So in this tough economy TL and AH would willingly give up her income which would lower their lifestyle and short change their children's futures financially because some Y&R fans want a new actress in the role of Victoria? Seriously, I think some soap fans are out of touch of reality.

No, but if they are financially well off and have been smart with money she may want to stay home with her two kids.

BTW, wasn't Shari Shattuck fired while pregnant?

Don't know if she was pregnant at that time but I think Shattuck wasn't let go. Her contract was up for renewal and they simply decided againts renewing because they managed to get Eileen Davidson back from DAYS.
