today. There was a lot of fluff and filler too. And the dialogue was a little… ehhh as well. But welcome back, Kevin! It’s been a long time lol his return still seems really random but I don’t mind it. Philip’s actions make sense to me based on everything that’s happened to him lately and it could possibly set up more tension between him and Xander/Alex. And I wouldn’t mind seeing him and Kevin team up. I thought the actor did a good job too. Too bad that they couldn’t get Robert Benvenisti back though. I didn’t realize it in 2001 but he was hot

And, we got the word that Arianna wants to come home. I’m looking forward to that, and seeing her relationships with Gabi, Marlena, etc. on display and I hope that

As for Rachel’s birthday party… was Days hinting at something that we’ve been speculating about since EJ was shot?
