I keep looking at the dress up close on my phone, and I'm still stunned by the flammability of the material. It's giving 'I work at Disney Orlando on the weekend parades.' They sell it at the Disney store, only in little-girl (and not grown-ass Gizelle) sizing. Plus its her fave color. Thank you, Gizelle, for giving me an early Christmas present with this incredible outfit.

This is the RHOA/Potomac crossover I never knew I needed. In fact, on the Potomac front alone, G/M/C would have been the crossing of paths we've been crying for the last few weeks! Again I say, we need Porsha back on RHOA, to bring a little escándalo and glamour (because you know the Guobadias are going to be throwing their money around). And she is single-handedly pulling Monique back towards the Bravo universe (if Porsha is still employed by Bravo...? Suddenly I am having doubts if PEOPLE won the exclusive).

I can't stop thinking about the practicalities of it.  Like did she find the fan, or was it bespoke with the gown?  And how did she go about packing it for the trip?

Not surprising, Porsha seems to have fallen out with production and the network after her spinoff and sending a crew to Nigeria seem expensive.  But, I wonder if Andy sent a gift?

I just saw the second wedding dress (and crown).  The groom's military ensemble is giving don't-ask-how-I-paid-for-this-wedding vibes; even if going from a CPA at Deloitte to owning a petroleum company seems a little suspicious.

Yep...she could have been there, too. No lie. You are going to make me good look for the video on their chat about that.

I didn't post it out of respect for the many people here at dislike her, but Ms. Quad was there, too.

When I see the pictures yesterday, someone did mention in the comments that Simon has multiple businesses so he can easily pay for the wedding. HOWEVER the person also claimed he tried to do business with Simon of out of four of the businesses...one looked HIGHLY suspicious so they did not do it. Red flags.

Time to recast Potomac. The show is getting too heinous for my liking. The best seasons of this show will always be seasons 2-4. Seasons 5-7 seem to be a dark era and I am not here for it at all.

And the gymnastics all these women did tonight was appalling.

One, Candiace's slick comment about hitting people, yet consuming a forest of Kleenex over Monique tugging her skull, boggles me. Then her crying about people needing to use their words as if words don't hold weight either. She's a moron.

Two, Robyn and Gizelle. How they don't see that this is a similar matter to season 5 incident is sad. Just shows how stupid and dense they are. At least Robyn slipped up and came clean that she sided with Mia b/c she hates Wendy.

Lastly, Mia gotta go. She reminds me of Candiace with the "choose a side" crap. Karen has firmly said both women were wrong and she's not bending.

POTOMAC

That was a doozy of appalling behaviour.

Mia is a nightmare of a human being. Granted, she revelled in being having sex with her husband when he was married to someone else...so she's morally bankrupt to start with. But the level of pettiness she displayed was simply disgusting. I am glad she tried it with Ashley who will never be intimidated. And then the last scene where she tries to articulate her position to Karen. She did such a poor job it was laughable as she had to be supported by that lap dog of a friend of hers. I am also glad she tried it with Karen who is an adult and was not about to play that game. Mia is an incredibly stupid woman and I hope she continues to implode.

Robyn's hypocrisy is so unbecoming and I hope she's dragged over the coals on social media and at the reunion. She admitted she hates Wendy and that's the only reason she is supporting Mia. What a dumb bitch.

Gizzelle went to great lengths to appease the producers and be their puppet, encouraging as much drama as she could. However, even she said that Mia's pettiness about Ashley and Candiace was foolish.

Charisse looked like a hippopotamus at the beach. She thinks she is really fabulous when the truth is she is tragic.

Ashley, Candiace, Wendy, and especially Karen won this episode by a country mile.

RHOP:

  • Gizelle is a complete mood: NO DESSERT LEFT BEHIND!
  • Karen is right: neither side was right. Both were in the wrong, and neither should be stood up for.
  • Ugh. Jacqueline is a broke-ass Katie. Bring back Askale, who was FABULOUS and ORIGINAL!
  • This episode was meh. I'm over this trip. Can we go home, please?

Erika is so morally bankrupt. Anything to claw onto 'her' money!

Mia is a total nightmare for this show. She is completely contrived and only says/does things for SL purposes. The audience is highly aware that there is nothing real there.

There was no substantive reason to assault Wendy. Mia just wanted to have A Moment, and to revel in that Moment. She thought she could replicate the Monique-Candiace sensation, where she is Monique to Wendy's Candiace. The difference is that a portion of the audience felt some sympathy for Monique's predicament. They absolutely do not feel that way about Mia, because they can see what a fake she is.

As you point out, she is also jaw-droppingly stupid. Not only did she bank on the audience thinking she was 'BAWSS,' she thought she could contrive an 'I'm so hurt Karen didn't support me' SL. It was painful watching her go through the script in her head. Neither Karen nor Ashley broke a sweat when they firmly told the idiot thug to grow the F up. The best thing Bravo could do for Potomac is to fire this flop after reunion.

I couldn't get the hippopotamus image out of my head when I watched last night. Gizelle, Robyn and Charrisse are slobs, and that's not a reflection on their looks but on the ugliness inside. Gizelle was giddy with all the bad feeling flying around the place.

Karen, Ashley and Candiace were the standouts of the episode. As usual with Ashley, though, she takes too steps forward, one step back, judging by the preview for next week.

    • Now this strikes me as funny. I have it up on my acct. The thing is I only have S2. Didn't want either 1 or 3.  Perhaps I should just list all of these that I have up.  Parodies: Dirty Sexy Money, Filthy Rich Incomplete: The Monroes, All That Glitters, Falcon Crest (have all just not all up), Once & Again S2 only Complete: Models Inc, Pasadena, Pacific Palisades, Paper Dolls, Flamingo Road
    • This is wonderful! Thank you for posting this! I loved the first two seasons and never got to see the final season when they cancelled the DVD release. I've been hoping this popped up on streaming but no luck. Happy I'll finally get to see how it ended!

    • In case it is of interest to anyone here, I have digital copies (computer files, mp4 etc.) of all of the episodes. And, besides having the files they are all up on my usual video hosting site, acct name: shallotpeel, channel it is in: Primetime Soaps and file names like  Flamingo Road S1E15 Hurricane Flamingo Road was a primetime soap on NBC by Lorimar Productions. 2 seasons. 1980-1982. Morgan Fairchild, Barbara Rush. Developed by Rita Lakin.
    • Arguably DAYS OF OUR LIVES has been brilliant lately & definitely was last week. But, here I am with nitpick & technicalities. This was the only misstep but it was just a stupid thing that should have been caught. Deidre Hall as Marlena has this one problematic line, "It didn't matter how many identities you had, I always knew exactly who you were, you were the man who saved my life." - Marlena, DAYS, 6-2-25 Unfortunately the flashback closest to it was when Marlena was on the phone, terrified because she thought he was Stefano. Yes, it's true that the line is not accurate. There were many times when she did not feel the way she is claiming because of whatever was going on in story with his 'retconned to hell & back' identity & origin story. Does it keep the whole week from being called excellent? Nope.

    • I decided this primetime soap deserved it's own thread as the Primetime soaps thread is very cluttered and why shouldn't NBC's Lorimar soap mot have a chance to shine? In doing a deeper dive into the second season ratings I was surprised to see that FR actually had an uptick in the ratings when NBC moved it to 9pm Tuesdays beginning March 82. I'd always assumed this move was a desperate one as NBC were running short of programming and had given up on the show, deciding to let the final episodes play out and be hammered by 3's Company  and CBS Movie. But the numbers paint a different story. In it's 10pm slot up against Hart to Hart, which regularly finished in the Top 20, FL premiered in 53rd place and placed in the 40's and 50's as the season continued. But come January 82 the numbers surged a little now moving into the 40's hitting #43 in Feb. Hart to Hart was #11 Then in March Bret Maverick was moved to 8pm with FR @9. First week 16th March FR #47 15.1/24 3's Company #3 Too Close for Comfort #5 CBS Movie #60 Not great but #2 in it's timeslot March 23 FR #44 15.6/25 3's Company #4 Too Close for Comfort #5 CBS Movie #33 So even with a stronger movie on CBS FR's numbers went up. March 30 FR #31 16.6/26 3's Company #9 Too Close for Comfort #5 CBS Movie #56 Best rating/position yet Tues April 6 pre empted Tues April 14 FR #36 16.0/26 3's Company #5 Too Close for Comfort #11 CBS Movie #59 Maintaining previous week's numbers Tues April 21 FR #33 15.6/24 3's Company #3 Too Close for Comfort #5 CBS Movie #60 Numbers down a little (reflecting general spring downturn) but best ranking of the season so far Tues April 28 FR #35 15.1/23 3's Company #9 Too Close for Comfort #6 CBS Movie #42 Tues May 4 FR #27 15.2/24 3's Company #5 Too Close for Comfort #4 CBS Movie #41 Season finale and highest position of the season. Looking at those numbers I wonder why NBC cancelled the show? They had very few hits and here was a show that was holding it's own and moving up in the rankings in a tougher timeslot. And being a serial, the storylines could continue to build the following season. And I'm sure the desirable W18-49 demo was good. Some might argue that CBS were shower weaker movies, but even so, soap viewers are pretty loyal. I guess Grant Tinker arrived at NBC and wanted a classier look but there was room for FR on the schedule. I mean, the following season Knight Rider,Powers of Matthew Star and the A Team arrived so there was still room for more populist fare. Flamingo could have stayed at 9pm-the replacement Gavilan bombed (surely FR would have done better} or moved back to 10pm. The following Jan NBC had a hit with A Team Tues 8pm. Had Flamingo followed it, it might have really taken off. As it was they tried Bare Essence, which flopped. Oh well,it was not to be...
    • Always, in every way, Cass/Wally/Felicia foundational to my viewing. And, I think if we look at the aftermath of the disastrous 90 minute show that we find too many pockets of some kind of lost time at the show plus way too much of change-ups in exec & writing leadership and of course we also reach the first time it becomes notable that NBC wants to get rid of the show so they can put a new soap they own in the timeslot.
