Melissa Leo played Cliff's sister Linda, right? I was a big fan of hers on Homicide. How was she on AMC? Has she ever talked about her soap days?

Was Alice Haining playing Liza by this time?

They wasted no time in writing Betsy out (temporarily) as soon as the wedding. I guess they knew Meg Ryan was going and they wanted that wedding before she left. I wonder if they would have married Steve and Betsy then if she wasn't leaving. The honeymoon was something with a bear wasn't it?

Was Shana mentioned when Cabot came back from the dead in 1994?

I guess this was the start of Robin Mattson's brief run as Delia.

All My Children

Palmer was shocked to learn from Stuart (whom he thought was Adam) that Palmer is Ross's father. An escaped Stuart threatened Palmer (Pete) with a knife, but Stuart beat it when Palmer sicked his Dobermans on him. Ross pleaded with Joanna, who's Stuart's wife, that Stuart must be institutionalized. Joanna admitted that she loves Adam, not Stuart. Prodded by Joanna, Stuart attempted to strangle Erica. Mark told a surprised Brooke that he loves her. Linda saw Chris behind Cliff's back. Benny urged Phoebe to return home. Hillary learned that she has a "loose" reputation because of her dates with Tad. Palmer was upset that Adam and Stuart's sister Lottie had committed suicide because Palmer had deserted her. For a fee, Zach offered to dig up dirt on Tom so Brooke can get sole custody of her child.

Mike overheard Adam threaten to kill Erica if she ever tries to leave him. Mike later stayed in New York when Erica refused to tell Adam that she loves Mike. Brooke packed her bags and left to move in with Linc and Kelly, after a drunken Tom kidnapped Brooke in a failed attempt to reconcile with her. Mark was upset that Brooke nixed his marriage proposal. To keep Erica, Adam sent Stuart to an institution. Palmer agreed to keep mum about Stuart in return for Adam's info on IRS informant Lois Klingensmith. Benny brought Phoebe home, and was upset that Donna let Zach move in with her. Jesse was disappointed when his disco radio show was dropped from the Chicago market. After sleeping with Dottie, Tad professed his love for Hillary. Cliff fumed that Nina and Linda can't get along. Phoebe refused to make up with Langley (Lenny).

Donna fell for Zach's lie that he loves her. Jesse was hard pressed to resist the sexual advances of Stay, who's one of his fans. While at the Chateau, Phoebe snatched Langley's hairpiece, insisting it belongs to her since he bought it with her dough. Tad conned Hillary into giving him yet another chance to date her. Erica fumed that Adam won't kick Joanna out of his mansion. Ross admitted to Palmer that he hates his father. Adam freaked to see Ross talking to Palmer (Pete). Palmer's private eye found Lois in Europe. Adam took over Erica's cosmetics company in a secret stock buy-out. Ross and Ellen admitted they're in love. Erica went nuts after learning that Mike is writing a story about Adam and Stuart. Devon took Tom to AA meetings. Chuck told Devon he enjoys her company.

Mike left for Mexico alone after Erica refused to leave Adam or her business ventures behind. Palmer relished throwing Edna out of his mansion after he got his fortune unraveled from IRS red tape. Dottie couldn't find the words to tell Tad that her home pregnancy test turned out positive. Phoebe warned Tad not to trifle with Hillary's virtue or her feelings for him. Jesse insisted to Greg that he's not romantically interested in Suzy, who came on to Jesse like gang busters. Hillary consented when Tad said he'd go through with plans to escort Dottie to her own coming out party. Ross is suspicious of Palmer's questions about Ross's family history. Jenny and Greg romped in the lake on their secluded vacation, while Tony rigged their power-ski machine to blow up. Jesse gave Chris a job at the disco.

Greg prayed at Jenny's bedside after she was injured in the power-ski machine explosion, which Tony meant for Greg. Tony was in a tizzy when he realized he'd caused Jenny's injuries, but he made sure he had an alibi for the time of the explosion. Dottle was unable to confront Tad with her suspicion that she's pregnant, and feared he's going to demand that she have an abortion if her pregnancy tests are positive. Marian got her real estate broker's license and her first sale was a condo which she sold to Edna, who was evicted by Palmer. Ross and Ellen patched things up after she convinced him that she really does love him, and isn't just using him to get information on Adam's devious deeds.

Grant's son Carter fell in love with Thomasina. Mark insisted on an appeal after the judge sentenced Catlin to the electric chair. Mystery hitman Ross is tailing Sally, who refused to stop trying to prove that Catlin isn't a murderer. Sally admitted to D.A. Eric that she's Kevin's mother to prove that Catlin didn't kidnap Kevin for ransom; he only did it to get the boy away from David. Donna fretted that her brief affair with Catlin would be revealed during his trial. Nancy fumed that Ada refused to accept Mac's invitation to move into his mansion. Cecile nixed letting Rachel meet her informant, Wallingford. Cecile and Felicia learned that an order of nuns took care of the pregnant girls whose babies Royal had sold to adoptive parents.

Liz took a tumble down the basement stairs which were booby-trapped by Ross in a failed attempt to cause Sally's "accidental" death. Liz and Kevin, who had found her, were rescued by Sally and Mac, who also discovered a leaking gas pipe rigged by Ross. M.J. was embarrassed when she mistook Jamie for a bank robbery suspect. Nancy was dumbfounded when Rachel offered to convince Ada to move into Mac's mansion. Thomasina and Marley threw a party to celebrate the grand opening of Smiley's, Perry's renovated teen hangout. Convinced that Sally's life is in danger, Catlin attempted a jail break, but ran smack into M.J. and her service revolver. Cecile and Felicia donned nuns' habits; then tried to obtain a list of the unwed pregnant teens whose babies Royal had sold. The fledgling lady private eyes also learned that Royal was involved in other crooked schemes beside his baby selling business.

The police attempted to move Catlin to another prison, but Ross forced their car off a cliff en route. Cecile freaked out to find the body of her murdered informant, Bates, stuffed into a refrigerator. Under hypnosis, Sally remembered seeing the flash of a woman's ring just before David's murder. Cecile made love with Cass, but kept mum that she loves him just as much as she loves Peter. Alice romped in the sack with Mark. Felicia learned that a mystery man operating in a sleezy bar used to recruit the unwed teens whose babies Royal later sold. Nancy fumed that Donna invited her to a posh charity party, then dropped the bomb that Nancy will be a servant at the bash. Cecile found a locker claim ticket in Bates' room. Emily played along with Donna, who begged her to bring Peter to Donna's charity party.

M.J.'s little brother, Ben McKennon, was upset that he's all thumbs whenever he's around Marley. Ben's pal, Carter Todd, admitted he's smitten with Thomasina. Sally vowed to prove Catlin's innocence even though his body wasn't found in the wrecked police car. Ross tailed Cecile who arranged to meet her informant, Wallingford, at an amusement park. Felicia and Wallingford learned that the claim ticket Cecile found is for a locker at the race track. Ada and Nancy packed up and moved into Mac's mansion. Mark was upset that Alice put a hold on their budding affair. Marley and Peter worried about Donna's reinvolvement with Carl since Donna and Carl's relationship has always been very volatile. Cecile fantasized about being able to live with both Peter and Cass. Ross met with an unseen mystery woman who wears a ring like the one Sally remembered seeing before David was shot.

Ada freaked out to find a supposedly-dead Catlin hiding in the trunk of her car. After agreeing to meet Wallingford, Cecile went into a "tunnel of love" at an amusement park, but the boat she was riding in returned empty. Cass found the claim ticket which Cecile dropped when she got into the boat. Nancy, Thomasina, Julia, Perry and Marley, along with Ben and Carter, planned a trip to New York City. Ross kept close tabs on Cass, Peter and Felicia, who searched for the missing Cecile. Felicia and Cass learned that the claim ticket is from a race track locker. Dr. Harris hypnotized Sally into believing that Catlin is really dead. He also hypnotized her to forget, rather than remember any details about David's murder.

Steve warned Bob that he thinks Kim is in danger if she continues to see Raymond. Juliette and Brian returned from Paris because of Whit's condition.

Steve flipped when Juliette told him that she's Michael's daughter. Jay took a poke at a drunken Whit, who accidentally struck Dorothy. Diana admitted to Karen that she's faking a recurrence of her pre-eclampsia attack in order to get Steve's attention. Gunnar thanked psychiatrist Donna for her efforts to help him cope with the fact that he's dying. Simon made sure Juliette played a concert tune that activated Craig's "program" to kill. Lily and Dusty conspired to kidnap Whit's race horse Max so that Whit can't race the injured animal. Raymond freaked out to realize that Juliette's music sent Craig in search of passports which he'll use after kidnapping Danielle. Craig's former prison-mate, Cal, agreed to get Maggie some inside info on Craig's prison release. Steve gave Lionel a job. Brian's newspaper sponsored a "Cinderella Sweepstakes" contest.

A shocked Lisa returned from her trip to Europe to find Whit, who had been murdered in their home library. Diana went into premature labor and lost her baby. Hiding in the bushes, Craig saw Steve enter Whit's house before Whit was killed. Frannie and Jay romped in the sack after admitting their love for each other. Jay went to the Caribbean with Karen, who got a quickie divorce from John. Raymond breathed a sigh of relief after stopping Craig from kidnapping Danielle. Russ hovered over a recuperating Betsy, who he's decided to call Brooke. Maggie was delighted when she received official custody of Jill. Craig's former prisonmate, Cal, was upset to receive a letter from his former girlfriend Billie Lou, who said she had abandoned their illegitimate child in Oakdale.

Larry learned that Max heads up a local business cartel. Tess admitted to Chris that she loves him. Maggie rushed to Mickey's hospital bedside. Pete urged Melissa to tell Abe what went down during the rumble. At the rumble, Speed and the Viper used the guns Carlo had bought to send to his countrymen. Determined not to get pregnant by Larry, Hope "doctored" her medical records and lied that she's already pregnant — by Bo. Justine's pimp Telly Burns arrived, but kept mum she'd worked as a prostitute. Suzi was jealous that Cagney moved in with his mother in order to help care for Justine. Suzi and Cagney made wedding plans and she named her baby Jonah. Chase was hospitalized after a brawl with a lucious snake charmer's jealous husband. Chase took a shine to Adair, who showed an unusual interest in Jonah. Lloyd checked out Cord's past, and was jealous of Cord's closeness to Liza.

Suzi was upset that Cagney missed Jonah's christening because he had helped Justine recover from a (faked) fall from her wheelchair. Chase came on hot and heavy with Wendy, and schemed to get Stephanie to finance a music video for Alec. Lloyd was suspicious when Cord's background check proved that he's seemingly legit. Hogan wrote a "Vietnam vet does good" story on Cord. T.R. remembered her real mom's death and also that she had once lived in a fancy house. Justine lied that Telly, who's after a mystery tape, is her former agent.

After their plane crashed, Liza's hired pilot, Kentucky, pulled Cord from the wreck. Liza was no where to be found. Justine kept mum that she can walk again. T.R. remembered that her real mother and father fought a lot. Influenced by Chase's charm, Stephanie agreed to produce a music video for Alec. Alec rescued Adair, who was mistakenly beat up by thug Bernie, whom Telly had ordered to teach Justine a lesson. Suzi postponed her marriage to Cagney. Justine gave Telly the tape he wanted.

Liza stumbled out of the mountains on her own. One of Cord and Kentucky's rescue team members turned out to be Cord's sister, pilot Victoria Windsor, who agreed to stay on in Henderson. Tony Nardo, a man who knows about T.R.'s childhood, learned Sunny and Hogan are snooping into his past. Adair was upset to overhear Chase call her a sexual tease. Chase's attempt to split up Alec and Adair failed. Hogan learned that Tony paid the funeral expenses for Julia Hawkins, who turned out not to be T.R.'s real mother.

Victoria came to Henderson to be with Cord and was shocked to run into Cagney. Victoria kept mum that she had had an affair with Cagney while they both worked in the Peace Corps. Stephhanie's attempt to bribe Justine into leaving town failed miserably. Adair considered sleeping with Alec to prove she's not the sexual tease Chase believes her to be. Sunny and Hogan want to question Tony Nardo, whom they learned is a prosperous businessman.

How many half-sisters did he have?? What happened to her later on?

I guess this is when Eileen Fulton returned.

Geez, Dan and Larry Wolek fell for the same woman twice? Lazy. I think the only way that type of story would work is with Karen, if she'd been around when Dan was an adult. That would have been in her self-destructive character.

I didn't know that Eve was still on Y&R after she tried to kill Victor and Nikki. I thought she was gone until the Cole story.

How do you spell "too soon," AMC? S-H-E-I-L-A.

I realize many GUIDING LIGHT fans in retrospect have problems w/ 1984-85; for me, though, that was that show's last gasp of brilliance before the Nancy Curlee era of the early '90's.

AMC - I never knew Jesse was a singer.

Search - Chase and Adair? That sounds like furniture, not a couple.

Y&R - They should have used some of the history between Patty and Traci when Patty returned and killed Colleen. And that story about Jill putting booze in Katherine's medicine sounds great.

OLTL - I never knew that Delilah miscarried Samantha's embryo/fetus. I thought Sammi was Samantha's child. Dorian made out with Dan Wolek? She really did have a yen for younger men.

And this, imagine what great story it could have been:

Tyrone was upset that Jazz insisted that Amy must continue to believe Tyrone is dead. Julia wants to move to Paris, and insisted she doesn't want Eric tied to her because he is Jaime's father. Monique told Victor she doesn't think Dina forced Marcel to give up Mergeron. Mike and Kong learned that Amy is a cop's daughter. Jill warned Lindsey to keep her mitts off of John. Jack slugged Marc, who said that Dina had been having an affair with Brent before she ditched John. Paul was upset that Lauren didn't tell him firsthand that she may go on tour with Danny's band. In payment for killing Leon, Mr. Anthony agreed to promote Jazz or let Jazz out of the organization; whichever Jazz wants. Andy and Paul located Brent's ex-wife, Ruth. Danny disliked Shawn on first sight.

Julia admitted to Eric that Jaime is his daughter, but insisted that Julia and Eric can only be friends. Dina admitted to Jack and Ashley that she had an affair with Brent years ago, before she split for Paris. Dina kept mum that one of her children was fathered by Brent. Brent wondered if Jack could be his son. Andy and Paul insisted on teaming up with Jazz after learning that Tyrone is alive and Jazz is after Mr. Anthony. Jill smooched with Marc and then lied to John that she hasn't seen Marc. Jill told John that Philip plans to spend the holidays with a pal. Jack realized that Brent still loves Dina. Doning her hooker outfit, Amy went off on her own to find Tyrone's supposed killer. Brent tried to get Kay to an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting. Jack suspects Victor has an ulterior motive for wanting to help Dina fight Marc's lawsuit over the Mergeron Corp.

Monique told Marc that his father wasn’t conned into turning Mergeron over to Dina. Later, Victor bought Marc's share of Mergeron and Marc and Dina settled their lawsuit out of court. Marc then planned to return to Paris. Julia and Jaime left for Paris too after saying goodbye to Eric. Andy rescued Amy from Kong, who received orders to find out what Amy's up to. Tyrone agreed that Amy must be told that Tyrone is alive. As a ploy, Jazz told Mr. Anthony he'll keep working for the syndicate. Lauren told Tim that Traci miscarried. Traci accepted a solo singing gig from nightclub owner Jared. Lauren was puzzled to see that Shawn has photos of her in a bikini, but he diverted her attention from the photos. In Italy, JoAnna saw a rock magazine article on Lauren, who JoAnna hasn't seen in seven years. Traci told Tim she won't leave Danny

To help Lauren, Shawn paid customers at the club to walk out on Traci's performance. Jared persuaded Traci to sing for him again. Shawn bugged Lauren and Paul's apartment and heard Paul admit he's checking out Shawn's past. Amy freaked to learn Tyrone is alive but kept Frank in the dark about her meeting with Tyrone. Jill fantasized about killing Kay. Ashley was puzzled to get an antique pearl necklace from a secret admirer. Jack is unaware Victor bought Marc's share of Mergeron Corp. before Marc left for Paris. Lindsey was shocked to think Jack still cares for her. Lauren admitted she thinks of Mary, not JoAnna, as her mom. JoAnna is impressed by Lauren's singing career.

Lauren thought of Mary as her mother? Really?

I didn't know that Jesse Hubbard had a half-brother. Has he been mentioned in recent years?

Who was Mark on AW? How long was he around? I'm blanking on him for some reason. He's yet another psychic who populated Bay City. Was he the first? It's fascinating to think that from 1984-1999, they had a psychic in Bay City almost constantly.

Mark Singleton was played by Robin Thomas and was on from March 83 till January 85.

He married Stacey,Cass' sister in Dec 83 but it only lasted 6 months.I think he had a brief back burner romance with Alice Matthews Frame.

When he was introduced he was a congressman who had a past affair with Stacey, who was involved with Jamie Frame. His wife Janet came to town.

When he was injured Stacey married him. They had a daughter Megan.Father and daughter were killed off when Stacey returned few years later.
