Margaret Guenveur who played Dr. Sedwick on The Guiding Light for 30 years passed away Oct. 18.

This is saddening. My sympathies to her family, she was a very capable actress, and her role as Dr. Sedwick will always be apart of my experience as a GL viewer.

That's sad to hear. I always looked forward to seeing her on GL. She had such a warm, comforting presence, and helped lend a dose of humanity to some OTT pregnancy stories.

May she rest in peace. Any relation to Roger Guenveur Smith?

Quick question---remember that basketball bachelor party? Who's was it? Ross's or Hamp's?

I think it was Ross's...I know they abducted him and took his clothes. Maybe it wasn't Ross then.

I never understood why GL didn't bring Billy Fletcher instead of Kelly Nelson as a young man connected to the Bauers.

I think by that time GL was probably being told to move further away from its past, and Peggy had vanished about a year before Kelly showed up, so people might have still remembered her son was much younger than Kelly's age.

It's a shame they never thought about bringing Peggy or Billy in later. Instead of some of the silly stuff GL did with Roger and Holly in 1994 after they got back together (Mr. Tashiwa and the rest), they could have had Peggy come back and show Holly's insecurities.

Hope dated Ben?!?!? I only (barely) remember Ben as Eve's(?) bf/husband.

Yeah. I think, from what I read, she modeled for him. They got engaged, but there was conflict with Mike, because -- was it something about Ben's past, hadn't he been sent to prison for a robbery or something? I'm not sure. Anyway I guess Robin left or they fired her, and then Ben was with Eve and they brought Amanda in.

Ben and Eve were married but they divorced because of his feelings for Amanda.
