Jonathan Jackson is the real Lucky anyway. I love Greg, but the character never clicked after Jackson left.

But this would actually mean DE-SORASING the character...

I hope he still has chemistry with Becky. I know alot of Becky Herbst fans will be screaming with excitement when they hear this news.

OMG!! I never thought JJ would return to daytime. I've never been an avid GH watcher but JJ was the only Lucky Spencer I gave a damn about. Sorry about Greg Vaughn, but he was never Lucky to me. It's gotta suck to be replaced by our predecessor.

Fantastic news. He's the one and only Lucky. Greg Vaughn NEVER made sense as Lucky. Nor did Jacob Young really.

When's Genie coming back? You have to get the original family together.

I can't wait to see "The Real Lucky is Back" promos.

And I would not object to seeing those because he totally deserves it, unlike RB.

Jonathan JacksonABC Daytime has confirmed that Jonathan Jackson will return to General Hospital to reprise the role of Lucky Spencer -- the son of super couple Luke and Laura -- on Thursday 10/1. Jackson originated the role of Lucky, which he played from 1993-1999. He has also starred in films like Tuck Everlasting and Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights, and was most recently seen as John Connor on The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

ABC Daytime also confirmed that Greg Vaughan has decided to leave General Hospital.

From the official statement: "Greg Vaughn has decided to vacate the role to explore new opportunities. We thank him for his years engaging our audience and dedication to the show and network. The cast and crew wish him well in all his future endeavors."

Lucky can be a Spencer again. His cop days are about to be over. Luke will remember that he has another son. Ethan might be out.

I wonder what the situation with Greg is. He has a small son and his wife is pregnant, so now is not the time to leave a stable job. Was he really fired to bring JJ back, or does he already have a new job lined up?
