July 5, 201015 yr Member I know Y&R had stuff and I'm sure other soaps did too (earlier today I watched a fab OLTL episode from July 4 1992, although it didn't actually go that much into the holiday) but GL did seem to make an extra effort. The barbecue and the corny jokes and the drama and the pride in the day. There were so many special moments. One of the last I really loved was when Meta read the Declaration of Independence. For me in those earlier years I always looked forward to the Bauer barbecue on GL and on ATWT, the Memorial Day barbecue at the Hughes house.
July 11, 201015 yr Member One of my favorite soap hunks of all time--TOM O'ROURKE (Justin Marler #1; 1977-83)
July 11, 201015 yr Member He had such a ruggedness and sincerity about him. I think he looked best with the mustache though. I still can't believe instead of bringing him back they recast with useless Chris Pennock. Why?? His Justin seemed like he was always about to either cry or light up.
July 16, 201015 yr Member Reminder - this Sun. 60 Minutes segment on GL will re air on July 18th. Cool! Didn't know that. I missed it the first time, but saw it online/YouTube, but wanted a copy of it for myself, thanks!
July 19, 201015 yr Member Thought it was kind of strange 60 min. would re air the segment on GL again - after all this time and GL not on CBS anymore - maybe there is GL fan that works at 60 min.
August 21, 201015 yr Member I still miss Edmund and wonder what Eddie Boy is doing now and wonder if jeffie is still trying to kill him and keep missing Eddie boy again and again?
August 22, 201015 yr Member DAM deserved a better story - however he did the best he could - wonder about Eddie's little grandson - too bad we never got to see one scene with Eddie/Henry.
August 28, 201015 yr Member Sept. 77 SOD interview with Lenore Kasdorf (Rita). SOD Publishing Inc. Edited November 22, 201015 yr by CarlD2
August 29, 201015 yr Member I decided to just do the scans of the whole interview. I wonder if this was at the time that Allen Potter said they were trying to redeem Rita, before they realized the audience would never accept her as anything but bad.
