Y&R: Week of June 15-19, 2009

I think that is what we were talking about last week. I think that was Edward-the-psycho, and AlphaNguy74 tells us it happened in 1979. If so, that was a BIG year.

Mark, Crazy Edward wasn't in 79, that happened in 81. I liked the story, and as I said, Melody Thomas has stated that it's HER personal favorite. I do think Vanessa's suicide happened in 1981 as well. 79 was the tracheotomy and the Chris Brooks kidnapping. But of course, that had the potential to be STUPID, but Darlene Conley made it superb! The woman was an ICON.

Nina, Jill and Katherine were naturally the only good thing about this episode. Loved Nina ordering a DNA test at the end...

Daniel Goddard is such a sh!tty actor.

LAME = Zzzzzzzz

This stupid art storyline and the Scobby gang just need to go away already.

Alex Chando?

I could get behind that, if she is capable of being tough. Colleen is not Victoria, but she needs to be tough sometimes as well. That's on of the many reasons I miss AL in the role.

She would actually be a good fit for the role. I can't see her suddenly slipping into being Australian or TPTB letting her leave every 5 seconds to do some low budget movie that no one will probably ever see.

I'm sorry, but why the hell is Gloria needed on this show? They obviously HAVE NO IDEA what to do with her, and if her role is simply comedic relief, then that's a waste of time and money. If they must "pare down" then Gloria is one of those characters that can and should be written out. She brings nothing to the show and they seemingly don't know what to do with her, hence lumping her and Jeffrey into this Jill storyline, which is played for laughs anyway.

I'm tired of the directionless and filler characters on this show, especially when real vets are being let go or asked to take paycuts.

Basically.

My question of the day: how many years does someone have to be on the show until you consider them a vet?

At least 10. It depends on the person. Sometimes it takes even longer if the person is a recast. I'm talking about the person feeling like a vet to me, not what the industry considers a vet. It took me years to think of Peter and Jess as Jack and Jill.

...Pretty much.

Exactly.

Colleen is a mix of her parents.

Steady Eddy was totally my guy! I loved that story from end to end.

Yeah, I'm on Nina's side more and more as this story progresses. I feel bad for Jill though. Her world is about to coming crashing down even more than it already has.

Greg's GL hasn't been around lately. I hope he didn't leave the board.

If P3 is alive, and she continues to love Cane, Jill's joy is about to be doubled!

And they better make the storyline great with a great storyling following that... something that doesn't involve those two vultures.

Greg's GL hasn't been around lately. I hope he didn't leave the board.

Maybe he's having finals or something, so he's taking time off like I did...

And then maybe Brittany can come back and hook up with Cane, and the joy will be tripled!
