On January 5, 1993, on GL, Ellen Parker as Mo, delivered my favorite of all lines of soap opera dialogue, “You have reduced us to a ridiculous suburban joke and I will never forgive you for this”. - Mo to Lillian, GL 1-5-1993. Scriptwriter of the day was Courtney Sherman Simon, Headwriter, Nancy Curlee Demorest with Lorraine Broderick and with Stephen Demorest, Exec Producer, Phelps

I like to say that 'Mo was a Reardon by birth, a Bauer by marriage, Michele's mother by circumstance, seen by many fans as the inheritor of Bert's matriarchy, a tentpole legacy character and Roger's only real friend. - Donna L. Bridges about JFP killing Ellen Parker's character, Maureen, on GL

Alright...now I've got to ask...what the hell makes Maureen Roger's friend? Is there something huge that I miss by not watching the first half of '89? Because I can literally recall one conversation between them, and that's during the blackout. I get that in that from '89 to '92, she's almost literally the only person not actively out for his blood, but if that's all it took, then damn.

Oh, dear.  You know how much I adore Justin Deas...but do I really want to sit through another one of Alan Locher's interviews?  (I'm sure you're a nice guy, Mr. Locher, you just suck at interviewing people.)

So tell me about your first day.....that's CRAZY!

I actually find Deas (as much as I dislike Buzz and his overacting...) to be an interesting interview..he's grumpy, terse, and doesn't give a damn...if only they wrote Buzz like that. I find his relationship with Colin so interesting..they seem opposites as she is so cheeful and outgoing. I would love to hear what Deas thinks of Colin's pro-life activism but you know Alan wont touch that!

It's so funny to me - and by that I mean ODD. When he first began doing this it seemed he was good at it.

Then time passed and it was like, meh, smh, why isn't he asking the question I am typing into the chat? and so on.

Then, even more time passed & we reach the point where we have actual criticisms ....

I am forced to admit that the old adage, "Familiarity breeds contempt." really does have something to it!!!!

Of course, I could be confusing Justin Deas and Margaret Colin with Tom Hughes and Margo Montgomery Hughes, but I'm willing to bet that Colin, IRL, is someone who isn't afraid to call Deas on his [!@#$%^&*] when she needs to; and that that's probably why Deas has stayed with her all these years, too.

I've met Margaret & Justin. They are very much in love.

I'm sure they are and that usually includes calling the person you are in love with out on their..crap.  But I have a feeling Deas in an introvert ( I know, you wouldnt know it from the scenery chewing) and Colin is an extrovert and they adore each other, which is really cool for actors.

I think that's a topic no interviewers are likely to go into.

I think Alan has improved a little, but I often forget about his show being on or I just don't really have the patience. I also think doing them live is a waste of time because he doesn't really go into the live questions anyway.

I have a need to know the exact date when Nancy Curlee, Stephen Demorest & James E. Reilly became the GL Headwriters. Some sources say Dec. 1990. Others say Jan. 1991. Does anyone happen to know?

I found James E Reilly and Pam Long credited on the Christmas 1990 episode. (the date on it is Dec 19th, but I believe that to be incorrect.)

The first American episode I have saved to my 1991 (Jan 15) playlist lists Curlee/Demorest/Reilly. January 1991 is spotty (which sucks...).

I know it's not the preciseness that you wanted, but that's what I could verify.

So, did anyone listen to Deas?

No, it's good, it helps. And much thanks!

Sure, I headed over, not live, but shortly after. I stuck it out till a little over halfway, but I quit because it was not keeping my interest. And, I mean, I can tolerate a lot but not boring me.

Margaret kibbutzes & I really liked that! Today was their 37th anniversary.

I think Alan Locher is a decent and lovely man, but his natural instinct is to protect his guests from any potential unpleasantness or negativity. This can be annoying to the watcher/listener. The best interviews are the ones where he doesn't know the potential dangers (the guests are not from GL or ATWT) and/or the interviewees don't allow him to protect them.
