@Vee, you have been a role this week! Thank you for the tag! Once I get through the OLTL classics, I can't wait to sit and watch these.

It's nothing to do with me, it's just a very generous new user on YT who popped up on my screen. I felt people should know about the initial offerings for these shows, but the rest should probably be left to each of us to monitor ourselves.

@Vee thanks! I feel completely lost, but Sara's a hottie and I feel like I remember Joe.

Related question: I scrolled through the other videos that were put up on the account, and perversely stumbled into a Doctors episode (I had to click, I saw Kimmer with foot-wide hair and just couldn't resist, lol) but was the guy who played Joe Bradley (Carrie's other victim) also on the Doctors, or does he just have that kind of face?

That would have been good and blown JFP's b.s. about having to kill her to shake up the canvas, to hell. Mo torn between her best friend and her niece? Mo standing up to Roger, while at the same time understanding that this is his grandkid...Roger and Mo growing closer because of Peter while Ed has to stand aside and pout?  Shows that it was all just b.s. to free up money for Deas.

Or Vanessa having to choose between Billy and Mo? No matter which way it went, it would've been GOLD.

He was.

Re: 1973 GL. I really like Rodell as Leslie. I wonder why the character was always styled with short hair (wig) ? What little I have seen of Adams she comes across as frosty and aloof. She had more life to her acting on Secret Storm. Joe does looks sprayed old. Sara was beautiful. The house set looks like the same set used for Jackie's house in the 1977 episode, it had be repainted/redressed by then. Kit is creepier than what I imagined. I wish more of this storyline was available.

TGL episode was around late August/early Sept 73.

3 voiceovers in the early part of the episode was a bit of overkill.

Also surprised at Anthony call's grey locks. And Millette looks pretty and youthful. She was 40 at that time. By 1980 she had a much older and dowdy look. Wouldn't happen these days with 50 plus actresses presenting years younger.

And we get to see the change from Barbara Rodell back to Lynne Adams as Leslie.

Barbara got the short end of the stick here with the producers decide to recast with Lynne, the original Leslie.

Don Stewart was looking very hunky here with the tan and filling out the yellow seersucker shirt nicely.

Nancy Addison looked great.

Maybe Victoria should have had another child, with the old pregnant when she left town trope. It could have given Leslie/Mike more to do.

Before I forget, I wanted to say that even though the August 1973 episode has big technical issues, it's still worth a watch. I never thought I'd get to see the aftermath of Charlotte's death. What I appreciated most was the nuance in how Bert and Mike reacted to the news - as Bert said, she hurt Mike badly, but they still felt sorrow for her ending. Not sure we would have gotten that on the show enough in later years.

It may have also been Lynne Adams' first episode back as Leslie. You can immediately feel an energy difference (and an age difference).

I swear that is Ross' front door...and that painting behind Joe looks familiar.

That could have worked. If it was a woman they may have had Mike go between sisters like Leslie had with brothers.

I also briefly thought it was Ross' house.

With a 1973 episode surfacing, do we dare hope that there's Dobsons-era material about to show up?

I'm happy to finally see any episode of Kit and Charlotte. I'm still hoping that an episode of Lynn Deerfield as Holly shows up. She left when I was four, so I don't remember her

Wasn't Holly originally from a very wealthy family?  That relationship to wealth seemed to be completely ignored when the character returned in the late-1980s through the end of the series.  Did Holly lose her wealth in a storyline?  Or was her rich background just forgotten about?  Or am I just wrong about her wealthy background?

I hope someone knows. I do not. Here's the Soap Central Character Bio for Barbara Norris, but it isn't clear to me. https://www.soapcentral.com/guiding-light/whoswho/barbara.php I asked AI & it said Yes, wealthy & came from wealth, but you know I don't put a lot of faith in AI's soap knowledge.

There is a GREAT monologue during the JFP/Curlee years where Holly talks about if I remember correctly, an alien landing and she has to explain herself...(I kid you not and it worked) and she refers to herself as a "rich little daddy's girl" so someone remembered. She had enough cake to buy the Journal and into WSPR..(I never knew who the hell owned that, it was Alan, then Roger and Holly? Then Dinah????) I think post Rauch they forgot about that but I always wanted Holly to go toe to toe with the Spauldings, MG has that great Bev way with a sarcastic one liner (with irony thrown in.) They all think it Rog gobbling up stock but it turns out to be Holly...(and she and RR had great chemistry in that "one" little scene when he was giving her stock to have the Journal...RR to his credit acted a bit turned on by MG in that scene and who the hell wouldnt be?)
