Branco acts as if ATWT was getting rid of an emmy award winner, and just shipping him out of town with no explanation. Peck may be a good inteview and a good lay, but his acting comes and goes.

And I'd really dispute the whole "Bratie's so popular" argument. Yeah, they had their fans, but TIIC have been struggling to write something for them for more than a year. Doesn't take a Mensa candidate to figure out Peck was on the bubble with a tight budget.

I'm kind of stunned that TC managed to pull it up a notch and make me feel a little for Katie. If asked---I'll deny ever posting that, btw.

:o Do I need to call a doctor?????????? :o

*pfffftttt!!!!* Oooh dear, made drink go up my nose. I don't know what I like better...the context of the joke, or the alliteration of it all. :P

ITA, Ron. The Friday cliffhangers have been Niiiiiice!!!

Who wants to make a bet that next week will be potentially Emmy-worthy material for both Terri Colombino and Michael Park??

P.S. -- Ron, I don't know if Peck's exit and Colombino's emotional acting breakthrough have a connection, but there are whispers circulating that Terri and her hubby have parted ways.... *zips lips, throws away the key, and hurriedly walks off*

They didn't "drop" the Adam story, they wrote him an exit. Casey caused it. Just because it wasn't announced all over the magazines doesn't mean it wasn't resolved on screen that Adam left town. As for Margo, she has been on 3 days this week, interacting with her brother as well as doing police work. Margo's story does not depend on Adam. It is Tom, moreso, who we are no longer seeing. Adam can come back later, or not -- it's open-ended, which is good because I do hope he comes back -- but for now, Casey made him leave. And it is a believable thing for Casey to have done.

I agree Maddie could have been used more in the story with Audrey and Henry.

Characters really "dropped" in the last few months, under Passanante's watch, are Jade, Matt, and Derek. I miss Jade's interaction with Luke badly. Matt had a lot of chemistry with Allison. Jade had a lot of chemistry with Casey too.

The post from someone here bashing David Kreizman for a TWOP rumor ... Why?... First of all that supposed story hasn't started yet and I don't necessarily believe the rumor. Second Kreizman is quite possibly responsible for a lot of the show's other changes that posters seem to be liking, so I totally disagree that Kreizman is "the last thing this show needed." Third, I don't see why the rumored story has to be bad - it depends on how it would play out. Fourth, the created character is not essentially the same as a dropped one at all (even if one were to believe the rumored story which I don't anyway).

Friday's show was good. I'm glad Luke was not that gung-ho about Lucinda's plan, although he did go along with it. As I mentioned last week, I thought Luke would want his mother to be able to make up her own mind, not be forced back to Holden, and that's pretty much what Luke was voicing Friday. The cliffhanger was well-written, but the directing for it was bleh. They should have shown Brad's wound more clearly and had more dramatic music. People might well have missed the wound if they didn't already know spoilers.

Liberty is not isolated in her age range -- there are Tony who knocked her up and her friend Mackenzie (btw, Asian, yay -- represent!!) as recurring characters that we know of.

Pissy has a habit of dropping stories, or wrapping them up fast if they're not working. As nice as Tom Degan (?) was, I don't think he had much of a presence in the role, and it seemed more like the latest "let's throw a 20-ish male character at Alison" story. Look at the Hunter debacle...that's been completely dropped. I think it's time TIIC called it a day, and shipped Ali out of town. I like MS, but she's got the chemistry of a bottle of vinegar with every male she's been hooked up with. I mean honestly---canning Dylan Bruno (Chris) instead of her?? FCOL! And I say that dreading a DK influenced recasting of Bonnie Dennison in the role.

I think Lib's pretty isolated. Other than Parker, and occassionally Faith (who seems to have disappeared again) there's no other teens, period. Dayplayers don't count. I was really looking forward to her moving on and only being friends/stepcousins with Parker. Now it's drifting back into "Parker has an unrequited thing for Libby" territory range.

Interesting, I have a totally different take ... I actually like MS as Alison. She has shown her range to me, going from the sleazy, vampy porn star drug addict when she first started to the super innocent damsel in distress and nurturer now. Also I think the Adam story was more than just throwing a 20-something at her, because it brought in the Hughes/Stewart rivalry as well as sibling rivalry between Casey and Adam.

Oh don't tempt me with ideas that DK could influence casting. If DK were to influence casting, I would want EJ Bonilla on ATWT! He can be the teen contemporary of Parker and Liberty y'all want so much.

As for Parker and Liberty, I still think Parker is just being a very good, supportive friend, no unrequited crush. It's so admirable and adorable. Parker is such a good boy in between his acting-out moments.

It's a shame Adam is gone over TP.

Again we disagree about Fridays show...lol...what a surprise...lol

The direction was great. We didnt need to see Brad's wound to know Jack had shot him instead. The music was perfect. The dramatic music was during the actual shooting. The music for Jack finding Brad had to be more sober and not dramatic.

Btw PJ...it's Dylan Bruce.and not Dylan Bruno....lol..... Here's my baby darling lindo Bruce...on the top of my post..lol..he is so hot!

Oh and HELL NO TO BONILLA ON ATWT!!!!

I would rather wash my eyes with bleach than have to sit through EJ Bonilla on ATWT. That would be awful.

I can definitely see Mick being a character-recast of Adam...especially if Kreizman wanted Adam to be bad again. Since Pissy knows how to ruin a good story, I'm sure she suggested reverting Adam back to a psycho, but Kreizman suggested bringing on a different version of Adam...someone who could act like they want, without Adam's hawty-tawty Hughes/Munson "morally obedient" background. End result: Mick.

I liked Tom Degan in the role of Adam. Too bad they had him leave town.

Jfung's assertion that MS has successfully portrayed Alison being a meth addict porn star...all the way to a nurturing nurse with a guilty reputation. That started me thinking....how many times, since Pissy took over, has a return character transformed? It seems like every returning character that she writes goes from one extreme to the other. Adam was a psycho, turned identity stealer, turned good guy. Alison was a meth addicted porn star, turned man-eater, turned whiney bitch, turned nurturing nurse. Not to mention the characters that were promised exciting return storylines, only to be shelved a week after their initial storyline came to a close. i..e. Bonnie, Jade, Adam, Aaron, etc. I mean.......it's almost like she doesn't know how to write a soap!!.......... :P

I was very disappointed in the ending of Friday's show. Not really a cliff hanger when you show the result.

They should have had the struggle and gun shots be the end of the show. Not show who was shot.

I was underwelmed with Jack's reaction to seeing Brad. Hopefully it will be better next week

I disagree. In the 1984 Dallas cliffhanger someone shot at JR's chair but the ending showed Bobby falling from the chair. They showed the result and I found that as a cliffhanger. We didnt know if Bobby would survive. They could have left it with gun shots but I was happy with the cliffhanger.

As for Jack...what was he suppose to do?? Scream and yell like hystrical loon....lol....He just might do that on Monday's show. But I loved his reaction to finding out it was Brad who he had shot.

I can't wait for tomorrow and this whole week!!

    • I like Margaret well enough in what I've seen of her as Paige - she is green but she has real star power.  I agree about the actor who plays Brian. He's...mostly just there. Not bad but not great.  My main issue is with the guy who plays Owen. He's just not appealing to me. I can believe Nola being obsessed with him, but he's draining to watch.  I'm surprised people objected to the quasi-incest elements as it wasn't anything that new for soaps.  Speaking of Kim, here's a rare episode of an anthology show she did called The Evil Touch.

    •   I get what you're both saying, and I think the show was lucky to have even made it that long, but I think they could have still maintained a certain audience - Second Chances did before the earthquake. CBS was an older network anyway. I think the premise of Knots was still usable, it was more the characters who were a problem - many of the older figures were played out. If the show had done a better job building up its younger cast instead of making so many poor choices in the late '80s and early '90s, they could have kept things going a little longer.
    • I wish I cared about the homeless lady as much as everyone else seems to. After the nothing burger that was the lawsuit, this just feels like another boring Naomi storyline at Orphy Genes since she has no office.
    • That's great to hear. Thanks. I wish that was more readily available.
    • Just learned that Clifton Davis wrote this song!  I had no idea.

    • I think even if Marland had wanted to write more for Sara/Adam, his hands would have been tied as Robert Milli was one of the actors dumped by P&G due to his age.  From the bits and pieces I've seen of that period, Sara does have a key role in the Carrie plot, and Marland briefly gave her son Tim a more important part. I'm not sure if they just gave up on Tim once Kevin Bacon left or if they never really cared. I did not even know for many years that there was an actor in the part after Kevin...and then not one, but two. The Spauldingfield video on Tim doesn't even show the last actor (Nigel Reed), which kind of says it all. Anyway, I do get the sense Marland has some use for Sara, or for Millette. It's only after he goes that she is dumped. Of course he didn't ever hire her for his other shows, so maybe I'm wrong. (then again he never hired Geraldine Court either and he seemed very fond of her) Ann is an odd character to me as she is a proto-Lillian in being defined by pining for a Bauer brother and being involved in the death of one of their wives. I do wonder what else they could have done with her. She was friends with Diane, wasn't she? They could have had Diane manipulate her against Mike, I suppose.
    • Yassss....come on Maurice and Brandon...give us nothing!!! Wow, their need to develop their craft shone like a blinding light this episode. Brandon in his Martin and Smitty scenes sounded like he was reading and the facial expressions were giving Disney Channel. He did much better against Maurice in the Martin v Ted scenes. Now, Teddd-dyy (Dana's voice) was just flat. I watched the episode just now after reading the comment on here that Maurice needs to stop swaying, and now I can't unsee it. Has it really been this bad all along?  Ambyr carries. I don't need to say anymore. I am kind of excited to see this Kat/Tomas/Eva stuff play out.  Bill is such a dick to Dani. Like that's the mother of your children that you cheated on with your daughter's best friend but you look to take those low blows. Lord! When he said that thing about it being obvious he didn't care about Dani anymore since he was the one that walked out...that was cold. I even felt for Dani. Bill definitely is all over the spectrum. You can see a villain possibly surfacing, but you also see this great father. The elder Duprees move a little funny. I'm wondering what that is all about. Are they just overly protective matriarch and patriarch because they think it's what's best for their family, or are they afraid their secrets will come out or there's something more sinister there. Why would Vernon want to keep that information from Martin?  I hope something interesting comes out of this June stuff, but as of right now, I'm not too invested. It's not helping my interest on Naomi or Jacob either. However, tge actress playing Naomi has comes a long way from day one.
    • None of the males are taking their shirts off every week, so we know they have some degree of acting skill.
