Gotcha - good catch though. Hope was older than Adam and medical procedures have improved. I'm sure we both know Adam won't be permanently blind. Can't wait for the scene where Adam, with Rafe, has to decipher what he's touching - "Is that a baby's arm?"

I was thinking if they said one of Philip 3rd females help him to fake his death with the help of a doctor why not Nina. She's the one saying Cane isn't Philip 3rd. Maybe she was sick of Cane lying.

Creative differences and creative conflict can sometimes yield felicitous results. Obviously, MAB's vision for the character and CE's vision for the character were not the same. MAB wanted a hissable monster a David Kimble or Sheila Carter type character, CE wanted a bad guy with a strong streak of humanity in the vein of Jack or Victor . A character cannot serve two masters, and with that in mind, MAB is the boss. There's an audience for the human villain and there's an audience for the freak. It's MAB choice to cater to the audience she wants. It's her show and her vision. In my opinion, from an artistic perspective CE was a bit "more" right and MAB was it "more" wrong. But that's subjective and the truth is that the perfect Adam would probably be a little darker than CE wanted and definitely less freaky than MAB wanted. Shock is most effective when it's doled out judiciously and Adam's moments of shock & awe need to be far less frequent and always rooted in character. As a writer, MAB paints in primary colors with bold brush strokes -- very pop art. CE's style is the complete opposite, very measured, subtle -- like and impressionist. And yet these two disparate & conflicting styles came together in a finished product that was interesting, unique and fresh. What I loved about MAB's & CE's Adam was that (for me) this was a character I thought was wretched & worthless but that I felt was human & redeemable. Of all the actors on the show, ironically enough, CE was the actor who most benefited from MAB's writing style precisely because his forte was in small exquisite details and his weakness is in big angsty moments. MAB needs to not drive away actors who obsess over detail and she needs to not be scared of talking to them. And CE, if he is ever lucky enough to work again, needs to separate moral judgment from the parts he plays, especially because he is born to play dark characters.

MAB's style is also part of the reason why I do not feel the Scooby storylines. All of them, but especially AF & GR, act the way MAB writes. AF is like a cartoon character come to life and that PLUS MAB's broad strokes? OH NO! I get hives just thinking about it. Also, are the Scoobies supposed to be funny? Or are we supposed to be worried about them? Once again, everything is so broad, how do we even begin to tell? MAB needs someone else to write the "young story" or these actors need to play it close to the vest. There's no "tension" in this story or in these scenes. I can't say it because of the stupid subject "Art" but it was the same problem in the Chipmunk story. Emily O'Brien was the only one who really consistently worked for me in that story. She put in these details like the physically drained look, weakened voice, and tiny moments of brokenness scattered throughout. When she was on, I believed. Something has to change here if this story is to work. There has to be a way to create tension & suspense on screen.

Okay. It's official. Kevin is done. Greg Rikaart is a fine actor, and normally I always try to find a purpose for a character. But I can't. Kevin Fisher is done. It's time to move on Rikaart. I'm bored with both the actor and character now.

Emily O'brien on the other hand? Sexy, talented, and still full of potential.

Is Greg Rikaart the right age for Dante on GH? That might be a good move for him and very positive move for GH.

What was that line Eden had about embracing your inner chipmunk? Why the HELL would anyone allow Kevin to speak at a high school assembly? Sadly, the character of Kevin has been completely wasted. Their was so much potential there. At this point, I wouldn't mind seeing GR moving to a show that will give him better material.

I think Kevin wore out his welcome as far back as 2006. The only reason they kept him this long was because he won an Emmy and keeps on getting nominations (well, not this year).

I like Rikaart, but Kevin should have always been the short-term character he was intended to be. Once they started whitewashing the crimes he committed and propping him at the expense of others, I was done with him.

I think Kevin, Jana, Gloria, and Jeffrey all need to be written out. They serve no purpose on the show anymore and they've become way too cartooney.

Kevin would have been fine if he was only slightly redeemed. He should have still been the town pariah and certainly not BFFs with Katherine Chancellor!

Poor Heather. She is never on the right side of any case. Strange that she didn't acknowledge her history with Daniel. Not that they had some great love affair, but it seems like she would have said something to him.

I KNOW. Dumbest thing written in at least the last month. And for Victor to swallow it? Hell NO. The gaslighting thing was good... but it's going off the tracks at this point. We'll see if the Adam/Rafe thing redeems it. This SL is quickly becoming Karen Black in Airport 75'... "There's no one flying the PLANE!!" And I agree about Kevin. Stick a fork in him. Gloria, too. I still maintain that not sending Glo to jail with a HUGE splashy trial where Glo goes down in blaze of glory was MAB's biggest mistake so far. that's a payoff fans have been waiting for, and one Bill Bell would have given us.
