"Days of Our Lives" is reuniting three stars of "Passions" with the casting of Lindsay Hartley as Arianna Hernandez. Hartley takes over the role from Felisha Terrell. Look for the switch to happen on-air in early September. Hartley, who starred for all nine years of "Passions" as Theresa Lopez-Fitzgerald, appeared in the most episodes (1,919) in series' history, followed closely in second place by Galen Gering (Rafe), who played her brother, Luis Lopez-Fitzgerald, for all nine years the show was on the air, and who appeared in 1,829 episodes during his tenure. Hartley will also be reunited with her long-time on-screen boyfriend from "Passions", Eric Martsolf (Brady), who joined "Passions" in 2002 as Ethan Winthrop and played Hartley's on-again/off-again romance for the final six years of the series, culminating with the couple's marriage in the series' final episode.

Hartley's arrival brings both "relationships" back into existence, as she will again be playing Gering's sister and Martsolf's girlfriend. This is the first time in "Days" history that actors from another soap have been reunited, although it has happened on other soaps in the past. After leaving "Days" in the 1990s, Stephen Nichols (Steve) and Mary Beth Evans (Kayla) were reunited as different characters on "General Hospital" and Ricky Paull Goldin and Beth Ehlers left "Guiding Light" to reunite on "All My Children" in new roles. This perhaps may be the first time in soap history that three actors were reunited on a different soap.

Lindsay Nicole Korman Hartley, 31, was born on April 17, 1978 in Rancho Mirage, California. She married her former "Passions" co-star Justin Hartley on May 1, 2004. They have a five-year-old daughter, Isabella Justice. Besides her role on "Passions", Hartley also has appeared on one episode of "CSI." During her tenure on "Passions", she was nominated for three Soap Opera Digest Awards (female newcomer, younger lead actress, and favorite triangle).

I liked Passions and I like Days, but I didn't want Passions eating Days alive until what is left is Passions. Somewhere JER is having a laugh about this.

Lindsay & Eric did't have chemistry to me. As long as they don't bring Liza over. She had better chemistry with Eric.

That's going a little far. She was perfectly fine on Passions and did a lot of different kinds of material and gave it her best shot to sell some really over the top material. Just for the Bollywood musical number alone she has my respect (as does Eric Martsolf who is really a talented guy).

Oh no, jp, don't quit! I want to keep talking Days with you on the Days thread. Plus, you never know. LH may surprise you. I always thought Gering and Martsolf were brainless hair models ( © Nelson Branco) but since appearing on Days they have completely changed my opinion of them. GG in particular.

Obvs I'm biased since I always thought Hartley (and her husband) would be break-out stars after Passions. But if she doesn't work out, they could always hire Priscilla Garita to replace her. Yep, still beating the PG drum and hoping she gets cast in Daytime again.

I did. 6 years. She failed. All around, all the time.

That temp r ecast was ten billion times better in the short time she was. Its sad.

I mean, id at least be less pissed if they ddint fire an actress who has found her footing and started to work out. i buy FT as GG sister, as the girl falling for Brady and watching out for her brother in terms of Sami. She also has great friend chem with Molly burnett and works well with the entire cast. No reason to recast. At all. This is stunt casting, pure and simple, bad casting at that!

See, i didnt midn GG & EM too much, i didnt find them awful. Not great, and they are no doubt better than they were on passions. But LH was god awful make me wanna rip my hair out bad. Never once she didnt come close to making me root for her.
