To answer if the nat'l media care probably not I do notice stories picked up by them but I don't know if they care or not....they should because IMO its as American as apple pie...I grew up watching soaps when written well the stories are awesome unfortunately many aren't. It's just like when they misidentify soap actors...not just mispelling their name, but getting their names completely screwed up with others. One of the big magazines did that earlier this year.
