OLTL: Recast

  • Member

From GL Buzz:

Apparently the new SOD is reporting that Alexandra Neil is the new Paige, and will first appear January 27th. Interesting, since I believe Neil appeared on OLTL this summer as the wedding planner for David and Dorian's wedding

:rolleyes: Another re-cast?! Wow... I guess Woods does not have the pull he used to since he has always been against frequent re-casts of one character he is with.

I think this is a poor re-cast. I wish Cady Huffman stayed, or Mary Beth Evans would've won the role. Cannot picture Neil as Paige.

LOL this is gonna be the 3rd actress playing her in less than 2 years LOL... I say just kill off the character and forget about her.....

I agree the character is not that important.

I'd wait until we have more proof. And even if it is true, for all we know she may be great in the role of Paige. I've never seen this actress, but jeeze, can't we give her a chance to prove herself?

Why won't they let this character go?! SHE'S NOT THAT GREAT, Higley!

I loved Paige when Kimberlin Brown played her but I really could not stand Cady Huffman. I would have liked the character to be killed off but no, another recast!

Alexandra Neil is a great actress. I loved her on Texas so much as Ruby. She was on AW also and I remember her from GL.

She was also on ATWT as Margo's friend. She was HIV positive. It was during Margo's rape. Margo become mother to her son. I loved the actor playing the role of her son. Too bad he was let go and left with Nikki I believe.

I did like Alex Neil as Dawn on ATWT, but can't see her as Paige. I wish OLTL would get Kimberlin Brown back. Maybe Alex Neil will be a temp.Paige.

Youd think Paige would be a huge character like GH's Carly with all these recast. Seriously! I thought Cady was a good actress. I guess she wanted to go back to Broadway.

Cady had said she was only going to be on until the end of the year... It was the assumption that Paige would be leaving with her but I guess it's because that was all that she would do...

Which again... is dumb on OLTL's part! If you know this actress will just be there on for a few months and that you have longer goals for her, why take her? C'mon? This is quite stupid of OLTL. It's not something that they do that often either. WTF is their obsession with this dull as door nails character!!
