To me it is not the true "reunion" in the sense of the word. I am going to just quote Joshua on this one, sort of...Nick and Sharon have unfinished business. IMO, the writers have whitewashed most of Shick's history for a reason - noticed how they have never talked about any of their sordid or tragic history except for Cassie. One would think they never had problems except for that. Nick and Sharon are very IDEALISTIC and sometimes there is nothing wrong with that..but they have taken it to an extreme level. This idea of this perfect family that they never truly had back in the past.

So for me anyway I don't mind seeing them back together if only it would make them realize that they really did have serious problems in their marriage and they are doing the same thing now as they did when they were married - which is leave a trail of destruction behind. And gosh, what about Noah - it's like he doesn't even fit into this equation. They don't even think about him when it matters. I have no doubt that he is going to be really angry at his parents - the writing has been setting this all into place.

I think it's the reason you just said - they don't want to do the expected. This whole thing is messy, twisted and uber-dramatic.

By the way - forgot to mention but Gloria and Jeff being completely clueless sleuths is quite amusing.

ETA: Plus I think they're trying to be very evenhanded given the Phick/Shick fanbases. If either was completely shut out i think they'd lose viewers. Smart having Phyllis pretty much tell Jack what was going to happen with Phick then cut to the same exact thing happening.

No the only thing that was missing was a [!@#$%^&*] pile for those two pigs to be screwing around in.

Spot on JimTolkien, their marriage was never ideal and both cheated on each other constantly. I really don't see what their fans see in this pairing, other than maybe some high school sweet heart fantasy that this couple fulfills.

I'm not finding any of this especially dramatic. For whatever reason this whole thing has turned me off to Nick, Sharon, Jack and Phyllis in that order. I can't exactly put my finger on the reason. I just feel like the whole thing is covered in sleaze and desperation. People I generally find sexy are not sexy in this situation. I'm just disgusted by them all.

WOW! So much is going on right now: Everything from Adam's reign of terror against Ashley to Nick's dumping Phyllis for his ex-wife Sharon to Sharon not knowing who has knocked her up (Nick, Jack, Billy????), to Mary Jane having a crazed obsession for Jack to the lame "Scooby-Doo" antics of Daniel/Amber/Kevin/Jana. My question is: Have they forgotten about the "Phillip may/or may not be alive storyline"?

Yeah, kudos to Tom, Janice Ferri Esser and Mike Denney for a great all around episode.

I'll go even further and say Adam is the most interesting character in daytime right now. CE, you're a fool!

I saw it already. :P It's not as good as Friday's, but still pretty fun to watch.

A reply to your post before: yeah, I noticed too that this is like the 4th straight Friday cliffhanger. It reminds me a bit of Carlivati's consecutive Friday cliffhangers. I hope it'll be 5 straight this Friday.

    • I know, right. I after just re-reading the thread, I'm like ooppph!
    • Lulu and Dante were divorced before her coma, but she was still in love with him.  He just didn't know.  They haven't been married for years.    I was pretty mixed about Lulu getting involved when it was just a child out there in the world, but now that she realizes it's Gio I am okay with her telling Dante.  It also is her son's sibling.  I still think it's BLQ's choice though.  Lulu is in a rough spot because I think Dante will be mad if she keeps it a secret and Chase, Brook, Lois, etc will be mad if Lulu tells. Without veering too far into the classic area of the show, I had no problem with Robin telling AJ about Michael.  It may not have *exactly* been her place, but she could see how Carly was manipulating the entire situation.  It also ruined her romantic relationship with Jason for good.  Jason and Sonny were furious with Robin and practically ran her out of town, so I think we were to believe she was the bad guy.  It was a bit out of character for Robin to spill, but KMc was leaving the show.
    • Rewatching/binging THE X-FILES Seasons 1 and 2 (almost done). So much fun re-experiencing, especially re-discovering some of the monster-of-the-week stories. THE WEST WING Seasons 1 and 2 as well - so good to rewatch now with 20 years more life experience and understanding. ALSO.... lol FOOTBALLERS' WIVES Season 3, which is just as bonkers as I remember and so so so so fun. I had forgotten about that iconic season cliffhanger. Good times. Excited to rewatch Seasons 4 and 5 since I remember so very little about them. Hope you've been enjoying!
    • @Toups Tyler Topits listed in alpha order with the breakdown writers 5/12 Monday episode. O'Connor still listed as both breakdown and script writer. Kreizman wrote today's script.
    • Marland was long gone by this point.  He quit in either August/September 1982. I think it was due to letting the actress play out her contract and use her for party scenes and/or scenes with Phillip/Justin.   I was surprised she was still on in June 1983 myself, because I figured she had been written out before Pam Long joined the writing staff. Thankfully, having episodes uploaded during this period on Spauldingfield YT site has helped to connect some of the dots.  It looks as though Pam Long starts the first week or so of May 1983.. and in those first few weeks: Morgan and Evie were both written off and Lillian/Mindy/Billy/Beth/Annabelle all come onto the show.
