OK guys, I'm hearing a major death that is in the works from several sources, and it's pissing me off. I'm not a big fan of this actor/actress, but this is really damaging to the next generation of the show if true.

These hacks needs to be fired for this sh!t, this character could have easily be written out without another DEATH on this f.ucking show.

PM me if you want to hear...

When this goes public, I'm sure there's going to be severe hell to pay, if this death is indeed true that I'm hearing about from a number of people...

Can you drop a hint/spoiler? A whole lot of us are predicting a whole killed Adam mystery, so that wouldn't be surprising.

If not Adam, I am going to guess Lily. CK might want to try prime-time and MAB really struggles with writing for the Winters.

I love the fan backlash this writing regime is receiving across the net on various boards. I cannot think of a show that deserves it more right now, especially one that wastes away its potential like this one.

I cannot believe what I heard today regarding that spoiler. This show really has no limits to its stupidity anymore.

These people are hacks, and I don't care if anyone hates that word, there's no other way to describe this type of incompetence.

I think people actually speaking up NOW instead of five years down the line(hoping it will get better, taking three weeks-three months of good story and good performances over great, solid storytelling on a consistent basis utilizing all the characters on the canvas) shows how much people care about this show and want it to succeed.

Whether or not one agrees, I feel that Y&R anchors the entire daytime soap lineup all across the board. And I don't know if daytime can survive without it.

The point is kind of moot because daytime isn't going to survive with Y&R, unless a miracle occurs. ATWT, AMC, GH and OLTL are all at cancellation levels as we speak. If they make it 3 more years I'll be surprised. ATWT is already living on borrowed time, imo. I'm shocked P&G didn't pull the plug on it when GL went down.

LOL! You're probably right.

Gawd, this woman and her henchmen are such hacks. I have to laugh if someone is saying she's saving Y&R or the genre, because she's not. She's just continuing to drag this show to its death. This woman cannot write and execute a proper storyline to save her life.

And then some of the same people say they're just watching for the scenes? Like they watch for just the scenes for the other soaps that they continually dismiss as crap.

This show is in a bad state, a really bad state.

There's going to be hell to pay if this death of a legacy character is confirmed soon.

The backlash against this writing regime has already started, I think it will get more intense.

I know I'll be starting the Fire Maria Arena Bell, Hogan Sheffer, and Scott Hamner thread when the press confirms it!:lol::lol:

Gawd, this show sucks...

The ABC shows have a different cancellation level than most of the other soaps because they are owned outright by ABC.

As for the death of a legacy character, I think Y&R is trying to make us not care about most of the characters, to see them all as disposable, so that we will focus more on the gimmicks, shocks, random psychos, and not care when they keep slashing and burning and phasing out the more established characters. They probably think we are watching to see their twists, not the characters. It's an attitude of, "We're better than this show, watch for what we are going to do next." And this way they can save on money because they will keep weeding out those who cost more.

You hit on exactly what I think they are doing and Maria Bell is going along with it. Now, maybe she made a deal to protect her precious Chancellors so that they can phase out other established characters. And they keep adding more and more younger actors (some who are good)and guess what, most are connected to the Chancellors.

The sad thing is they don't seem to get what people love about their own show. The fact it was such a character driven show.
