I think General Hospital, of all the soaps, is in a real quandary because GH is constantly fighting its past, and in particular, it's fighting its past now. It seems to suddenly have become a real issue. When I went back to the show in 2006 it was starting to bubble, and I don't know if comments I made at the time helped it bubble up a bit hotter. But, I think what you have got now is an issue with the core body of fans. GH has a core body of fans that support it with whatever is happening. Now that core body of fans is deserting it, and when the last one turns off, that's it. The new fans will not support it in a way that the older, foundational group will.

I think that Tristan Rogers is being simplistic in his reason for GH losing viewers. History has been rewritten many times and the mob has taken over GH for years and people still watched even as the ratings slipped. Something else must be happening for such large numbers to turn out in one year. I am not sure what it is, but it ain't good.

Like I have said with other soap actors, I have no problem with them talking as long as they can deal with the consequences. It will be a long time before TR is asked back after his Monavie comments.

I'm just sick of him running his mouth off. Especially seeing as the only reason he's saying anything is because it'll be a cold day in hell before he's asked back to GH.

Why shouldn't he run his mouth off? He's right. GH has been [!@#$%^&*] for years. No amount of flashy promos, shitty CGI and pitiful attempts at "strong women" who are always beholden to the criminal men will change that.

Like I said, it seems like the only reason he's saying anything is because he hasn't been asked to return again, and most likely never will.

I think they will ask Tristan Rogers, Finola Hughes and Genie Francis to return for the final few episodes. I hope that they all say, "no way in hell."

They treated them like crap.Not to mention what they did the Q's.I mean theres no younger Q's.I don't really count Michael in this either though.But they killed Alan,AJ,Emily,got rid of Ned,Dillion,and Brookelynn.They have invaded GH with nothing but mob characters.I mean legacy characters like Lucky,Liz,Nicholas,don't get any stories.They killed Georgie off.Robin got better stories when she was 10.They brought Matt on hes been on the show for what a year or longer and still no love interest or anything.
